I haven ’ t been able to utilize yet in the winter but the elastic waist is much stronger than LL Bean ’s supplex shorts since they went to China for production, and at lesser cost.. [ I got these in size M with the 6 inch inseam and they fit perfectly, i am 5 ’ 11 and 180lbs. Originally ordered size L with 8 inch inseam and those were baggy on me. Very comfortable and i love the back zipper pocket. Only thing i didnt like was the netting on the inside which i just cut out with some scissors, now they are just like regular boardies. Some people like the netting, i dont. The color scheme is beautiful, it dont get no more American than that!

[ Got fit and a choice of lengths. I got the 6 '' inseam which ends just above my knees for the increased freedom of movement and not being a slave to fashion. I have had another pair for over a year and they look like new with frequent use. The mesh liner is appreciated.
