I did spend on my normal Olympic bar but got this one to save money and get skull crushers in. First thing I did was a practice curl and noticed the noise. I fell in love with rowing the first time I tried it( in a fitness studio)! The only issue was I did n't get to choose how much rowing I 'd be able to do each session and I always wanted more. After a few years of this, I finally decided to buy my own rower. And I love the NordicTrack RW900 Rower! It is very smooth, has lots of workout programs, and a super big monitor. You can choose from so many workouts( in beautiful settings), do your own workout, or set up a program on your own with iFit too. The huge monitor is super nice, making it more fun to do the workout programs( on gorgeous lakes in different places around the world). Or you can watch a movie on the monitor while rowing! There are a couple of things that bother me a little bit though. The seat is a little wobbly and small. And the straps on the foot pads do n't go tight enough if I 'm not wearing the right shoes( ones that have a wide base). But I think the seat is just different than what I 'm used to and I just need to get used to it. I 'm totally fine once I get moving. I do really love having my own rower in my home gym, and there really is n't a better option out there! So I 'm going to continue to row, row, row my boat on this fun piece of equipment! It is just such a good total body workout!

I was a little concerned it would be of poor quality due to the price compared to the others, but if you aren ’ t a peloton groupie and don ’ t need false encouragement tossed at you every five seconds, save some money and get this one. I got into rowing at my local gym on this same exact rower and loved it. I deceided to buy one for the house( one of my greatest decisions) and tried Concepts and various hydro rowers. They did n't come close as far as comfort and also they did n't have a high enough resistance which I enjoy. I purchased my Stamina DT Pro Rower, because I have been an avid hiker and my knees were starting to give up the long haul feeling. I had Stem Cell injections in both knees, and after the few weeks of rest needed to get a low impact form of exercise, to help strengthen them. We assembled it quickly and easily( we are NOT handy people) and it works very well. I 'm a beginner so I ca n't comment on the display- I 'm just trying to burn calories, not race. I like the fact that it's higher than other water rowers because I have lower back issues, so the fact that it's a bit higher, and also that the back/seat is higher than the feet seems to alleviate stress on my lower back. The only `` surprise '' was that it is a bit noisier than other water rowers BUT I think that's because of the tilt of the tank. That said, I think the tilt makes for a better workout because it seems like you 're pulling the propellers through more water( pooled at the bottom of the tank) than you would be with the same amount of water in a flat tank. Frankly, when I tested the flat/level tank it felt `` too easy '' for me. Yes, I know it's about how fast I pull, but I like the additional resistance. It's not so much that it's noisy as that I ca n't watch/listen to anything unless I make it loud. My husband said you barely hear it in the rest of the house. I just wear earbuds so I can listen. One other thing to note: even though you can put an iPad on the lip of the display, you have to be sure to tilt it backwards a bit so the display does n't flop forward from the weight. Last, but not least, you ca n't beat the price( and nominal delivery charge) and availability. It arrived within a few days of ordering it. Great purchase!

I really love this I think it ’s great for in home use. I have about 1000 “ steps ” on mine currently and it works well is pretty quiet and I ’ ve had no issues with it. I am able to balance well enough to use it standing which my room mate can not but can use it sitting down. So if you aren ’ t able to balance well you will not be able to use it standing there is another version with handles that would be best. It ’s small and heavy and it ’s easy for hair or dirt to get into the areas so it ’s probably best to keep it away from where your pets might be.

[ I received a free Stamina in option E1000 Compact Lower Body Cardio Workout Strider Machine by Spreetail in exchange for my honest review. Upon receiving the machine I noticed how heavy and well made it is. I put it together in under 10 minutes, it was super easy. The photos show people standing on this for use- I would say that is not really going to give you the greatest workout, it would be more to improve balance as the stride is very small. Too small to be effective while standing. As a seated cardio machine it is wonderful. It counts your stride or time which I thought was very cool for making goals. The resistance levels are also large enough to give someone brand new a challenge or a seasoned athlete some cardio. I shared this product with my dad as well who is 75 years old. He has trouble walking or standing for long periods because of hip pain. This gives him a way to exercise safely and without pain. It is pretty easily portable but is a bit heavy. It would be great to have under your work desk to get some movement while sitting for hours! All in all a very well made product.

I prefer water rowers to any type of rower. You can fill it as much as you like for a strong or light resistance. I keep mine on the lower end so I can row for 15 minutes. Easy to move you lift up the front and you can push it anywhere with the wheels on the back. I pull it out into the sun and other days I keep it in the garage.

