So far so good. Assembly was a challenge by myself but managed to figure it out with some help from a wall. Have been using for a couple weeks now with no issues. It is a little short for me( 6' 4 '') so might try to figure a way to move the foot rests back a bit to gain a couple extra inches. The resistance is fine, it's a little noisy but does n't drown out the TV any more than my old elliptical did. As long as it holds up, use it weekdays for 10 minutes at a time, I 'll be satisfied.

I was a little concerned it would be of poor quality due to the price compared to the others, but if you aren ’ t a peloton groupie and don ’ t need false encouragement tossed at you every five seconds, save some money and get this one. The water resistance is perfect, and once I get stronger the magnetic resistance is going to build on that.( If you do need some false encouragement, there ’s always Apple fitness+) It hooked seamlessly to my phone and the app works perfectly. We assembled it quickly and easily( we are NOT handy people) and it works very well. I 'm a beginner so I ca n't comment on the display- I 'm just trying to burn calories, not race. I like the fact that it's higher than other water rowers because I have lower back issues, so the fact that it's a bit higher, and also that the back/seat is higher than the feet seems to alleviate stress on my lower back. The only `` surprise '' was that it is a bit noisier than other water rowers BUT I think that's because of the tilt of the tank. That said, I think the tilt makes for a better workout because it seems like you 're pulling the propellers through more water( pooled at the bottom of the tank) than you would be with the same amount of water in a flat tank. Frankly, when I tested the flat/level tank it felt `` too easy '' for me. Yes, I know it's about how fast I pull, but I like the additional resistance. It's not so much that it's noisy as that I ca n't watch/listen to anything unless I make it loud. My husband said you barely hear it in the rest of the house. I just wear earbuds so I can listen. One other thing to note: even though you can put an iPad on the lip of the display, you have to be sure to tilt it backwards a bit so the display does n't flop forward from the weight. Last, but not least, you ca n't beat the price( and nominal delivery charge) and availability. It arrived within a few days of ordering it. Great purchase!

The biggest problem is getting the pin in( correctly) that holds the two main pieces together. Even in the video the guy does n't have it right the first time, but it is corrected later in the video. [ I spent a solid researching rowers( from online reviews to customer opinions to pros/cons of water vs chain vs magnetic resistance). While a Concept 2 was desirable, the price was not! Finally, it was a informational video on Instagram by `` trainingtall '' that convinced me to go with chain/fan resistance rower. Sure, water rowers are quieter and have that soothing sound of rushing water, but you have to worry about( a) adding/removing water to change resistance,( b) make sure you use water conditioner to prevent mold and( c) the risk of eventual leaks. With a fan- based chain rower( as opposed to magnetic), there's no need for a variable settings because the level resistance is determined by how hard you pull. Sure, it's definitely louder but the wind generated by the fan is a welcome benefit for someone like me who tends to sweat more than most during exercise. The unit was very easy to assemble by myself and came with all of the parts and tools I needed. After a few minor seat adjustments to eliminate a slight wobble, I was ready to go in under 45 minutes. I like that the moveable, flexing foot rests have nylon pull straps rather than Velcro( which tends to wear out after extended use). The seat is comfortable and glides smoothly( back- and- forth) along the rail. I purchased an 8' exercise mat to go underneath after watching a YouTube workout video of the Stamina X on a bare floor and seeing how much it moved. With the mat, the rower stays put! I will agree with most of the reviews I 've read- the LCD monitor is pretty basic and rudimentary. It's also at an angle that makes the screen very hard to read( even in bright light). I use it strictly for watching my stroke count and strokes per minute- which it does well. To monitor my heart rate and to get a more accurate assessment of calories burned, I wear a Polar H10 strap connected to an old phone( Velcro 'd to the front of the rail( just below the LCD display). I 've been using the rower for 3 weeks now and I 've been very pleased. It's feels very solid and stable with no wobble whatsoever. I kind of wish the pull bar was a bit wider, but that's just me nitpicking!

Perfect for someone who is just getting into working out but does n't want the stress on joints( ankles, knees) and who may or may not have a great outdoor space to walk daily. Quiet to use( just 2 weeks into using it). Easy- ish to assemble. Took me about an hour. Biggest complaint about assembly is that the instructions refer to nuts, bolts, and washers by item numbers( 1) that are slightly different than how they appear on the packaging and( 2) that disappear when you try to open the package. How about making the nuts, bolts,& washers different colors OR showing the item numbers on the plastic instead of the cardboard/paper background? Glad I found this and I 'm hoping it lasts a long time with proper care.

I prefer water rowers to any type of rower. You can fill it as much as you like for a strong or light resistance. I keep mine on the lower end so I can row for 15 minutes. Easy to move you lift up the front and you can push it anywhere with the wheels on the back. I pull it out into the sun and other days I keep it in the garage.

I 've only been using this for four weeks. The product is sturdy and well constructed. The nylon strap looks and feels like it will provide lasting use. The handle is easy to grip and comfortable in the hands. The seat is comfortable and I 've had no issues with it. I 'm starting out with 30 minute sessions on low level to work on my technique and form and very much like the steady resistance. For older first time users on a rowing machine( I 'm 66), if you have n't already been exercising regularly this will give you a good initial workout at level 1. If you 're like myself and do regularly exercise but have n't used a rowing machine, once you feel comfortable with proper technique and form you 'll be ready to push upwards and this machine has very good resistance settings and built- in programs that will challenge you. This rowing machine is wonderful! I did not want to give a full star down- rating for only a minor issue, so will leave my rating at 5 stars. The only issue had to do w/the LCD display attachment. There was a one of 4 screws that did not fit properly in the mounting hardware and my display ended up in a crooked position. However, like I said it's only a minor thing and does not at all impact the functionality of the machine. I 'm so glad that I purchased this rower!!!

I got into rowing at my local gym on this same exact rower and loved it. I deceided to buy one for the house( one of my greatest decisions) and tried Concepts and various hydro rowers. They did n't come close as far as comfort and also they did n't have a high enough resistance which I enjoy. The assembly was more complicated than I expected( it took me an hour to get it fully out of the box and assembled), but it was worth it once I got the whole machine together. I was only able to do 2 minutes on it my first time and my thighs had a good burn going! I also felt it in my lats, shoulders, biceps, and my core a bit, just after 2 minutes on it. I like that you can adjust the resistance and the seat easily. I have n't tried the resistance band cables yet, but I 'm looking forward to it to target my inner and outer thighs like it shows in the video. This machine does n't feel like a beginner machine- I work out already, and like I said, after just 2 minutes on resistance 3, I had to take a break and my legs were burning! If you 're a beginner, you may have to work up to being able to be on it for several minutes at a time. It gets your heart pumping, too!

The rowing machine arrived with a gash in the package and the metal shroud around the Magnet was bent. During assembly I was able to bend the shroud back into shape, thus removing the risk of injury during the use of the machine. Once assembled the machine worked smoothly. In regards to the damage during transport I had very prompt and competent interactions with both the seller and the manufacturer. Obviously, the damage was caused by neither of them, I got it fixed quickly and I enjoy the machine. I was happy with both the purchase process and the quality of the product.
