Great For A Home Gym Set-up.

I bought these about two-three weeks ago and they have been great for my home gym set-up. I am able to select multiple weights and the small increment changes make it possible to progress without overburdening myself. I find it fairly easy to switch weight options between different exercises. They take up minimal space without feeling like they add clutter.

Would rather give 0 stars. I have used a set for 15 years that has the metal pins and not stupid micro weights. Mine have 5 pound increments without stupid micro weights. Ordered new ones for may son and got the XPS elite 90's. Very disappointed. Makes drop sets and changing weights very cumbersome using the stupid micro weights. Should fire the genius engineer who thought this was an improvement. Plastic pins not likely to be durable.

Gets The Job Done

It’s great having adjustability and is easy to do, but when changing weights there are a couple tradeoffs. 1, you need to take a moment to line up the weight adjuster when changing weights. 2, getting to 5 lb increments (25, 35lbs etc) requires removing two internal 2.5lb weights…easy but an added step. Using the block style takes some getting used to but is totally doable. Having your hand in a cage makes you look like a comic character. Doing things like weighted crunches or goblet squats is more awkward than regular dumbbells, but they are very good for arm/chest related work.

Great Dumbbells!

These dumbbells are great. I have hex dumbbells that go up to 40 pounds. Needed heavier dumbbells, but they get expensive in higher weights. Got the PowerBlock and the Stage 2 kit, so that I can go up to 70 pounds. These PowerBlock dumbbells are very well made, and mostly all metal. Should last a lifetime, excellent build quailty.

Pin Broke Warranty Claim Denied

I purchased the PowerBlock Elite EXP Stage 1 Adjustable Dumbbells a little over three years ago. I am old and use these only when I can't go to physical therapy, so they are still like new. The selector pin broke. I didn't drop the dumbbell nor force the pin. I went to use them and upon pulling out the selector, a part of the pin remained in the dumbbell. The description states a 5 year warranty so I filled out a warranty claim on Powerblock's support site two days ago. Today I received an email with just a link to buy a replacement (i.e. warranty claim denied). I understand these are different from the Elite USA made model sold directly on Power Block's website. These sold by Dick's, and other third party sites, are made in China, and are not compatible with the expansion sets on Power Block's website, hence the lower price. Does the 5 year warranty apply only to the US made dumbbells?

Doesn’t Take Up Much Room!

Try to pick up in store if you can. Ours arrived damaged & we had to exchange them at our local store. These are great. We didn’t want to get a normal set, because they take up so much space.
