I haven ’ t been able to utilize yet in the winter but the elastic waist is much stronger than LL Bean ’s supplex shorts since they went to China for production, and at lesser cost.. [ I got these in size M with the 6 inch inseam and they fit perfectly, i am 5 ’ 11 and 180lbs. Originally ordered size L with 8 inch inseam and those were baggy on me. Very comfortable and i love the back zipper pocket. Only thing i didnt like was the netting on the inside which i just cut out with some scissors, now they are just like regular boardies. Love these, fit great, wish the inseam was a bit longer like 7 ”- 8 ” for when i ’ m at the gym, but it ’s great for when i ’ m using them in the water. Feel like 7. 5 ” would be optimal, especially since there is also a 5. 5 ” version for the lovers of super short shorts. I have like 15 pairs. Yikes, addicted. 6 ’ 170lbs wear a medium.
