I am usually an XL in Nike bottoms and the XL size for these shorts fit perfectly. So far I have worn them for strength training, running, and walking indoors. I bought the salmon pink color in S. It's very eye- catching and bold and probably you should to pair it with a white or gray top. I love the pockets with zippers, which make this product similar to much more expensive branded shorts. I have not washed them yet; let's see how they last this summer. Warning that the shorts are true to size. The S is ideal for at most a 30- 31 '' waist. It would probably be best on a 29 '' I 'd say. The inseam of 7 '' is just right since the 5 '' version from VRST is kind of like underwear in my opinion.

Shorts are very comfortable. I wear them when I run, and thus far they have held up nicely for several 4- 6 mile runs. As the weather warms I will definitely try them on longer outings. They do not ride up and the interior lining has not created hot spots. The pocket size if extremely convenient for carrying needed items on the run. They compare extremely well with the name brand shorts I have come to rely on for running, and I will definitely look for more of these VRST 7 '' shorts. The shorts do run a little larger than the other big name brands I have purchased. Consider purchasing one size smaller.

I bought a pair of these when they first came out a couple of years ago and always saved them for my `` dress '' shorts. I always looked forward to wearing them as they are the most comfortable shorts I have ever owned. I finally decided to replace my lined Breeze shorts with the active breeze shorts because they are just so much more comfortable than the Breeze short. The extra comfort comes from the difference in the waste band. The old Breeze short had a typical stretch liner but the new active breeze short has more of smooth band where you do n't feel the waist band against the skin, you dont actually know you are wearing them.
