I ’ ve been wearing this every time I drive to my elderly mother ’s house( 4 hours away). This summer has been disgustingly hot, but the white color helps deflect the sun and I don ’ t have to slather my entire upper body in sunscreen when I wear it. I can also stick my thumbs in the thumb holes and cover most of my hands. It does get sweaty if I wear it outside in the heat for a while, but as a very pale person, I love being able to just slip something on and get instant sun protection. So far it ’s been washing well and it dries quickly. Definitely planning to pick up abother one at some point. I ’ m almost always a medium in women ’s tops and the medium fits me in a comfy loose way that ’s not too big.

Currently I have 3 Elevate Hoodies and love them all! The New Edition has 2 slight differences from it's predecessor. This one the shoulder has the typical straight line sleeve divider compared to the smooth rollover sleeve. Both designs are appealing and obviously have a slightly different appearance. Probably a good thing since I wear them all the time! The other difference is the thumbhole on the sleeve. The previous edition has a loop for the middle finger and covers the top of the hand slightly better for fishing, but for everyday wear the thumbhole is ideal. I work from home and basically wear the Elevate Hoodie all day with my Breeze Pants. Comfortable, lightweight, and simply a& quot; cool look& quot; are all important to me and this nails it across the board!

I own 5 FreeFly hoodies. I use them in the winter as a layer over a T- shirt and under my heavy coat, pulling the hood over a baseball cap which protects my eyes from sun, wind and snow. This extra lightweight hoodie is perfect in the summer by itself as protection from the sun. It is so cool and silky plus the hood does not blow off my head, fitting perfectly without annoying strings. The raglan sleeve design is well fitting and flattering. I was glad to see the newest colors. The first ones I purchased are all light colored and they get very dirty, especially at the wrists. Sleeves are good length but would n't have minded another inch. Thumb holes would have been nice. I have to maneuver a little to get it over my chest( 46 inch) but it's not a problem, just noticeable. The material has a nice stretch to it. Might have a shirt on underneath or nothing under depending on temperature and wind. Love the hood fit with or without a hat. Zipped up the hood stays on well. Zippers work well. I 've washed it several times now and the material and color still look new. Washing on delicate and hang dry. I like it so much I might get another.

I love it! I am really specific about sun shirts because I live and work on boats and wear a sun shirt most days. Full disclosure: I have tried the Crater Lake and Sunshadow before this and really did not like them. The Crater Lake is 1) kind of soft and does n't breath as well as this one and 2) had sloppy sewing so the sleeve hem unravelled after a couple months of wear. The Sunshadow was low stretch and super restricting to wear and the fabric stained really easily. This* Sunblocker* is amazing. The fabric is super quick drying but not scratchy, the sewing is really neat, and the fabric is stretchy and not restrictive. I sized up from S to M and am glad I did. I personally love the crop. It still protects my whole back, even when I bend over, but is n't too long. Overall, I 'm really happy with it!

I purchased this hoodie for sun protection on a recent 9- day backpacking trip. I bought the light grey colour because I thought it could double as bug protection, since the mosquitoes were horrendous. I really liked how feather- light it was, it dried fast and the hood was great when the bugs were fierce. Furthermore, all the bug/blood/sweat stains cleaned up nicely after the trip and it looks good as new! As for durability and wind- proofness, I will bring it on my next two canoe trips this July and report back:)

Quite happy with this version of the Astroman! Still the same great sun protection and durability but the material seems lighter/faster drying somehow. Not sure how they managed that without sacrificing durability but so far it's held up beautifully! I 'm a sweaty hiker and it's pretty amazing how little sweat this shows and how fast it dries. This lil hoody is also extremely packable- have taken it on quite a few birding/hiking trips and long days bike- packing. I plan to take it to AZ this weekend for a friend's bday trip to really put it to the test( I 've been using it in Idaho thus far). Also- LOVE this pink color. I would buy anything and everything in this pink, so dang cute! I bought a Small and Medium and I 'm keeping the Medium- I 'm 5' 4 '' and about 140- 150lbs( 30 '' waist and 40 '' low hip, aka most of my weight is in my booty/thighs). The small fit fine, but I prefer a looser fit for layering and breathability:) And because this is a sun shirt, looser fit is best for the fabric to keep out sun rays, anyways. The ONLY thing I would change about this: please move the pocket to the chest or somewhere more useful. It's on the right hip and goes backwards which is strange and not natural at all, I really dislike it. I 'd prefer it be on the chest( like the men's version) or even still on the hip but a zippered drop pocket( like the Freewheel Hoodie).

