A great starter model for my seven year old with plenty of higher speed settings to work toward. Let the machine get up to speed before turning on the feeding mechanism and you will have no problems. I have been watching this Marucci pitching machine for a couple of weeks and searching everywhere for a review with no luck. Today I spoke with a very nice lady at my local DSG and asked about the return policy. I was afraid that like many other products, this would advertise 60 mph and actually do 25… she told me 90 days, just to make sure I saved all the packaging. I got it home tested it immediately with real baseballs and was my target at 46 feet consistently for the most part. I switched to dimple balls and grabbed the pocket radar and I was constantly hitting 54/55 mph at 46 ft on target. I was using a 9 hole target and 18/18 balls hit a pocket!

My son is an avid Catcher. We never had the Marucci brand Catcher ’s gear before, but my son anbso absolutely loves it! He LOVES the helmet. He says the helmet is super comfortable and easy to get on and off quickly. He is 13 years old 5 ’ 8 and 190lbs and this Adult Size fits him well. He feels well protected wearing this gear and that makes me( his mother) feel at ease. He ’s playing with 16 year olds that throw a mean fast ball and if for some reason the ball would get away from him I feel confident that he ’ d be protected. The gear has clasps that are easy to clip into place for a fast transition from batting back to catching. He catches the majority if not all of the game and the gear is comfortable and he can move fast in it. He is extremely happy with Marucci Catchers Gear. One last plus is that it looks nice too! It ’s sleek and the color combo is very nice. When this wears out I will for sure be getting catching equipment from Marucci again.
