I have a little extra length in the arms, which I love because it is a rarity. I feel like I have just enough room that I could wear a crewneck underneath without problem, but it's not bulky without layers. And it's long enough that it covers my bottom! I 'm usually between a medium and a large and I would not size down for a medium in this jacket.

Well this jacket has been a lifesaver, got me through- 20F weather with no problem, it blocks the wind and moisture. The pockets at mid level, that are fleece lined, are a blessing. Well worth the money purchasing but luckily I got mine on sale just before the temperatures dropped and bad weather in eastern Canada. Most times I do not layer but on super cold days I do have a layer beneath and so warm. Extremely breathable. I bought a small and I had room for layering, enjoy the 6 good size pockets, length, quality/workmanship and the warranty. I ’ ve not used in rain days yet but i am sure it will work just fine.

This is a good one which goes to mid thigh on me( 5' 2 '') with the rounded swoop in the back that looks a bit stylish. The hood is adjustable so it stays put and the collar gives lots of coverage as do the longer sleeves which can cover my hands or adjust with velcro at the wrist and the zippers are waterproof. Arms are about average length/what you ’ d expect. The color is a great vibrant green. As to this jacket ’s waterproof- ness I would probably suggest something billed as an actual rain jacket. I think this one could stand up to a drizzle to light rain for a set amount of time, but wouldn ’ t be what I grabbed in anything more. I gave the jacket five stars because I was looking for a windbreaker and this fits the bill.

[ Used this for a two month long hike- Camino Frances plus Fisterra in spring of this year( 2024). Phenomenal. Good for wind and great for rain. But this coat is so light I found it also worked for sun protection. It packs into its own pocket and is very light weight. OR has continued to impress, this true to size( large) fit perfect with room for insulated layer. Light weight, soft fabric that keeps me dry. Limited pockets which is expected in a light weight jacket, it has your two hand pockets and two exterior access chest pocket for your phone, etc. Highly recommend this jacket. If you 're looking for a heavy duty rugged backcountry jacket this likely is n't for you.

I bought this with the intention of it being my main backcountry ski jacket, and not for rain so I ca n't comment on how well it is waterproof. But personally, it is somewhat of a heavy jacket for rainy warm weather. I loved it today in zero temps with a thin fleece hoody and wool shirt on underneath. I was a little concerned about how the stiff, tall collar would feel on my face, but it was great coverage and roomy enough so my neck gator fit underneath it just fine. I sized up in this jacket because I need to layer and went with XL which meant it was fairly long and covered my bum, but still surprisingly close fitting around the hips which is common for me in OR tops. It is a great weight for cold backcountry ski days, lighter than my older OR Skytour shell but heavier than the Motive. I am posting a photo. Love the color too. In the photo I also have on the insulated Snowcrew ski pants which were toasty on this bitter cold day!

Very comfortable. I would say it runs large. Took it on a 10 day trip where we expected lots of rain. Coverage was great, kept me dry during heavy rain, never felt cold or overheated, and easy to layer underneath. Packs well for travel too.

I needed a lightweight rain jacket that was also easy to carry when not wearing. This jacket is perfect though it does run a tad big. Normally a large fits me sometimes even a medium but this jacket in a large is a bit oversized. Still very satisfied with its lightweight feel and packability.
