My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.

The shorts might run a little small. I tend to wear the L pants but got the XL shorts and they work well for me. I like the internal liner, but still wear by boxer briefs with them. I really need to try them without the boxes and see how they work. The pockets are a good size, but anything in them will swing as you run or walk fast. the draw string come in handy to tie the shorts off and hold them up.

The shorts are clean and tight looking, I enjoy wearing them with a plain white or black poly tee with some low cut white shoes. It's great for a summer date night outfit or just other casual event that you want to have a nice clean look for. Pockets are very usable and not too shallow. There is actually a right hand side small zip up pocket that is good for a car key or small set of keys or some cash. [ I really impressed with the shorts when i pulled the shorts out of the bag. At first glance, they didn ’ t look like what i typically wear to work out in. They were styled more like a daily use pair of shorts. The fabric had a nice weight to it and felt great. Usually anything i get with dri- fit is on the thinner side. The shorts fit great, not overly loose, and the legs were wide enough without looking baggy. I really like that they ’ re made for working out, but the design doesn ’ t yell out “ i just got done working out! ” I will probably use these for outdoor walks/hikes, versus in the gym. The heavier weight will help block the wind and if they do get a little wet, they should dry out quickly. I do wish the pockets had zippers or snaps to help keep things from falling out. My phone, wallet, and, car key all fit without the pockets feeling over filled. Nothing fell out of the pockets getting in and out of my car, but I will always keep thinking about that when I have them on. These shorts are great for a workout, with a quick stop either before or after.

Before receiving these I never heard of the VRST brand so I am glad to know they have clothing for people who are active outside. First thing about these shorts is the fabric, they are made from nylon/elastin. This combo gives you a very soft stretch short that feels great on the skin and moving around will be a breeze due to the stretch it provides. Second the fabric has moisture wicking technology to prevent being sweaty and sticky as you move around. The next big plus is the 50 UPF which stands for ultraviolet protection factor meaning any area the clothing is covering will be guarded from the rays outside. These shorts are amazing. I 'm 6' 3 and 217lbs( somewhat fit) the size XL fit just right. With the built- in compression shorts these hit right above the knee. There is a pocket on the left side of the compression short, it can hold your cell phone or wallet. There is a small zipper pocket on the right butt cheek and a loop on the left hip, where you could place a small towel to hold while working out or a spring link clip that is holding your keys. I 'm my opinion, the right& left pockets of the shorts are fairly deep, I can place my phone in the pocket and be worried it would fall out when taking a seat. This is my second pair of these shorts, I 'm thinking about snatching up the black pair next. Hope this review helps.

Another nice pair of shorts from Dick's, I 've gotten quite a few now from Dick's Sporting Goods and have been happy with all of them. This pair is no exception. Really excellent shorts in fact. These are made of a thin moisture wicking material with an inner integrated 'underwear' compression part. This is well- designed and it's not too tight but supportive enough for any activity, whether running or plyometrics. This are quite short, a real modern style running short length. The shorts are loose enough to not restrict your movement when you are active. But with the inner compression part you do n't need to feel self- conscious if you 're down on your back lifting your legs in a fitness class or something. The stitching seems very good, with it being stitched in an eye- pleasing way- by this I mean it's not just a plain 'bag' like one- piece short- it looks good. There are two pockets on either side with the left one having an inner zipped pocked. This is n't real large but it's stretchy, so my mid- sized Samsung phone fit in it just fine. It's seems to be sturdy enough to hold a phone without it bouncing inside there. So, a really good pair of shorts, they seem to be well- made and well- designed.

Material seems similar in feel to the tech fleece line but for a cheaper price. The material is also cooler than tech fleece. I find these can be worn in temperatures above 80 degrees. Note the 7inch inseam, I ’ m am 6ft and the medium fit well but could feel a short compared to the regular tech fleece shorts
