Ever see the character, Tigger, from the Winnie the Pooh stories? He literally bounces with every step! That ’s how you will feel with these shoes. I bought the shoes because we own 2 large Golden Doodles who need to go outside or be walked several times a day. Sometimes we run. These shoes have gone thru mud, snow, puddles, and more, and never missed a beat. My feet stayed dry and I just rinsed the shoes upon returning inside and good as new. I normally wear a 7. 5, but sized up to an 8 and the fit is perfect. I really like the extra room in the toebox, so I can wiggle my toes. However, the shoes do tend to run a bit narrow, so just a heads up if you have a wide foot. The shoes easily accomodated my orthotic once I pulled out the insole provided.( Hey, Nike, these shoes should have a unglued, easily removable, insole!) Overall, I am thrilled with my purchase.

I 'm very happy with this purchase. The only recommendation for improvement I can make is that the cork handles come unsealed. Since these are going to be used heavily in a wide range of weather conditions, from the hot Arizona sun, Monsoon rains, and even snow, I felt it essential to seal the cork to ensure the handles hold up to the use I plan on giving them. I recommend UV- 40 cork seal. I have used it on fly rod handles I have made and it works perfectly, and lasts many, many years. Make sure to follow the application instructions on the bottle. Apply one good coat using a bristle brush. Make sure you do n't have any drips, runs or sags. Do not apply a second coat, as it will not penetrate.

hiking the uphill of the Scenic Trail head to the 9 Bell Trail to reach Archers Fork Trail loop is a big big big one for a beginner hiker like myself. I 'm really happy with these poles. I 've only used them once so far, but borrowed a similar pair from a friend for a difficult hike before purchasing, so I knew what to expect. The cork is very comfortable. A friend on the same hike had Colombia poles, and got a blister on her hand from the plastic that was part of the cork handle. So I like that these Cascade poles are all cork on the handles. I also prefer cork because foam handles from other poles I 've used turn my hands black. The hike was a semi- difficult trail 9. 4 miles out and back 3, 000 ft elevation gain. I was grateful I had them!

I really love these shoes. Brooks seem to have good quality that lasts. A pair I bought last year( Ghost) is still in great shape after consistent use. I decided to get new ones and I am glad I moved to this style( Cascadia 18). They are super comfortable. I think they will be my new go to. I will say they kind of seem to turn my foot a bit outwards but after walking in them they are very comfortable and my gait was good. The material seems sturdy, and I 've had no issues as of yet. Took it on a cruise to Mexico and a day in Universal Studios,& it worked great. Since then, I 've taken it on numerous walks and hikes without complaint. Plenty of pockets/pouches to hold my stuff. This is my second pair of Calderas. I really do n't run in them much, mostly hike, and I love them. Like other Brooks shoes I have, they have plenty of room in the toe box, which I need. Plenty of cushion but still feel stable. I am a little bummed about one design change from the first pair I had- they no longer have attachment points for gaiters. Otherwise they work great for me. Would love a waterproof version for winter!

Love them!!! I get a lot of compliments on these shoes. I have had issues with planters fasciitis for the last year and half and cracked my ankle from falling because of it. I normally wear Ghosts and have great and love them but I got the Caldera 7 on sale so I decided to try them out. I use them daily, not just for running.
