White Mountains 21°F with 5- 10mph winds these gloves worked well as long as you keep active. My fingers were cool but not freezing cold( without liner gloves). My hands did not sweat like in normal gloves. People expecting toasty warm fingers might want to pair these gloves with a thin liner glove. These gloves are thicker than a liner glove but thin and light enough to fit in your jacket pocket. Sizing is perfect. In most gloves a Med is tight but fits perfectly and a Large leaves extra room in the finger tips. These gloves in Med fit almost perfect and leave room for a light weight liner glove.

I have a pair of these in the 3 finger claw type, they are my colder weather ski gloves. I got these for my teen kid since we go ski in colder temps( under 20F). These are nice and toasty and keep kid's hands warmer than the Scott gloves which are great for above 25F. I was able to get for the same price as Amazon so picking up at Dick's House of Sport was easy and we got to use them the next day. My pair of Hestras are going strong 5+ years later and still fine. At$ 110 the features Hestra should provide but does n't on these gloves were wrist tethers and a clip to keep the pair together( provided on their more expensive gloves) I added both myself which is easy to do. Even though they are expensive I think they will last years and years. Make sure to put the leather conditioner on the leather sections to keep them in good shape( it is sold separately).

I love these gloves, they are so warm! I use them on their own hiking while splitboarding and as a liner for really cold days in the resort. The Small size fit my small hands very well... I have borderline kid size hands and they still fit me pretty well. I was able to use my phone with the gloves on my hands. Highly recommended if you want warm hands!

I was expecting those gloves to be good, but they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The first time I wore them, I was outside for six hours in steady rain and near- freezing temperatures. My hands were the driest part of me. Not that these are waterproof- they aren't- but the grid fleece on the backs of the hands wicks and breathes so well that my body heat dried the gloves faster than they could get wet. My hands stayed warm and dry, and the fingers were still dextrous enough that I could work outside. Love these and will be buying more, plus anything else made of Vigor Plus fleece that I can get my hands on. Big improvement in fit over the previous year's model as well.

Took these on trail and they kept my fingers warm in a cold rain. I like the fit, the feel, but glad it did not rain the next day because they did not dry fast at all. Did not expect waterproof of course, but was hoping they would be useful again without a dryer. Taking something else for days long hiking next time, but these are still nice, keeping for different scenarios, hikes closer to home.

I am a mail carrier and I recently purchased these to wear while working. They really work well, I can use them on low and they keep my hands plenty warm.( keep in mind I am walking while wearing them so I am generating some heat, I do n't know how well they would work if you were sitting) Since these are thicker, sorting the mail takes a bit to get used to but it's worth it. The battery does not last all day so I did purchase the extra battery pack. Only cons are that the sizing was not right for me. My hand measures 7. 5 '' so I ordered the large but they are too big. I ended up getting them in medium and they are much better. Also, the button to turn them on and change the temp is easy to use but if you need to shut them off, you have to unplug the battery to get them to turn back on again. It's not convenient having to take the gloves off but it is minor since they actually keep my hands warm!

I bought these for my husband by mistake. I thought these were the glove liners, but they are a different glove. he likes these anyway. Very warm and he says the palms have some grippy material on it for his steering wheel does n't slip out of his hands. the length is very long and fits over his snow jacket and tightens down. I think he's going to buy the women's for me for Mothers Day.

As the name suggests, they are not very thick. So if you are looking for a heavy- duty snow glove, this is not the right option for you. But if you are looking for a thinner glove that gives you greater dexterity, look no further

I have used these for several storms while shoveling and snowblowing snow. They have a great shell that is definitely waterproof therefore keeping my fingers dry and warm. They are quite pricey but needed for this part of the country.

Keeps the hands perfectly warm... would definitely recommend. The only part that i think is unnecessary is the thin elastic at the end of the gloves which apparently is there to tighten the end. Does n't function much.

