I absolutely love this jacket! It ’s true to size and fits appropriately snug but not tight. It has two zippers along the teeth, which is super helpful if you ’ re crouching down or generally stretching the jacket in some fashion,( you can move that bottom zipper up to open the jacket a bit, so it ’s not as taut at the bottom). The hood and fur are removable but I haven ’ t taken either off. The jacket is quite warm and comfy, even without the heat on! I highly recommend. It ’s fashionable yet way more beneficial than your average jacket. Plus, you can turn the light off if you don ’ t want people to know you ’ ve got the heat on. I love it so much, I ’ m considering buying it in green too!

I love this coat! It's really effective for legitimately cold days. The only problem I have is that the hood is very large and heavy, so when I have it on, it covers my eyes. I 'm still giving it 5 stars because it heats up quickly and keeps me toasty.

I am a small or medium in all my other coats, jackets and tops. This parka in olive is exactly like the pictures in my opinion. It is heavy, good quality and beautiful. I ordered a size medium based upon the size chart and it is VERY fitted in the hips. I am an athletic build- 150lbs with lots of muscle, however I have wider hips than my waist( hourglass) for sure and this REALLY hugs my hips. Fits well in the upper body. Quite possibly large would have worked better, especially since the battery sits on the hips( tightest portion for me). The jacket is beautiful and works well, however the sizing seems to run at least 1- 1. 5 sizes smaller than average. Can not wear bulky layers with this size for sure. Would love at least an exchange option for size issues on open box items.

I was fortunate enough to be able to grab this when it was half price and I 'm so glad I did! The color is exactly as shown. The inside has a beautifully soft fleece layer. I also like that it has a loop near the tag inside for easier hanging. I often wear a size large in most women's clothing, but this was described as being a little bit of a loser fit and I would definitely agree with that. And I feel like it fits well while even having a little roof to spare, which is great for when I want to wear layers. I also like that it's a little bit longer in the back, so if you 're wearing leggings and would like to cover up a little bit more, this offers a little more coverage. Coverage. There are two good size pockets in the direct front on either side of the jacket and it has a zipper closure. I would definitely recommend this to others and would recommend going a size down from your normal size.

Well this jacket has been a lifesaver, got me through- 20F weather with no problem, it blocks the wind and moisture. The pockets at mid level, that are fleece lined, are a blessing. [ I bought this coat in boysenberry after Chicago got hit with lots of snow and below zero temperatures. As I was out shoveling, I discovered the designer winter coat I bought from a big department store was NOT waterproof. Unfortunately, I weigh 274, so finding a coat is n't easy. After researching, I decided to try this one even though it is over$ 300. It fits great( it is n't loose, but it is comfortable and I can sit with it zipped)! It also is not puffy, so there is no added bulk. The sleeves are nice in that they are not too short and I can tighten them at the wrist with the Velcro. I also love the chest pocket-- I put my phone in there and can listen to a podcast as I walk my dog. Well worth the money!

Great jacket, not thick and bulky but sturdy, ca n't wait to break it in. I 'm 5' 7 '' 130 lbs and ordered a small, was n't sure how it would fit since I would normally go for a medium in jackets, but saw this was loose fit and have heard Carhartt run large. The sleeves of the small were good but I was absolutely drowning in the rest of it so got an extra small, and it was a much better fit! When I tried it on with a sweatshirt underneath, the sleeves of the extra small were a touch tight when bending my elbows, but I think it will break in just fine. Great jacket, hope this can help folks with sizing. Did n't have any trouble with the zipper the way other people have described, it's a big metal double zipper and takes a little effort but nothing crazy.

[ I could n't wait to wear this jacket once the weather got cooler in Texas. The weather can be bipolar very often, so if it's 35 degrees outside at the beginning of the day and hot later, I like the fact that I can carry a lightweight jacket around and stuff it in my backpack when I 'm not wearing it. Unlike some puff jackets, they can be very heavy and bulky. The jacket is ideal for 35+ degree weather or a little under if you layer well underneath. Also, keep in mind my 35- degree weather may feel warmer to others who live in areas that get lots of snow and wind. I have n't had the chance to wash it, but the material seems like it will hold up well in a normal wash cycle. I think I may have needed to go to a smaller size, I had plenty of space in the jacket zipped.

For reference I am W; 5'11, 145lbs, and purchased in size Medium. I live in Ottawa, ON, Canada, and it gets down below- 20C routinely. I have had this jacket for a year now and could not be happier. As someone tall and with long arms, this jacket is a dream! Every time I slip it on I feel like it was made for me, the fit is that perfect. The adjustable drawstring at the waist and knees ensures that no wind is going up your back, but i still have room to layer a sweater underneath. This parka is also super toasty and does a good job of being wind resistant. The hood is also one of the best I have ever had. It offers the same insulation as the rest of the jacket, and when you tighten the drawstring it's then shaped perfectly to your head. No matter how windy or stormy the hood stays in place. As someone who used to dread winter because I was always cold/uncomfortable, upgrading to a quality parka that actually reaches all the way to my knees has been such a game changer. I guess it's true what they say, there's no such thing as bad weather, just bad outfits. I would purchase this product again and again. Please never change the fit or the quality!

