I do n't necessarily see myself working out in them, but for what I needed them for, they are great. They 're lightweight, breathable, and are very cool. Overall, they are n't as short as they 'd seem with a 5 '' inseam, as you can see in the pictures. I am 6' 4 '' with long legs, and they do n't seem excessively short to me.

I have purchased four pairs over as many years, one was nearly identical called Abisko Lite Trekking Shorts but I see no difference, the current `` Lite '' model does look different. Anyhow these are simply great from nearly every perspective. Light, but reinforced where you 'd want them to be. Stretchy and slim, not baggy and sloppy and yet you never feel constrained by them especially if you have big thighs. I 'm very glad there's no back pockets but instead a reinforced seat, my area if NE has much sharp granite you end up sitting on these do well. There's two well thought out low- profile cargo pockets that look sharp and are actually useful. Glad there's a mesh pouch for a phone in one. And low profile zippers for the properly deep hand pockets to keep items from falling out. What would I add? two small plastic snaps on the bottom cuffs so you could roll them up once and get a little more above the knee thigh cooling. I 've noticed I do this when I am really working and even without any kind of snap the stretchy material generally keeps the `` cuff '' and lets me have a shorter short. Also side vent zips please!. Then these would be absolutely perfect. Anyhow, pair five is being picked up soon.

These are the best shorts out there right now IMO. I used to wear Nike Tempo for running, everyday wear, and sleeping. But I 've noticed that the brief part has gotten smaller with updates, and the elastic waistband irritates me. I 'm also in between sizes in Nike( XXL is too big, XL is uncomfortably small). These Brooks shorts solve all of those problems! I was impressed by the full- coverage briefs, comfy waistband, and perfect length with vents for mobility. They come in sizes not often available in the US, have room in the hips to move around in, and have extremely durable but stretchy fabric; particularly in the middle so movement is never limited. The only ways they could get even better would be to have a zipper leg attachments and the black fabric colors to initially come as one blending color.- Additional Bonus: The pocket set up is amazing!

My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.

Love these shorts, bought a second pair now as well. I have a pair of the Shadow Grey and the White Cream color. The shorts are clean and tight looking, I enjoy wearing them with a plain white or black poly tee with some low cut white shoes. It's great for a summer date night outfit or just other casual event that you want to have a nice clean look for. Pockets are very usable and not too shallow. There is actually a right hand side small zip up pocket that is good for a car key or small set of keys or some cash. The unlined pants are nice that you do n't have to worry about extra boxer liners or brief liners. Price was good value and like the offering of colors for the most part. Highly recommend.

I 've tried all the different short models and these are the best they make( Now I regret bothering with the others and not just getting a bunch of these). Fit is amazing and they are nice and lightweight and stretchy. You forgo pockets, but it's worth it imo and what makes them special. The material is a bit thinner, they ’ re a bit shorter, and generally, they ’ re pared down in a way that makes them less without being lesser. I 'd say the sizing is slightly smaller, though I 'd still call it true- to- size.

[ I really love the feel of these shorts. The fabric is fairly thick for running shorts, may get a bit warm in the summer, but work well for me. Helps to show less panty line too. They are definitely stretchy( I am 7 months pregnant in the photo), but still feel really durable. Not like lululemon that starts to pill so easy. The side pockets and adjustable draw string waist is a nice touch too.

Cons: visibly showy( especially the white version) The color is more on the creamy side of white than snowflake white Pros: Super- light- probably my first choice for a long race where the aim is to be as light as possible. Super- soft- Breathable& comfy Pockets are clutch- gels/keys. I definitely recommend it. as long as you do n't have a problem with it being showy... perhaps a super- snug underwear could hide the junk ig... overall, a solid product.
