I searched for the perfect everyday hat for what felt like for- ev- er. When I came across the Luna hat in Brindle in a store some years ago, I knew I had finally found my unicorn. I 've had this hat for about 5 years now, and it's my go- to for when my face will need sun protection but I still want to look cute... farmers market, outdoor events, travelling, etc. The medium brown color goes with everything, the leather band gives it a polished look, the shape has just enough structure but still feels casual. I live in a hot climate( Central Texas) so a cool and breathable hat is essential. With our weather, this hat gets 3 seasons of use. Do n't be deterred by the `` paper '' content... the braid feels very soft and it's also durable. In all these years, I 've only gotten one small pull in the weave but the pattern is so forgiving it blends in. I get so many compliments on this hat... it's my favorite.

I love to wear this hat around town or when we ’ re out on sunny days. It ’s very comfortable, and the brim holds its shape well. I don ’ t use it when I ’ m out gardening or mowing the lawn because I prefer my other Sunday afternoon sun hat that I can throw in the washing machine if it get dirty. That ’s not to say that I couldn ’ t use this for light yardwork. It would be great with the sun protection, I just prefer to not get mine dirty. My original Sunday afternoon son had served me well for 20+ years.
