[ I was looking for a set for snowmobiling, and these pants definitely did the job. I love that they are adjustable at the waist so when I was on the sled, I did n't have to worry about them moving around. I only wore leggings underneath and was plenty warm on single digit Fahrenheit days going 30 mph+. My only small issue was that they were a little short, but my legs are super long so I would 've needed a 34 '' inseam for them to go all the way down to the ground. I have a hard time finding pants long enough for my 33 '' inseam, but these pants are perfect! I 'm 5' 8 '', 140 pounds, with a slim build and the medium fits perfectly. I usually wear long johns or long johns plus another pair of warm pants under these and there is plenty of room. Everything seems to be about the same as my older version except this one has side pockets for my hands and I love that! I mostly wear them for hiking in the rain. These trousers were the reason for me to fall in love with the Fjällräven brand. I 've used them extensively while camping, tenting, hiking and- yes- winter mountaineering. I absolutely love the design, materials and functionality. Those were my first pair of hiking pants with pre- bent knees and I felt the difference in comfort and freedom of movement. In hot summer days, they might feel a bit heavy, so the ventilations are essential to keep you cool. I can appreciate the front pockets as well, as they have enough depth and are easy to reach on the go. My pair is ageing quite well and has no issues with the durability even after extensive use and washing cycles- the color on the G- 1000 does start to fade a bit, but it looks even cooler that way. Overall these are one of my favorite trousers. For the winter mountain, they are a bit baggy and may get in the way of your crampons, so I switched to a pair of Bergtagen Stretch for that. Still, they can do the job and will not let you down. For all other seasons, they are unbeatable.

These pants are awesome. Great baggier fit for people with larger muscular legs. I ’ m 6 ’ 2 or 188cm and I got a L regular. Slightly long but nothing a belt can ’ t help. I took them on a mountaineering adventure snowshoeing through knee to waist deep snow without getting even a drop wet. Incredible breathability, stretch, and comfort. I love the color too! They even ripped because I snagged them with a crampon and still didn ’ t let any water through!

One of the best mountaineering pants you can get- durable, breathable, and yet still warm at any altitude. These are my go- to pants for many PNW mountain treks( Mt Adams, Middle Sister, Mt. Hood, etc). The fit is fairly true- to- size, but I would have expected a bit more stretch in the waist. I 'm usually a 32 in most clothing, and M's feel a bit tight. There's plenty of stretch in the legs which makes for easily climbing, but the waist can definitely be a bit annoying. It's not enough to take away from how great these are, but something to consider if you 're on the border of sizes.

First putting on the elastic around the ankles may deter yo but once on you ’ ll really appreciate the elastic ankle. Really satisfied with the comfort and flexibility and security of the pant. I really like these trousers. I wanted a pair of hiking trousers that looked a little more stylish and can be worn in a multitude of scenarios. I have them in green, a pleasing military shade, and like the fact they are all a single block of colour unlike many two- tone hiking trousers( which I personally find a little uncool). Material is flexible facilitating easy and fluid movement and is durable but not heavy. The cut is straight, not baggy, a little more slim than most walking trousers. The elasticated hem is practical and aids with the slimmer line of the trouser. The 3 pockets are all zipped which is practical. The yellow logo on the back is cool. I would recommend and may also buy in the blue colour too.

My black ones fit the best( nicely snug), but my tan pair fits looser. This difference is n't enough for me to buy more, lol, but I wish the sizes were more uniform.

Straight forward wind breaker pants with some added insulation. Packs a lot of warmth for not being baggy and hugs tighter to the leg without being constricting or feeling like running tights, this allows you to layer thermals underneath it for the really cold runs. I found it perfect for winter and spring runs and will buy some again if I ever wear these ones out.

They 're flexible and keep my legs protected from scrapes. They also keep my legs warm outside while I walk to the climbing gym in the winter. Great improvements from last year. I liked the trail sender shorts from last year and these improve on the previous version in several ways. First, the best thing about the previous version is the ultra lightweight ripstop fabric and how well it performs in hot weather- the only comparable pants I ’ ve found in weight are the Patagonia Terrebonne joggers, and these are somehow feel even cooler in hot( 90+ F) humid weather. The new 2024 version feels like it has the same fit, but improves on some annoyances from last year: 1. The waistband is slightly elastic, which is more comfortable from previous near 0 stretch 2. The pockets are deeper and the zip pocket has been moved from the front thigh to the side hip. This is a big improvement where your phone no longer barely fits in the pocket or runs up against your hipbone when sitting 3. The construction feels higher quality and more premium. Too early to tell on how durability will compare but definitely feels like it ’ ll perform better Very happy with all the changes made!

I 've been looking for a lighter version of hike and cross- country ski pants and these fit the bill perfectly! I practically 'live' in these pants as they are really comfortable!
