You will not regret buying these shorts! I needed to refresh my running collection and ordered several different styles of shorts to try. I returned some much more expensive shorts( very popular brand name) to the store and decided to browse around while I was there. I am so glad I stumbled upon these shorts! They are the most comfortable and best fitting I 've ever owned. The knit waistband is perfection-- does n't dig in, is high- waisted enough that it looks cute with crop tops. The body the shorts are a very lightweight material-- if I had to dig for a negative, it's that they are SO light and airy and sometimes when I 'm running at the gym, I 'll just do a quick glance over my shoulder to make sure I 'm covered. I always am, but they are that breathable and light. But not see- through or sheer. I did buy black and the dark red and ca n't confirm the see- through qualities of the lighter colors. For size reference, I am 5' 6 '', 138#, a 6 in most pants and I bought a medium. I probably could 've gone with a small, but I do n't like things to cut into my waist. The waistband does n't stretch out with wear, so I think the size is perfect.

I was not a huge fan of the low rise versions for coverage reasons and upon trying these on I fell in love. They have slightly more coverage, are super lightweight, beautiful colors, and they are great for strength training and running. Overall a great purchase for the spring/ summer. I ’ d recommend going a size up because they do fit slightly small but also because of the slit in the leg it would be easy to get away with going true to size if you are fine with a tighter waist band.

Great shorts, light, good length( I ’ m 5 ’ 6 ”). The more I run the more I want shorts that cover what they need to cover but otherwise get out of the way. There ’s a decent sized zippered pocket in the back which I don ’ t always need but it ’s also not noticeable so it ’s a well designed feature. I have them in black and football gray and hope Nike offers more colors like navy, gray, and light blue.

Then I tried a pair of the 3 ” breakaways and my goodness, what a difference. These 3 ” breakaways make you feel faster, stronger, and they look stylish. [ These breakaway shorts are great for running. Instead of shorts or pants sticking and chafing my skin on each stride, these just float away and move with each leg. This lets me think about the run and anything else instead of having the friction from fabric on my mind. I think this lets me run more and makes runs more enjoyable because of that lessened mental load. It's very bright and yellow, which is great when I 'm running. The fabric is very thin and lightweight. It's not quite see through, but something to be mindful of. At this short length of a short, I guess it's not much of a concern for wearers. I 'm going to keep this review short so I can get back out in these shorts and start another run!

I normally don ’ t write reviews. But these are by far some of the most comfortable and flattering running shorts I ’ ve worn in a long time! I ’ m 5 ’ 5 ” 115lbs and the XS was perfect. Waistband just right, not too tight or loose, and the rise is in- between typical mid- rise and high- rise so I don ’ t feel like I ’ m having to roll them down or pull them up to be flattering. Sitting down they don ’ t bunch up. I went back and bought them in every color. Just buy them for yourself before they sell out!
