Immediately after taking them out of the package, the fabric feels like your standard workout material, but it's heavy and looks so flattering on. I love that they have weight to them as a trouser or a jean would. They sit so nice on my waist and do n't roll down. However, the length. I am 5' 5 '' and they are super long, but have styled them with some sneakers that have a platform or give me a little lift and it's not a problem. I noticed the model in the photos was 5'10 '' and they 're just about touching the floor, so that's a great representation of how long they are. I am not the type of person to leave a review, but these joggers are TOO good. I 'm a 5' 2, 130lb girl who lifts weight and does cardio on the regular. These pants are great for either activity- even just walking about. They are extremely comfy and I LOVE the adjustable cuffs on the bottom. I started out with the Folly Twill pant and they just looked kind of dumpy on me at 5 ’ 5 ” and curvy. I wished they hit my ankles where they do on the model, but sadly they land lower and just look weird because the larger size also meant a way wider leg even though I didn ’ t need that. I ’ ve put a ton of wear and tear on these pants with backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and general travel. For being as breathable and light as these are, they hold up to abrasions pretty well. I ’ ve had tons of branches, rocks, and trees slide on these without any major damage. The integrated shoelace/string belt on the interior of the waist is a great little compliment to the external belt loops, no extra bulk with a little extra security. One small negative I have for these are the elastic cinches at the cuffs. They ’ ve held up fine so far, but I ’ m always worried about losing one of the little clips that go on them. Just make sure you loosen them before taking the pants off and double check that the 2 pieces are still there.

I love these pants for hiking and backpacking. The material breathes well, dries quickly and is cool in hot weather but warm enough when actively hiking into the upper 40s even in a mild breeze. The draw cord at the waist is very nice and works well. Eliminate need for a belt, which gets in the way when carrying a backpack. The draw chords at the cuffs are nice, but they require a plastic attachment, which is easily lost. They should be supplied with one or two replacements when purchased.

The transit pants are a step- up in fashion compared to the standard Ferrosi pants. Granted I 'm not a fashion master as my wife reminds me but these are versatile enough to wear climbing or to work. They do n't have the zipper thigh pocket but as I mentioned this gives them a slightly more formal look and fit. Obviously it goes without saying that they are comfortable, stretchy and lightweight like the entire Ferrosi line. I do wish they were a bit thicker( like this version from years ago), but they are thick enough for construction work. They happen to be just right for backpacking in the Winds of Wyoming- warm days, cold nights. As to the comments from others about being too tight, order a larger size… Pockets are adequate for what I put in them but they are not giant cargo pockets. No offense, but size up. I ’ m specifically speaking to my thiqq boys that make noise in the gym. We love leg day, we do it because it allows us to hike for longer. We do it for the glutes. Trust me when I say it ’s not you it ’s them. Size up and thank me later. Aside from the sizing I love these and I personally think they are a great investment if you want to take your hiking attire to the next level. Ventilation isn ’ t the cure for everything and everyone sweats differently. The ventilation here definitely cured my souther sweat factory. I used these on a hike and my back was getting sweaty so on way back I ventilated and holy cow what a difference. You sacrifice a pocket and some thigh space by having the zipper to ventilate but this thiqq boy doesn ’ t like to chafe and am I happy I found these. I still give these a 5 star regardless of the size up. I do not like to have a sweaty bottom or back and this did exactly what I needed. Take the time and invest in gear that will last longer, haste makes chafe.

I bought these pants for ski touring, mountaineering, and backpacking and I have been nothing but impressed. The material is strong but still breathable and it repels water well. On a recent trip to Peru they kept me warm but also cool during the day. I am very impressed by how well these pants maintain a good temperature. This has quickly become one of my favorite pairs of pants. I am 5 ’ 11 ” 150lbs and a medium fits me great.

I use the pants weekly at the gym for climbing. They do a great job of protecting my knees and legs from scratches. The pockets are zipped which is nice. I do n't lose my keys or phone. I think these will stand up to years of climbing. I 'm headed outdoors with these in a month.

FINALLY a pair of long Johns that are actually long!! My long time struggle in looking for base layers is the length and fit around the curvy areas of my legs( calves, thighs and hips) and these have been the first pair I genuinely enjoy wearing and also keep me very warm! I will be buying another pair should I need them and can still order them when these wear out or I need a spare. I simply can ’ t say enough good things about these bottoms!! At 5 ’ 7 ” I feel I shouldn ’ t have to hunt for long enough pants, but here I am having to do just that. I ’ m glad I bought these& can enjoy them for a long time thanks to Carhartt ’s durability. The top is equally as warm if not even more, the seams on the top can be a little scratchy but I just slip a snug tshirt underneath and problem solved.

I had a pair for a week very warm and comfy, made my booty look awesome! the only flaw is the seem down the middle has the potential for a camel toe but i never had that issue, it was just an initial concern but as long as you get the right size no worries. [ I normally wear the Fjallraven Keb trouser but was looking for something lighter for mid summer hikes in the sweltering northeast, these absolutely fit the bill although I will most likely tear these apart quicker than the Keb. Not because they are low quality, but because I am a big dude and very hard on my gear.

These are by far my favorite pants ever for trekking, travelling etc. Super comfortable and lightweight, but also tough as nails. After several overnights and rounds of deep mud and butt- sliding down rocks, they still look brand new.

Usually wear a 34 and ordered a 33- 34, fit and felt fantastic. Vent zips are perfect with plenty of pockets. Hiked on the coast with these and they kept me warm enough from the ocean breeze yet i wasnt uncomfortable for a second because of excess heat. I love the way these pants feel and look. I recently bike commuted in them in the rain and unexpectedly they did great shedding water, they barely got wet at all. I love the stretchy waistband and overall fit. Being a little taller, they bottoms are a few inches above my ankles but that's fine if you 're looking for that. I would love an identical option that extended another 6 '' or so and in a few more fun colors. I 'm about 5' 7 '' and 133# and a size S was just right to avoid a baggy look that still moved well. I always seem to fall somewhere between an OR size S and M for bottoms, though.

I LOVE these pants. I bought a pair 6 months ago and am buying more in case OR ever gets rid of them. I 've tried the OG ferrosi climbing pants& the ferrosi leggings, but these are my favorite. I climb in them frequently and they hold up on wide cracks and sharp crystals. They look great and are so comfortable. I love that they are slightly cropped& tapered so they stay out of the way when climbing. I 'm 5' 4, 130lbs,& typically a size 4,& the size small fits perfect. I will buy these pants over& over again.

I own two pairs and highly recommend them. This style goes from day- to- day errands to casual dining to travel to hiking- an excellent multipurpose piece of clothing! I recently took a skid on a downhill abrasive, pebbly hike and thought `` this is end of these pants ''. I was wrong- they were n't at all damaged and the rock dust just brushed off. I would love to see some more colors in muted tones- gray, drab olive green, etc. The khaki color goes with most color tops, but the green is an evergreen color that does n't go with most of my wardrobe, just the black and white tops. I dress in dull colors that do n't show travel wear.
