The shorts might run a little small. I tend to wear the L pants but got the XL shorts and they work well for me. I like the internal liner, but still wear by boxer briefs with them. I really need to try them without the boxes and see how they work. The pockets are a good size, but anything in them will swing as you run or walk fast. the draw string come in handy to tie the shorts off and hold them up.

[ I really impressed with the shorts when i pulled the shorts out of the bag. At first glance, they didn ’ t look like what i typically wear to work out in. They were styled more like a daily use pair of shorts. The fabric had a nice weight to it and felt great. Usually anything i get with dri- fit is on the thinner side. The shorts fit great, not overly loose, and the legs were wide enough without looking baggy. I really like that they ’ re made for working out, but the design doesn ’ t yell out “ i just got done working out! ” I will probably use these for outdoor walks/hikes, versus in the gym. The heavier weight will help block the wind and if they do get a little wet, they should dry out quickly. I do wish the pockets had zippers or snaps to help keep things from falling out. My phone, wallet, and, car key all fit without the pockets feeling over filled. Nothing fell out of the pockets getting in and out of my car, but I will always keep thinking about that when I have them on. Bought a size large thinking the xl was going to be too big and could n't try on due to renovations being done at the store. Overall the length is good and sits above my knee. Perfect for basketball, just a little tight around the waist.

My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.
