Definitely buy up 1 size. These shorts are great but they definitely run small. I wear a Medium in shorts but these were so tight that they dug into my skin. I replaced them with a Large and they fit great. I bought the 5 '' in black and pink. The only thing that I do n't like about these shorts is the drawstring. They are so thin that it comes out of the wash tangled and twisted tight every time. It's annoying but not that big of a deal.

[ The DriFit DNA 6in shorts will function for both casual and performance. The mesh is a lot softer than I expected, and it feels great when sitting around and when running. I played basketball in these shorts and it fit great through the rear and thigh. Not too loose, but enough space to move. The length was above the knees for my 6 ’ 0 ” height, and my favorite part of the shorts was the zippered pocket. It does not get in the way when running and I ’ m glad it was there to hold my belongings after play. Overall I ’ d recommend these shorts to anyone looking for a do it all short.

[ I 'm a shorts guy, so let's get that out of the way first. It can be 30 outside, raining or snowing, and you 'll usually find me in shorts year round. It's essential I have several pairs laying around at all times so I can rotate frequently, but since I got these, I do n't feel I have the need to switch out of them as often as I probably should, they are super comfy, and can go with anything else I throw on to wear with them. The fit of these is great, I 'm generally between a M- L in most things depending on how they run, and these are right in the middle for me, which is perfect. If you 're a true large around a 34 waist and do n't like a snug fit, I 'd suggest maybe size up. They do n't shrink when you wash them which is nice as well. The materials are great, nice soft and comfy fit, and really appreciate the fact they have a liner and are n't a single layer of mesh like my Jordan brand DNA shorts( which are basically see- through). They are advertised as 6 '' shorts, but from my experience wearing a lot of running shorts as well, they do have a higher rise and longer outseam, so these are n't going to be hitting you mid thigh like most typical 6 '' shorts do, unless you pull them up to your belly button. For me, it's the perfect length, not at the knee, but a couple inches above. And unlike most above the knee basketball shorts, these are n't super wide at the opening make us guys with smaller legs look like we are swimming in short shorts, I 've had that issue in the past where they are very wide and it just does n't look right with above the knee shorts, but no issue here with these! The material is fantastic, it's not heavy, very soft to the touch, does n't have a cold/cool feeling like typical mesh, but it's got that drifit feel you are used to from Nike products, which I really enjoy. Moisture wicking, breathable, absolutely nothing to complain about with these! These are probably going to be my daily shorts for a while, unless Nike comes out with something better any time soon. I own a lot of different pairs of shorts, but honestly for the fit, comfort, and versatility of these, they are hands down my favorite right now. Either going outside and getting some exercise, sitting at home relaxing, or even running errands on the weekend, these are it for me.

I love the fact that these shorts fall above the knees. These does show your knees if you ’ re not wearing compression shorts underneath. It ’s very lightweight so working out in these, in my case, playing basketball was a pleasure. I ’ ve worn many different shorts to play ball in and these are one of my favorites. It ’s very light and comfy. The material is very breathable so you don ’ t feel like your bottom half is very constricting or hot. Nike did their thing with this dri- fit material. I do sweat a lot when playing ball, but the lightweight and breathable material kept the temp down and the sweating to a minimal. Comfort I give it a 9. 5/10. I can wear this all day! The design is simple but versatile which is why I give it an 9/10. Love the fact that it has regular pocket and a zipper pocket. It has the standard Nike shorts look, but to be honest, I love the simple design because it goes with everything. Durability on these shorts are made to last. You can do your errands or your most strenuous activity and you ’ ll get stuff done. Durability wise, I give this a 9/10. Overall I give these shorts a 9/10. It hits all the buckets I look for in shorts to wear especially for basketball. The simple design and how the shorts fall before knees is what I look for mainly. The lightweight and breathable material while help limiting the sweat helped me choose and recommend these shorts to anyone!

My only complaint is that the actual color of the shorts dont match what is shown in the pictures. The gray ones for example look like a lighter gray but in person are very dark. I find this to be a common pattern with Nike ’s products. Maybe they use a filter on their photos and edit the lighting which in turn changes the color in the photos. These are great shorts. I mainly use them for running and functional training but they are so comfy i even wear them around the house casually. I love shorts that are a bit forgiving around the waist and dont feel like they are suffocating me. The Nike Stride shorts tend to make me feel that way. Also the liner is a great size on these shorts and actually fit, much wider than the stride shorts. I think if you ’ re built wider or maybe your a body builder type with more muscle, then these might be a better fit. I wear Medium in shorts and pants in general and I ordered a Medium in these.

I bought a size down( M) because I like my shorts closer to my body but because of the nice drawstring you can give yourself extra tummy room. Frankly, I could easily wear XL for the popular baggy look, L for the regular sweat- short look, and in my case, go exercise so those M shorts get looser! I do n't put my Nike clothes in the dryer. The outer layer is impossibly lightweight and the perfect length. No bouncing or flopping, just great storage and coverage. They do run a bit big- I have always been XS/S( 27- 28 ” waist) and had to do XXS in these to get a secure fit for the waist and brief liner. Glad I did the exchange though; amazing shorts!

