I 've owned many pairs of the original Stretch Zion shorts and now have moved to the new version. The new Stretch Zion II is has a few changes, but in my opinion, they are still a great pair of shorts. The minor changes like the plastic button and the new fabric still work fine and did n't bother me. Going to the plastic button from the metal one only took a few times of wearing them to get easier to button. The new fabric is still super soft and comfortable but has a sort of shine to it when the light hits them just right. Not a big deal for me. The things that make these my favorite shorts are the comfortable fabric, the adjustable waist band, the color options, and the different pockets. They are also very versatile, I can wear them for activities like hiking and also to a nice restaurant. I own multiple pairs because I wear them all summer.

I 've had these for over a month now and> 10 workouts. They fit great, size M for an athletic- but- not- huge guy, 6' 2 '' 200# with a waistline that varies 31- 33 ''. Quick drying, great for runs and everything else I 've done in them. They 'll be right at home for daily wear when the weather warms up. If durability maintains, these are a 10/10 for me. Quality feels just a bit better than comparable Patagonia shorts.

After wearing these shorts for a short period of time, they quickly became my husbands number 1 pair of shorts. When asked what he likes most about them he pointed out that they are incredibly stretchy and flexible but have a nice sturdy feel to them. He prefers a trimmer fit to his shorts with longer inseams and these were perfect! They also have cargo short style storage while still looking much cleaner and sleeker. He does wish there was a second pocket on the rear.

Wear these shorts all summer long and never be disappointed. Stretch material is so comfortable you barely notice these are even on. I roll these up and bring them in pack every trip, they 're great for when I get to camp and start to chill, they work as swim shorts and dry quick, they work if it's really a hot day and the trail is n't too rugged. Only thing is the pockets can be uncomfortable if they 're loaded up too much. I rarely use them.

I travel quit a bit and wanted a pair of shorts that I could work out in, trail run, swim in, etc. Also wanted something that would dry quickly. These are great for that. I generally wear a shorter inseam specifically or trail running, but this inseam was a more modest and `` everyday comfortable '' approach. Got the shorts with the AirShell Hoody and together they 're a great combo. Would recommend as a all purpose trail short.

Excellent fit and cut. Maybe run a little tight in the waist and hips, slim through the leg. The new AP Active fabric is amazing. Its super soft, breathable, has great stretch. I am giving 4* because the front hip pockets are awkwardly short. I have a normal sized mobile phone and it wo n't fit in those pockets( or the rear pockets) vertically. Also, I wonder about the durability of the fabric long term. That being said, I am going to get another pair. I 'd buy even more if these were a tad heavier and with 5 pocket styling.

They 're great for someone looking for a stylish swim trunk above the knee with all day wear. Two hand pockets, a back zipping pocket( v. necessary), and a side utility pocket hit all function points. Plus the drawstring is killer, never comes untied. Surprisingly quick to dry, mesh liner does take a bit longer. But i pull the pockets out and it's worth it for having the storage and not letting the hotdog roll off the grill, while still making my buns look good. Buy one if you like my grill joke. Buy two if you swim everyday. Buy three if you do the backstroke. Buy four if you just like to have too many of anything. If you 're buying five, I want commission.

They 're very comfortable, light, and durable, and most importantly for me, come in a 12 '' length. I 'm 6' 4 '', so my only suggestion for improvement would be to add a 14 '' option. The pockets are good- sized; the zippered thigh pocket is great for keeping keys in during water activities. The Charcoal color looks great with nearly any shirt.

I bought two pair( khaki and gray) in 2013 and wore them almost daily for three years... hiking, rock climbing, road trips, and every- day activities. When they FINALLY started showing wear( seriously, they wear like iron!), I ordered four more( gray, black, khaki and olive). When I recently ripped one pair — my fault, not the shorts — there was no question, I just immediately bought a replacement. And when I saw that camo was now an option, I ordered that, too.