I 've had over a dozen different sun hoodies since they became popular. For Me, this is the best one overall by a wide margin. While some may feel more 'woven', and others more 'plasticy', this one seems to be the best of both worlds providing comfort and protection. It is very soft to the skin, and the material sort of 'hangs' on you without feeling 'clingy'. It has plenty of stretch, but does n't feel like a set of drapes. So far the shirt seems to be retaining it's shape /size perfectly. Interesting enough, I wore it under a hoodie on a cool damp morning... casting really hard, I got too hot for the hoodie, but was reluctant to take it off. Finally I did due to sweating and was very surprised at how well this shirt regulated my body heat. The sweat evaporated quickly, and the shirt provided a nice light layer of protection from the cool damp air and light south wind. Once the sun came out the shirt really shined. Sleeves are plenty long, and the wrist/ hand coverings are a nice touch in case you forgot sun gloves. The hood is fitted nicely, proving excellent coverage while not being obtrusive. I chose the 'Neptune' color and I like that it is understated and does n't scream 'SUNSHIRT!!! If I had to nit- pick one thing, the closure button of the hoodie is a little challenging to snap closed with old worn- out fingers due the material being so soft and light.. but that's really minor. I highly recommend this shirt if You are on the fence, You wo n't be disappointed. I do n't usually do reviews much, but his one was definitely worth a follow up. Good job Simms

[ I recently bought a bunch of sunblock hoodies and have been wearing this a lot more than the others so far this summer, I love it! I 've been hit with skin cancer on my face twice now so trying to find ways to cover up when I 'm outside that do n't require me to bath in sunblock lotion. For context: I live in Arkansas and it's been super hot& humid. We 're currently in the upper 90's/lower 100's with pretty high humidity- dew points in the 70- 75 range most days. For that kind of weather this is the by far the most comfortable of the 3 other sun blocking hoodies I 've tried. This material is very breathable and lightweight like a tech shirt, but it fits loose and does n't show off the finer details of every fat roll I have like a tech shirt. It looks good just wearing it around. The `` activeice '' part is n't entirely obvious like wearing an air conditioner, but I noticed the other day that my exposed legs felt hotter in the sun and took longer to cool off once I got out than my arms/torso so it does seem to actually do something. If you live in a hot climate that is also humid, there is n't a better option I 've found, so just buy this. Most of the others I 've tried use some cotton- like materials that soak up humidity or they are thicker& less breathable and start to get a bit too warm when the temp hits 90's and the humidity is high. My only complaint is the collar/base of the hood. The closest pic of the hood up on OR's website you 'll find is a guy reaching back to start to pull it up, so I 'm assuming they already know the hood looks a bit funny, but sharing on the off chance they read this for next years version. I wish the hood had two sections that crossed under the chin or something similar instead of the solid strip. I do appreciate the neck coverage and it looks good when the hood is down, but when the hood is up you look like you 're in one of those face- in- hole photo boards or about to go bee- keeping. Most of my friends are master- level wisecrackers so it will have to be really sunny day before I wear this around them with the hood up. Pro- Tip: It looks better( to me at least) when wearing a hat and pulling the hood over the brim, and gives better sun protection on the sides of your face that way as well. My second minor improvement would be that it could be maybe just one inch longer, I 'm 6'00 '' and 200 lbs. The length is great for the most part but if I 'm reaching straight up it shows a bit of belly. Overall though, this is easily the winner of the bunch I 've tried for the dead heat of summer.

Finally, a top that is a bit younger- styled and flattering, even if you 're not in your 20s! The crop is the perfect length; not too short, not too long. And the fitted body shows off your curves more so than the other styles( my previous and still 2nd fav is the shade hoodie II).
