5 SteveinOttawa
These are fantastic! I 'm normally a gloves guy but I bought these for very cold conditions and they did not disappoint. The fit is excellent. They kept my hands warm for two hours on a snowmobile at- 18C( without grip heaters). I like the snug cuffs, they fit under my coat sleeve and keep the snow out. Time will tell but they seem durable and well constructed.

5 Anthony G
I 've been using these gloves 2- 3 times weekly for around 4 months now. They 're starting to show some wear on the palms, but I believe that's on me for not treating the leather first. These gloves have keep my hands warm in temps as low as- 25° with the wind chill added. Still very efficient even when my hands got sweaty in them.

5 Richard B
Super high quality materials and construction. The majority of the mit is a really nice quality leather with great feel. Elastic cuff is fairly snug pulling them on but gives nice closure and feel once on.

5 Lucas D
As a ski instructor these mittens did the job perfectly. Worn in temperatures ranging from- 15°F to 40°F with no issues. The leather feels premium and the overall look of the gloves is great.

[ These gloves are warm, durable, and windproof, making them perfect for cold ski days. The CZone insert keeps hands dry and comfortable, while the grippy palm provides excellent grip for holding poles. The three- finger design is a great balance between warmth and dexterity, keeping fingers toasty even on windy chairlift rides. With a long cuff and snow lock, they seal out the elements, and the reinforced fingertips add durability where it matters most. A solid choice for skiers and snowboarders who want warmth without losing control.

5 CO_Native
I bought these mittens for a snowshoeing trip that ended up being very windy and very cold. Despite the less than ideal conditions, my hands stayed toasty warm the entire trip. These mittens are very lightweight, but kept the wind out very well. There were even a few times along the trail were I had to take them off for a few seconds because my hands we too hot! They also seem to be sufficiently waterproof as I had no issues with water getting in or soggy mittens. The leather palms are also decently grippy which was a pleasant surprise. My only minor complaints are less than ideal dexterity( though that is to be expected with mittens) and there is n't a clip included to keep the mittens together when not in use. Overall these are wonderfully warm mittens and well worth the price!

5 C in Chi
[ Wore the gloves for two hours while sledding with my kids in 26 degree weather. My hands stayed extremely warm the whole time. I ’ ve gone through 6 pairs of gloves the last two years and everything let my hands freezing after a short time.

5 ericas
[ I finally broke down to buy proper winter mittens and chose these as I love my Hestra ski gloves. They are soft and warm, keeping my fingers relatively comfortable in 5 degree Wisconsin weather. They are a bit bulky, but I can still shove them in the pockets of my heavy winter jacket. They work well for sledding, walking around, etc. I would prefer a slightly longer, larger wrist so they can go up over the jacket to keep snow from getting in. But otherwise I am very pleased. They are certainly better than anything I have owned thus far( save for my Hestra ski gloves) for serious winter outdoor time.

5 Steve
[ I wore the mitts to the Lincoln Park Zoo Christmas Light showing. The temp was in the teens, but my hands stayed warm. What more do you need.

5 MPOSH
[ These gloves are amazing. They keep your hands warm for the coldest of days during the Chicago winters. Highly recommend and worth the cost.

Frequently Asked Questions For women's ski mittens

When choosing women's ski mittens, consider features such as insulation for warmth, waterproof materials to keep your hands dry, and a comfortable fit. Look for mittens with adjustable cuffs to prevent snow from entering and those with grip-enhancing palms for better handling of ski poles. Additionally, consider breathability to help manage moisture during active use.

Women's ski mittens typically offer more warmth than ski gloves due to their design, which allows for better insulation by keeping fingers together. While gloves provide more dexterity and individual finger movement, mittens are often preferred in extremely cold conditions. The choice between mittens and gloves depends on personal preference and the specific weather conditions you expect while skiing.

Women's ski mittens are often made from a combination of waterproof and breathable fabrics, such as nylon or Gore-Tex, to keep hands dry. Insulation materials like down or synthetic fibers are used for warmth. Additionally, some mittens feature leather or reinforced palms for added durability and grip.

Yes, there are various styles of women's ski mittens designed for different weather conditions. Insulated mittens are ideal for extremely cold temperatures, while lighter options may be suitable for milder weather. Some mittens also come with features like removable liners for versatility, allowing you to adjust to changing conditions on the slopes.

To ensure a proper fit for women's ski mittens, measure your hand size and refer to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer. It's important that the mittens fit snugly but not too tight, allowing for some movement without excess bulk. Trying on mittens with the base layers you plan to wear can also help ensure comfort and functionality.

Mittens provide several benefits over gloves for skiing, primarily in terms of warmth. The design of mittens allows for better heat retention as fingers are kept together, which is especially beneficial in cold weather. Additionally, mittens can offer a more comfortable fit for those who prioritize warmth over dexterity, making them a popular choice for many skiers.
