[ I gave these shorts to my 7 year old son and he likes them. They are light weight and do n't have that mesh material on the inside that regular swim trucks usually have. They dry quickly. I also like that they can be worn as shorts or swim trunks. It makes it nice for days that he might be going swimming but also might not. They have a back pocket. There is a tie in the front but that does not tighten the shorts at all and looks more for looks. They waist is n't very elastic either.

Sleeves are good length but would n't have minded another inch. Thumb holes would have been nice. Might have a shirt on underneath or nothing under depending on temperature and wind. Love the hood fit with or without a hat. Zipped up the hood stays on well. Zippers work well.