Outstanding update. I ’ ve had multiple pairs of prior versions( incl the ones with the impossible side pockets). The fit and materials are A- 1 this time. The waistband is dynamite and the new side pockets definitely borrow from the Patagonia Striders( that ’s a good thing IMO) and work well. My only concern is the sizing in terms of whether you ’ re a small, medium or XL, whatever. I ’ m 5 ’ 9 ”, 150, 30 ” waist and I need the XS? The smalls last year in the old version were falling off my waist? I ’ m a small in every brand under the sun but need an XS in this short. It ’s odd. I worry if I need another pair that they ’ ll be out of XS like they were last year when I burned out an old pair. Fantastic short that I will buy more of, just not understanding sizing.

I love Brooks clothing! The material is incredibly light and very silky feeling. The waistband is important, and this one is great! The fit is also great. I only had one problem which was a deal breaker for me. There are no pockets, just 2 pouch like places on each side. I was not comfortable running with anything I was not comfortable losing in these pouches. I also like regular pockets if I wear these to run errands and such.

The faux fly and back pocket make these superrrr versatile. They do not flare out much at the thigh which I like. These fit true to size for me. Having a waistband you can cinch is clutch too. These handled leg day with ease- no restrictions! The woven fabric feels great to the touch and wicks moisture crazy fast. If you are looking for shorts you can wear to the gym, but also can somehow look good enough to rock a polo with- these are them. Very impressive!

[ Aside from being slightly snug( not enough to not wear), these are great for my casual runs. The shorts are just the right length to not get in the way, yet no rubbing or chaffing. The hidden zippered pockets are great for hiding money or an ID. They are n't the warmest if you are running on a chilly day, but they are n't letting me freeze either. They do later nice too so I can wear thin compression tights underneath without issue. The color is masculine too and matches most of my clothing. I 've really got no complaints comfort wise, so just know to size up a little bit.

[ I have about 25 miles in these shorts and I love them. They ’ re comfortable and light. I ’ m 5 ’ 8 ” and the 5 ” length is great for my body- type and preference. The pockets are useful and out of the way. There ’s one zippered pocked in the back, four elastic pockets that sit towards the back of my hips, and one internal pocket. The elastic pockets are great for quick grabs like gels. I ’ m usually a size 34 waist in my pants and the medium shorts are a great fit. They don ’ t sag or shift much at all when tied down. Overall these shorts feel minimal while still providing plenty of options to carry basics.

I have been running in a pair of Brooks shorts for close to a decade. As a long- distance runner, I need shorts that are going to go the distance! First, my favorite feature of these shorts is the numerous pockets along the comfortable waistband( including a zipper pocket). The smooth design of the elastic waistband is very comfortable even with things in the pockets. Second of all, the built- in liner compression type shorts are a good fit while not being too tight. I love how soft and plush the fleece is and it feels great on skin. They are nice and thick but yet still breathable. I love nike fleece shorts and own several pairs because they never disappoint with comfort and style. Having an additional back pocket was awesome as they are perfect for everyday wear and can be styled a variety of ways. The design blends function with style perfectly. The classic cargo look is modernized with a streamlined fit, and the side pockets are super convenient without looking bulky. It gives off a chill, athletic vibe while still looking clean and put together. The fabric is one of the best parts — Nike ’s fleece is always a win. It ’s soft on the inside, warm without being too hot, and has a nice weight that feels high- quality. Even after several washes, the material holds up well and stays soft. What I liked most is the overall comfort and versatility — they ’ re just easy to wear. Honestly, there ’s not much I would change. Maybe a zipper on one of the cargo pockets would add some extra security for valuables, but that ’s a small thing. [ These shorts are so comfortable and perfect for everyday wear. The fleece is super nice on the shorts and they fit well. While these are a bit longer than I typically wear for shorts( they hit at/barely above the knee), the legs aren ’ t too baggy which makes them feel more my style. For me, the cargo pockets are more for aesthetics than use, but still nice to have. The button pockets are nice for keeping things secure. They match perfectly to the Club Hoodie for a fit but are simple enough to go with anything.

My 8 year old wanted some of the RealTree/BL 101 collection, so he chose these shorts. I was hesitant at first as I know he typically doesn ’ t wear these BL101 shorts, he likes the regular shorts. However, we bought these ones and he is absolutely in love with them- he wants more... ugh! Oh well! They are great quality and comfy, so I guess take all my money!

These are my new favorite shorts! Wow! Super comfortable, super light, and so very stylish. These are premium shorts that can be compared to very high end brands. I won ’ t mention the brand, but it rhymes with frou- frou- Lemon. These are just as nice, just as well made, and$ 30 cheaper. I love the navy color, I love the shorter length, and I love their versatility. [ The Brooks Dash 2- in- 1 shorts performed extremely well both on road and trail runs. They fit true to size and the fabric was excellent for my typical 6 mile runs. The built in compression shorts were ideal for hot runs and prevented chaffing during humid days. Like all Brooks products the materials used in the shorts is high quality, performed well against sweaty abuse and washes. The shorts looked new even after a month of runs and washes.

[ Got these shorts for my husband and they immediately became a new favorite. I ’ m ordering more for his birthday! He ’s tall and lean but does CrossFit in addition to running, so he has thick thighs. Finding shorts/pants that fit in both the waist and the thighs has been a challenge, but these fit the bill. [ I bought these for cross training, but have worn them mostly for running lately. I tend to stay away from the 2 in 1 for running, but have really enjoyed these! They are very comfortable and breathable. I live in the south and they held up well in extreme heat and were very breathable and did not get soaked or heavy with sweating. In the gym, they stood up to cross training and lifting heavy without any issues. Will definitely be adding a few more of these to my rotation!
