We bought this after giving up on trying to secure a hanging bag to the ceiling in our garage. The bottom base is attached by a huge zipper, it seems pretty heavy duty. We 've had it less than a month, though. Time will tell! The punching bag does seem to lean after using it, but it does n't full stand straight up again. So, depending on your preferences, you may not like that if space is limited. The base is pretty heavy. You have to drag it by the large thick handles which are nice.

After a failed attempt to buy this product from a martial arts discount store online, I purchased this from Dick ’s. The price and speed of delivery was excellent. I was also impressed with the financial options for purchase. The item comes in two boxes to help with cost of shipping and size of the shipping container. Everything was carefully packed and protected. The only downside of the whole process was with the delivery company. Instead of placing it on my porch they left it down by driveway where it could have easily been stolen. Had I not been waiting at home for the delivery I it could have been stolen.

The quality of the stitching on the whole bag and especially around the leather fasteners that hold the chains is superior to less expensive heavy bags. That is an important feature to me.