Nikia
I think these are great gloves… I had tried my daughters pair that had the different grip than these ones and really liked them so ordered these ones so they wouldn ’ t be entirely the same. These ones have dots on the palms instead. I consider myself to have bigger sized hands so sized up to a large. I definitely should ’ ve gotten the med! The fingers are too long for me and look funny to me. So I ’ m definitely just going to exchange for the med! They ’ re very frilly and work great on my iPhone. Just be careful with sizing! The med feel sung but not too tight. I had to pull them over my hands which is why I sized up thinking they ’ d just be slightly bigger. Overall I recommend these gloves!

When selecting winter walking gloves, consider features that enhance warmth, comfort, and grip. Look for materials that provide insulation and are water-resistant to keep your hands dry and warm in cold conditions. Additionally, gloves with a textured palm can improve grip, making it easier to hold onto items while walking. Touchscreen compatibility is also a useful feature, allowing you to use your devices without removing the gloves.
To choose the right size for winter walking gloves, start by measuring the circumference of your hand just below the knuckles, excluding the thumb. Use this measurement to refer to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer, as sizes can vary between brands. Additionally, consider the fit you prefer; some may opt for a snug fit for better dexterity, while others might prefer a looser fit for added comfort and layering. Trying on gloves, if possible, can also help ensure a proper fit.
Winter walking gloves are often made from a variety of materials designed to provide warmth and comfort. Common materials include fleece, which offers insulation and softness, and waterproof fabrics that help keep hands dry in wet conditions. Insulated linings, such as synthetic fills or down, are frequently used to enhance warmth without adding bulk. Additionally, some gloves incorporate breathable materials to help regulate temperature and moisture.
Yes, certain styles of winter walking gloves are designed to provide enhanced warmth and protection in extreme cold conditions. Look for gloves that feature insulated materials, waterproofing, and windproof capabilities to help keep your hands warm and dry. Additionally, gloves with a snug fit and adjustable cuffs can help trap heat and prevent cold air from entering. Many gloves also incorporate touchscreen compatibility, allowing you to use devices without removing them.
Winter walking gloves are specifically designed to provide enhanced warmth and protection against cold weather conditions compared to regular gloves. They often feature insulating materials and water-resistant or waterproof fabrics to keep hands warm and dry during outdoor activities. Additionally, winter walking gloves may include design elements such as adjustable cuffs and touchscreen compatibility, making them more functional for active use in winter environments. Regular gloves, on the other hand, may prioritize style or lighter weight, lacking the specialized features needed for colder temperatures.
When selecting winter walking gloves, consider insulation materials that provide warmth while allowing for flexibility and breathability. Common options include synthetic insulation, which offers excellent warmth-to-weight ratios and dries quickly, and fleece, known for its softness and comfort. Some gloves also feature down insulation, which is lightweight and compressible, making it ideal for colder conditions. Look for gloves that combine these materials with weather-resistant outer layers to enhance overall performance in winter conditions.
Yes, winter walking gloves are versatile and can be used for various outdoor activities beyond walking. They are designed to provide warmth and dexterity, making them suitable for activities like hiking, skiing, or snowshoeing. Many styles also offer features such as water resistance and grip, enhancing their functionality for different environments. Whether you're running errands in cold weather or enjoying outdoor sports, these gloves can help keep your hands comfortable.
To ensure your winter walking gloves are waterproof or water-resistant, look for gloves made with specialized materials designed to repel moisture. Features such as sealed seams and waterproof membranes can enhance protection against wet conditions. Additionally, consider gloves with a water-resistant coating or treatment that helps keep your hands dry during light rain or snow. Always check the product specifications for details on the level of water resistance offered.
When selecting winter walking gloves, consider materials that provide a good balance between warmth and flexibility. Look for gloves with textured palms or grip-enhancing features to ensure a secure hold on walking aids or other items. Additionally, gloves with a snug fit can enhance dexterity, allowing for easier movement of fingers while still keeping hands warm. It's also beneficial to choose styles that allow for easy on and off, as well as those that offer touchscreen compatibility for convenience.
To maintain winter walking gloves, it is important to follow the care instructions specific to the materials used. Generally, you should avoid machine washing and instead opt for hand washing with mild soap and cold water. Air drying is recommended to preserve the shape and insulation of the gloves. Additionally, storing them in a cool, dry place can help prevent damage and prolong their lifespan.
