[ Been looking for mittens to ski in as I 've never found a glove/liner combination that works. My wife and kids have mittens, so why does n't anyone make them for men? Bought these because they were half the price of others and I saw a ski instructor wearing a pair. Soft and supple leather. 4- 5 trips out, and totally waterproof in the slushy winter we 've had in my area. Warm? Sort of. If I was using these as work gloves, maybe. With a smartwool liner, though, kept me toasty down into the lower 20s. Quality wise looks great. The leather looks like it will hold up much better than any fabric. Overall very happy with the purchase. Wish they had some more insulation, but well- worth it for the price and hopefully durability.

The mittens performed well above what I had expected. they are 100% wind proof and never let any moisture in. The most extreme weather I used them in was snowshoeing in- 25- 28 °F with a good 10- 15 mph wind. The mittens were so warm that at times I had to remove them so my hands could cool off. The recommended sizing for me was a M. I went up a size and they were snug, but very comfortable. The quality of these gloves are outstanding. I 've already recommended them to a few friends and family.

These gloves are the warmest gloves out their and provide exceptional warmth. I used them while skiing and had to take my hands out due to them being so warm. One thing is they are made so well you need to break them in as they are stiff.

I have been using the OR Mount Baker mitts for the past decade and decided to get these for the really cold days. My hands are always cold but these could be too warm for many days. They are similar to the Mount Baker mitts but the shell is insulated allowing a thinner liner on warmer days without freezing. You do lose a bit of dexterity but these are crazy warm. OR gloves tend to run a bit small and these are no exception.

These are exactly what I was looking for. Thick and warm enough that I can shovel snow or clear off my car without my hands going numb. Not so thick that they limit the use of my hands. Perfect for the horrible cold snap we 're having in my part of the country right now. And the color is great too! So many great choices that it took me a minute to decide which one I liked best.

Used these gloves for 1 day between 14 and 28 deg F with windgusts and snow machines on making icy and windy conditions for a much lower feels like temp. First off, the GoreTex in these gloves holds up to its reputation, the ice/snow from the snow machines stuck to everything and ev eventually would melt but my gloves on the inside didnt feel wet at all even once. Wore these without the liner and they are comfortable, but not that warm. My hands were cold but not super uncomfortably cold by lunch without the liner in. Put the liner in after going back out and it made a world of difference. My hands stayed warm the rest of the day even after the sun went down and temperature dropped significantly. After a full day of use on the slopes carrying ski poles most of the time, there is no sign of any use on these gloves and i am hopeful they keep holding up for me. They were fairly expensive at full price, but seem to be worth it so far.

I have used these for the last 3 snow shoveling events and they are great. They came with glove liners which, although not easy to get on, kept my hands warm on a day with below zero windchills. I have also used them without the liners on days that were somewhat warmer and they still kept my hands warm and dry. They are flexible enough to securely grip a shovel or a snow brush without any problem.

Finally found a pair of mittens that have a removable liner( for washing) that stays put when you put mittens on and off. Fleece liner is comfortable, not bunchy, and so warm. Cuffs are comfortable and make these extra warm. Adjustable strap makes the fit just right. I have very cold hands and these are the best mittens I 've found. Also love the tough exterior on the palm side-- seem like they will be long lasting. Hestra is my new favorite brand-- I also bought the white leather ones for cross- country skiing.

I work outside throughout the winter and the hardest thing to do is keep my fingers warm when it gets 20 degrees or less. I decided to try these mittens for the times I do n't need fingers( gloves). I have owned these mittens through two seasons now. Through that time they have held up very well through trees, being dragged on the ground, and carrying around sharp edges of a snowboard. I waited on making a review to see how they held up over time after being completely soaked and dried numerous times, and evaluate the wear on the palm. Both have impressed, but not as much as their warming capability. The thing that will separate these from other mittens is their ability to warm while wet. They are not as waterproof as some other gloves as this price point, but they are the warmest mittens I have ever used and they retain that warming ability even when the inside is saturated. My suggestion would be an alternative to velcro for the wrist cuff as snow gets caught on it very easily, making it difficult to use( draw string?). These gloves have been used between temps of 15- 45 degrees F on the west and east coast in clear and stormy conditions. Picture displays palm wear after 1. 5 seasons of heavy use.

[ I lost a mitten when hiking, and I really wanted to cry! You see, my hands get cold easily, and they warm up slowly. The mitten I lost had `` gloves '' inside and the extra material kept my hands very warm. Well... I came home and looked at options to buy another set of mittens. Since I like Patagonia's clothing and accessories, I ordered a pair of their mittens. When they arrived, I was shocked at how thin and light they were. However, I decided to wear them on my hike that day. The terrain was snow- covered icy trails in the foothills. Within 15 minutes, I literally had to remove my mittens because my hands were do warm! I love that they are roomy, lightweight, have a great palm covering and can easily fasten onto my jacket. Thanks, Patagonia, for a fantastic winter accessory!

The CZone insert keeps hands dry and comfortable, while the grippy palm provides excellent grip for holding poles. [ Superb quality, warm as can be, and keeps you dry. Three members of our family now own these gloves and they have yet to steer us wrong. The last thing you want to deal with on your ski day is cold, wet hands. This is an investment well worth your hard- earned dollars.

[ Hester is the best. 10 years ago or yesterday. They truly understood what is needed on the mountain day after day. Durable and warm! Thank you Hester!

I 've used them for snowboarding about five times now, and they 've been life- changing. ... Well made and very warm. ... Very impressed with how lightweight and non- bulky these mitts are for the warmth they

Only been using for a short time so durability is unknown but so far they ’ re excellent. Keep my hands warm and super dry all day. The strap to tighten the cuff keeps snow out and the glove fitting tight. Also has wrist straps so you don ’ t drop them off the lift.

These mittens are the perfect balance for 95% of the days on the mountain. Said enough that you can still use them and feel your hands but warm enough and dry enough for the toughest days.

I wore these for a week ski trip through- 15 to- 20 C weather and they were plenty warm. The insulation in the palm compressed from using ski poles, but they still worked very well. For the money, they far surpassed expectations. Sizing chart was accurate and they fit as expected.

I wanted some warm everyday mitts for around the house( we live at 7000' and spend a lot of time outside/ shoveling/ snowblowing snow). These are great- super warm, soft inside and shove in a pocket no problem.

Got these for my mother and she has really liked them for cold windy walks with the dogs. While they are great for walking and casual outdoor activities I would not recommend them for skiing or any rougher conditions. They are a softer material that doesn ’ t have the tough material on the palm. Overall they are great mittens for walking and staying warm.

These gloves are definitely warm! I accidentally got them a size too big so it is hard to do much when wearing them but otherwise perfect for strolling through any winter paradise- woods or city! I love the bright yellow color- definitely not losing these!

Bought these for a last minute ski trip. I have n't purchased snow gloves in 8- 10 years, and these were great. Love that these come with a fleece shell glove, and have the draw string around the wrist. Gore- tex is an added bonus.

I needed warm winter gloves for walking my dog and I 've tried many that just were n't good for the extremely cold days. I was deciding between these and North Face, but decided to go with these because they came with liner gloves. I do n't actually use the liners because I like to pull my fingers out of the gloves and ball my hands up when my fingers get cold( on the super cold days). I have stopped searching for any more gloves because I do really like these.

I was looking for a pair of snow gloves for my 4 year old son, one of the employees went into the back of the store and pulled these gloves out for me. Awesome job!

The gloves have been perfect. They are warm and they have n't gotten super wet out in the snow. Kids have n't complained at all about their hands or fingers this winter.
