The threads on the lid also are somewhat difficult to align. Once filled and capped it works fine and keeps drinks relatively cool in the heat. Beats heck out of the jury rigged soft- bottle I ’ d been using. Ensures I stay better hydrated. Light as heck. Tip: Just ensure the hose, where it exits the cap, is routed in the plane of the reservoir and not at an angle.

I have had my Platypus Hoser for more than 15 years now and it still works great. It's the two liter version, very similar to this one. No complaints ever, easy to clean, light weight, and very durable. My version even has `` patent pending '' still on it. And a logo with a Platypus illustration, which I love! Thanks@ Platypus for all these years of joyful and well- hydrated hiking and biking thanks to the Hoser:)
