I have n't gotten to wear these out yet, but from trying them I think they 're going to be great for the summer! I work outside, and finding comfortable shorts that are n't too short is definitely tricky. I would suggest sizing down, based on the size chart I needed a 2X, but I tried on the XL in store and they have PLENTY of room. My grandson loves these pants. He wants to wear them every day. My only complaint is the snap button. The first pair it broke off, but Carhart replaced them, no problem. The snap is very difficult to open and close, so it can be hard for a child to do. It was hard for me to unfasten. It's great that there is a waist adjustment inside. It will allow a child to wear them for a long time.

These pants are amazing quality, I 'd say they are like thick material cargo pants but the best cargo pants I have ever owned. They are high waisted which is great and I find them super comfy. After reading the reviews I ordered a size medium as reviews stated they were small sizing but I had to exchange for small as I found them too big, I am a size 8/10 but with curves and I found a small is perfect.

I bought my first Merino wool in New Zealand and never regretted paying the big bucks. The 4 star rating is because of fit. The Small size is very baggy. I am thin, 120# 5' 7 '' and I feel even an XS might be that way. I will still enjoy them because they are warm. I was just hoping for more of a yoga pant slimmer fit for potential evening wear.