I bought this coat when I moved to one of the coldest cities in the US( Duluth). To those who think this coat is not warm enough… that is utter nonsense. If it is above 20F(- 5C) I literally sweat in this coat, even just wearing a t shirt underneath. I have worn it to walk my dogs for over an hour in- 40F windchill and still felt warm. I would say if you don ’ t live somewhere very very cold, this coat may too warm for you. As a native Chicagoan, I ’ ve endured some frigid temperatures( as cold as- 20F/- 28C with the windchill) and this parka is my secret weapon. It ’s roomy enough to fit multiple thick layers underneath and super comfortable. The hood helps shield your face from heavy winds and doesn ’ t easily collapse. The red color is eye- catching, and it's incredibly comfortable and flexible, not stiff or heavy even in the coldest temperatures. I 'm 5' 2 100lbs and usually wear an XS and this jacket fits me well with extra room for layering. I love the Turtle Dove color as it is a creamy/vanilla shade that pairs well with any snow pant color. Amazing features- snow skirt, thumb cut outs, water proof and wind proof, zippers up to my chin, well insulated, and, multiple pockets. This jacket is one of the best quality ski jackets on the market now. I would say it's comparable to Helly Hansen's Alphelia jacket in terms of fit and features but for a lower price point. It even has a similar fit to the Arc'teryx jackets if you cinch the waistline in and tuck it. You can get away with wearing no layers underneath this jacket in 30F weather. I 've already gotten many compliments and will be wearing this to back to back ski trips in Vermont and Colorado! I agree with other reviews that a snow helmet can not fit underneath the hood, but that is NOT a con for me as wearing a hood while skiing usually obstructs my view anyway.

Well worth the money purchasing but luckily I got mine on sale just before the temperatures dropped and bad weather in eastern Canada. Most times I do not layer but on super cold days I do have a layer beneath and so warm. Extremely breathable. I bought a small and I had room for layering, enjoy the 6 good size pockets, length, quality/workmanship and the warranty. I ’ ve not used in rain days yet but i am sure it will work just fine.

[ Got a medium and its still pretty large- im usually a size 8- 10 and am 5 ’ 2 ”, so knew it would be a little long. it is quite roomy but not so big that i needed to return it. Id try sizing down even more but its not worth the effort. I do love how light it is.

[ This is the coziest and softest sweater! Great quality and it just looks so good! I 'm very happy with this purchase. I actually had bought it to go with the crush pants in Port, and super glad that I did! This is my first sweater purchase from Icebreaker, but definitely will not be my last! I no longer buy plastic clothes! Maybe the occasional recycled items, if necessary, but definitely natural fibers is what we should all be wearing.

[ I am not a small woman but bought this sweater in a small because it's quite boxy. The color is amazing and the weight is heavier than my usual San Francisco- weight layers, but not too heavy to need to be saved for ski vacations.

[ I waited for the price to come down on this, and my patience was rewarded. This is my second Waypoint Crew purchase. They are exceedingly soft and warm. I think they 're so soft that they do n't feel like wool, but I also love that they are 100% merino, and is one of the main reasons I purchased. This one looks really smart too, with the dark colored contrasting cuffs and collar. Love it.

[ All of my wife ’s coats were heavy, dressy- looking coats that weighed a ton. Because of her handicap, and difficulty walking, the heavy coats were a nuisance. I got her this Expedition Hoodie, and she has absolutely fallen in love with it. She was shocked at how something so light, could keep you so warm. Sometimes, when unable to walk, we need to use a transport chair. Sitting in that chair on a cold, windy day, unable to generate heat from walking, this jacket makes all the difference.

I wore this coat nearly every day over the past winter. I live in the Rockies near Aspen, and it kept me protected from the wind and very warm even on frequent, negative- temp days. The hood is large and fits easily over a beanie without my having to shrug my shoulders to keep it on. Bottom hem hits below my knees( I 'm 5' 5 ''), and zips up easily over my big booty and thighs! Quality zipper. Sleeves are a good length. Large pockets that can fit my hands, phone, whatever else; there's an inside chest pocket as well. The material is soft and matte black, no shine and no crinkly noise when I move. Due to the nice texture of the material, though, there is consistently dog hair clinging to it, lol. A crappy lint roller can get that job done just fine. Dust brushes off easily, so I rarely need to spot clean. Highly, highly recommend.

Bought the parka for my wife and she was thrilled! She is hard to please, but this did the trick. The parka is long enough to cover her hips( she has SI joint pain, so keeping them warm is critical) and was super comfy. The parka was perfect for taking the dogs out for their walk in the winter. It may be a bit much for more strenuous activities given the volume.

I have been waiting for a hooded version of a packable puffer that was still cute, and after enjoying other Halfdays products for skiing, I was excited when I saw this in their spring collection this year. This jacket arrived several weeks ago and has been great for everything I 've thrown at it! It has kept me warm, dry, and cute on rainy commutes to work, mulching my garden, and taking my dog on a field trip to our local forest preserves. It has been comfortable in temps as low as 35 and as high as 65 or so for me, personally. I love how lightweight it is, and that is compacts down if it warms up during the day and I need to pack it away for my commute home. It is also roomy enough for layering underneath, and I enjoy the big pocket for storage in the back. 10/10 would recommend.
