Great jacket and it is pretty warm. I would say it ās a little tight in the arms and shoulders. Stomach area has plenty of room. If I wear it with the Chubbies comfort hoodie the arms are super tight. Fits much better with the movementum thin hoodie. I am 217lbs 6ft tall. I got in size large. The way it fits XL would look too big. I would say it fits perfect with no hoodie underneath or something very thinā¦ā¦.. on me anyways. I would have loved to see some more colors.

I have this jacket in multiple colours because of how versatile and great it is. It is very lightweight and does n't feel like anything when it's on but provides a surprising amount of warmth on chilly days. I ordered the small size and the fit/cut is great. Both body and arm length spot on. Elasticized wrists help keep it in place and get the draft out. Enough room for underlayer and not bulky or puffy. material is n't noisy either. I have enough black in my wardrobe so I got the dark green/olive and it goes with everything. Even though it's thinner, it provided enough insulation at 30- 40 deg weather. Great buy.

It feels lighter weight and more breathable while maintaining its insulation properties. And neat fun fact it ās also 100% recycled. I ā m a man of many shapes and sizes and the jacket really hides the fact that I was a military man. The thumb holes are subtle enough to be missed but once found it makes the jacket feel like one long fingerless glove. If I had kids I pass this to them. For now, this is mine.

I purchased one of these in Copenhagen 4 years ago, and have worn it on the beach in Oregon at least 500 times. There are no signs of fraying, material is still strong, zippers work great. If it rains, or excess wind demands it, the hood fits well and tightens with clever elastic locking adjusters. The length is just right for me, not too long like some. Chest pocket is perfect for keeping my wallet/ID. I have collected rocks over the years and just put them in the side pocket, and they are still strong. Light weight but excellent in windy conditions. I do n't need to replace it but after 4 years it's looking a bit faded so I ordered another one in a different color and it's on the way. Expect the new one is the same great jacket. Thank you Fjall Raven. [ Wore this on a cruise to Ireland& Scotland. It repelled wind& light rain and I found myself reaching for this jacket often. The fit is nice, I 'm 6' 4 and the XL is nearly perfect. The sleeves are little long( my size is 36/37 so this is probably 37/38) but I 'm ok with it. The front/back length is passing for my height but if the back was longer( like they do with some jackets) it would be even better. If you 're 6' 2 to 6' 3 I think the length would be perfect on both sides. The body is roomy but not baggy, and fortunately not slim fit like some. It's not the best in the cold and the material has a cool feel against the skin, so I wore this with a L/S wool baselayer. Mountain grey is a killer color, my favorite from this brand thus far. I really like they style and I got several compliments.

I have been on the hunt for a longer raincoat that covers my rear. I have a `` regular '' length Columbia raincoat that I love. This one is great and will be in heavy rotation. I got the Greenscape color. I am 5' 5 '' and wear a women's 16. I got an XXL to be able to wear a sweatshirt or sweater under it. It is generously sized. I might have been able to go XL. I knocked a star off for 2 things that others have raised here. The hood is pretty much useless as it either falls in your eyes or flops backwards. Point 2 is that in my other Columbia rain jacket you can tighten the cuffs with a strap to stop water or wind from blowing up your sleeve. The Weekend Adventure has one snap that tightens the cuff by about an inch. That is not going to keep water or wind out.

I bought this specifically for big wall climbing and it was perfect for doing El Cap in a day( first trial run with the jacket!). It's light and packable, taking up minimal space in my day pack and was super easy to take on and off throughout the day between belaying and climbing. Pretty warm with a sizable hood. Pockets are roomy enough for an iPhone. I do wish it had a draw cord and packed into the pocket with a reversible tab for a carabiner( you can still pack it in the pocket, you just have to awkwardly clip to the zipper). One downside to the lightweight fabric is it's extremely fragile ā I tore several small holes in the arms while mantling onto a granite boulder at the end of the day( the other down jackets I 've worn never had this problem, but they were much thicker). I also notice the feathers like to poke out of the fabric rather often, and have to frequently pull them back into the jacket. So: handle with care!

Measurements: 5' 6; 160lbs; M/8- 10 top with B cup; L/10- 12 bottoms Comparing the GW2 in Mojave Tan to UL in Golden Hour The UL:- lighter( duh)- runs big compared to the GW2- sheer, it looks splotchy/dirty- hood fits looser than the GW2- no draw cords- better elastic at the cuffs compared to GW2- SLIGHTLY brighter gold than Mojave Tan, beautiful color when the dark feathers are n't smudging it up* based on color alone, I would choose the UL. Mojave Tan has some pretty strong army brown vibes GW2- fits me better( even with fleece and base layers underneath)- sturdier, I am less afraid of brushing against a branch- draw cord around hips- Tighter fit hood( just around the face, the actual room within the hood seems the same)- Muted gold, pulls a little green Overall, I am going with the GW2. The fit is nicer, I am more worried about snags and holes than I am about saving a couple of ounces, and I miss the draw cord in the UL. It makes me sad though- that Golden Hour is so gorgeous! I would recommend this to only the ounce obsessed- it is a good jacket but not a HUGE upgrade form the GW2 to need the latest iteration.
