I ’ m a 4. 0 tournament player, and for me the Mayhem( 14mm) is the perfect blend of power and control, which is what I search for. The 16mm versions of all the new paddles are a tad soft for me. And the thinner versions available in some models just don ’ t have the touch that I require for my 3rds& resets. This is a great paddle!

[ I appreciate JOOLA generously gifting me this Pickle ball racket to play with. I love the lightweight( 8 oz) construction, the sleek design and it has the perfect grip size for me( see photo). I only wish the white handle tape was a darker color because white gets dirty so easily. As a beginner, I also appreciate the 16 mm thickness versus the other standard 14 mm thickness because the thicker 16 mm paddles provide more control and consistency on each shot. I tend to take big swings for power because I don ’ t have great muscle strength and this thicker paddle is a must have for me. I would definitely consider buying a second Joola paddle if I ever advance to become an intermediate pickle ball player. Another thing to mention is that the phone “ tap ” feature on the handle didn ’ t work when I wanted to register for the extended warranty and special offer, but maybe it was deactivated because these are “ gifted ” items.

I ’ ve been using the Radius for 13 months. 16mm thickness is ideal for the control I want, and I can get enough power when needed for my game. Light weight and low swing weight are good for tennis elbow- I believe. Produced great spin on my backhand, I believe surface is finally aging a bit, not quite as much spin after one year, but still decent. Great match for my style of game: short game, placement shots, and occasional power put away overheads.

I 'm a aging tennis player who, let's be honest, can only handle pickleball now. This paddle is excellent( in my opinion) for anyone who's coming from the tennis side of things and finds the airflow around the traditional pickleball paddle shape to be odd. In addition, the shape is better for those tennis players who are using to having some bulk on the edges. It's really all about shape and airflow and this paddle kills it in those regards. The sweetspot is n't as strong as the Hyperion or other Ben John's style paddles, for sure, but this is more comfortable for me. Bit pricey, but success ai n't cheap.

Handle width is awesome- no need for overwrap, and have had no need for lead. If I had a complaint the spin is mid- tier. Feels similar to the ALW when playing minus some spin but with a better grip. And the edge guard is shiny, but that might be personal preference.

I have been using the Evoke Premier Pro Raw Carbon Pickleball for rec play as well as tournament play. The paddles plays very nicely. It has a very large sweet spot and has the raw carbon face which allows you to add an enormous amount of spin to the ball. I 've only played with Joola paddles, starting with the Hyperion 2 last year, then Perseus 2 amidst all the Gen 3 churn. Just got the Perseus 4, and it's definite upgrade- a much better paddle than I am player! The balance is definitely different than the Perseus 2, much lower and feels better to me. It has more power for returns and drives, but just playing with it twice I rarely hit it long( which I was doing all the time with the Perseus 2, while I adjusted to it from the Hyperion). Volleys are great, and best of all it has really good feel on drops and dinks. Spin is good too- you can see in the photo that the spin does n't come from surface grit so much as a woven pattern on the surface, which hopefully will last a long time. Great paddle- recommended!

This paddle will force you to work on control because while it will do a lot for you as an all court paddle, it does pack a punch and you ’ ll need to know when to hold that back. You definitely want to play with One as a demo, if at all possible before making the purchasing decision. This is my first paddle with a 16MM core and Carbon Fiber face and my first impressions of this paddle are very positive. The stability is outstanding and the control and spin are excellent as well. I 'm very pleased with the performance and I really like the paddle shape, handle length, and grip. My only issue is with the white grip because it gets discolored from dirt and sweat. Overall I highly recommend this paddle.

Love this paddle. I 've tried many paddles for months at a time each( Vanguard Selkirks, Flight Ovation etc). With this paddle, there is no such thing as a miss- hit. It just does n't happen. This thing feels lux. Amazing sweet spot. The 16mm gives it perfect control and the core gives it power when you want it( pretty rare IMO to find a paddle that rides the line of doing both of these jobs really well instead of only one and the other suffering). The CF face makes the spin on this thing incredible. I use a lot of spin in my game and this is perfect for me. The only downside is the weight. Not just that it is heavy( 8. 5oz is a lot for a stock paddle), but that it is so top heavy specifically. Feels like all the weight is on the top ridge of the paddle. This also makes it so that I do n't want to add lead on the throat which is what I usually would do because I do n't want to increase the weight even more. I 'm used to a lighter paddle so this is obviously a preference thing, if you are used to heavier paddles than this will be a seamless transition. But man, it really takes some getting used to for hands- battles. I 'm going to keep it for now because the pros outweigh the only con. I put an overgrip on mine and it is perfect.

No paddle is going to make or break your game, but this one feels really good. The face grips the ball and it feels like it imparts more spin. It doesn ’ t feel as heavy as the actual weight. The initial over grip needs to be replaced within a couple of hours. As expressed in a previous review it becomes stained and mine started to slip. Since I planned to customize the grip anyway this doesn ’ t present a deal breaker.

But you can use a white touch up market. I expected the paddle to come in a box but shipped in an envelope and it had a rough trip. If shipped by envelopes a paddle cover would provide some protection.