It is a little short for me( 6' 4 '') so might try to figure a way to move the foot rests back a bit to gain a couple extra inches. I 've only been using this for four weeks. The product is sturdy and well constructed. The nylon strap looks and feels like it will provide lasting use. The handle is easy to grip and comfortable in the hands. The seat is comfortable and I 've had no issues with it. I 'm starting out with 30 minute sessions on low level to work on my technique and form and very much like the steady resistance. For older first time users on a rowing machine( I 'm 66), if you have n't already been exercising regularly this will give you a good initial workout at level 1. If you 're like myself and do regularly exercise but have n't used a rowing machine, once you feel comfortable with proper technique and form you 'll be ready to push upwards and this machine has very good resistance settings and built- in programs that will challenge you. The assembly was more complicated than I expected( it took me an hour to get it fully out of the box and assembled), but it was worth it once I got the whole machine together. I was only able to do 2 minutes on it my first time and my thighs had a good burn going! I also felt it in my lats, shoulders, biceps, and my core a bit, just after 2 minutes on it. I like that you can adjust the resistance and the seat easily. I have n't tried the resistance band cables yet, but I 'm looking forward to it to target my inner and outer thighs like it shows in the video. This machine does n't feel like a beginner machine- I work out already, and like I said, after just 2 minutes on resistance 3, I had to take a break and my legs were burning! If you 're a beginner, you may have to work up to being able to be on it for several minutes at a time. It gets your heart pumping, too!

I received the order from Dick's within 2 days by Fed EX. All of the pieces, nuts,& bolts were included. The two wrenches that they send you are ok, but I used my own. When you get to the part about attaching the two rails for the seat, I found that part a little confusing. Also, the 3 pins that they send you to adjust the seat and hold it together, should be replaced with bolts, especially the one that adjusts the seat. It can pop out while you are doing sit ups. I gave it 5 stars, because it is a solid piece of equipment, and the cushioning is great, so it does n't hurt when you do sit ups. It also has the adjustment of slant, for harder sit ups.

[ The assembly was time- consuming, but the instructions were clear and all of the parts were easily identified. I have used the unit three times now, and it seems to work fine for my needs. I have an ankle injury and need to get some aerobic exercise not involving my legs. The only drawback so far is that the pedal box is very noisy( a squeaky noise) when you first start exercising. The noise abates a bit after some time of using, but it is still there and annoying. That is the reason I have given a 4 rating instead of a 5. Is there any way to lubricate the mechanism in the pedal box?

We are converting one room in our home to a home gym. This rowing machine is equal to any commercial machine I have used in a gym. Smooth and easy to use. Set up is a little challenging. The biggest problem is getting the pin in( correctly) that holds the two main pieces together. Even in the video the guy does n't have it right the first time, but it is corrected later in the video. Be patient this part is a pain. After it is together you will have a great machine and be very glad you bought it. I am so impressed with Stamina products that I bought a recumbent bike, that just came in today. I am looking forward to getting it together and giving it a try.

I bought this rower during the pandemic and it's been my go- to ever since. I never had any issues, even when I transported it from state to state when I moved. I only wish there were classes to take that can record my progress. It does have programs already but not what I was looking for but I still love this machine! I once considered the Concept 2, but this rower had the best price.

[ I spent a solid researching rowers( from online reviews to customer opinions to pros/cons of water vs chain vs magnetic resistance). While a Concept 2 was desirable, the price was not! Finally, it was a informational video on Instagram by `` trainingtall '' that convinced me to go with chain/fan resistance rower. Sure, water rowers are quieter and have that soothing sound of rushing water, but you have to worry about( a) adding/removing water to change resistance,( b) make sure you use water conditioner to prevent mold and( c) the risk of eventual leaks. With a fan- based chain rower( as opposed to magnetic), there's no need for a variable settings because the level resistance is determined by how hard you pull. Sure, it's definitely louder but the wind generated by the fan is a welcome benefit for someone like me who tends to sweat more than most during exercise. The unit was very easy to assemble by myself and came with all of the parts and tools I needed. After a few minor seat adjustments to eliminate a slight wobble, I was ready to go in under 45 minutes. I like that the moveable, flexing foot rests have nylon pull straps rather than Velcro( which tends to wear out after extended use). The seat is comfortable and glides smoothly( back- and- forth) along the rail. I purchased an 8' exercise mat to go underneath after watching a YouTube workout video of the Stamina X on a bare floor and seeing how much it moved. With the mat, the rower stays put! I will agree with most of the reviews I 've read- the LCD monitor is pretty basic and rudimentary. It's also at an angle that makes the screen very hard to read( even in bright light). I use it strictly for watching my stroke count and strokes per minute- which it does well. To monitor my heart rate and to get a more accurate assessment of calories burned, I wear a Polar H10 strap connected to an old phone( Velcro 'd to the front of the rail( just below the LCD display). I 've been using the rower for 3 weeks now and I 've been very pleased. It's feels very solid and stable with no wobble whatsoever. I kind of wish the pull bar was a bit wider, but that's just me nitpicking!

I have been loving this air rower! Its so light that I can move it when its not in use and bring it out on my own! The seat is very comfortable allowing me to do a full workout without having 'that' pain. I can control the level of resistance with how hard I pull.
