[ I have an 11U going into 12U player. His size is squarely between the upper end of youth sizes, but below most adult small sizes. EvoShield catcher's equipment fit my kid and will allow for multiple seasons worth of use. So I spent the extra money for the SRZ Catcher's set for Christmas last year. The set was excellent, but within 8 months a defect in the design of the wire molding on the chest protector arose. Because I was within warranty, I reached out to EvoShield. It was an issue they had become aware of, and within a day, I had full credit to use on a new chest protector. The ease with which I was able to handle this warranty has lead me to keep with evoshield as a brand, which is huge because I love their gear. Our son has worn this product for baseball since he was 6 years old. We are on our third shirt because he keeps growing out of them. After looking at all the other brands we felt this was the best product because of the protective dome. Other shirts felt like they just put layers of padding in the shirt. This shirt has a sewn in insert that can withstand impact. If a line drive hits this dome the chest will not take the impact the dome will. I would recommend this product to anyone and we have recommended this product. Very pleased.

After the impact he was able to keep on playing through without a hitch. He also collided with a goalie who had his knee up. The collision hit him right underneath the chest or sternum. I think you need to market it more agressively to youth soccer which is quite physical at the elite level. My son is a striker and take a fair amount of punishment. Bought the set for her for Christmas and now her season is down the thing has taken a beating from her dropping to her knees sliding left to right hit in the face and she's fully protected and comfortable I should 've went with a bigger size just to her leg protectors wrapped more then just her knees but that my fault I wo n't put her in any other gear

Bought two years ago and very happy with the gear. Daughter was too big for the small and the medium chest protector and shin guards were perfect. The helmet was a large and was a little big but adjusted well, plus she hit that growth spurt at 12 1/2 which took up the slack. Jen Schro gear it tops in quality and protection. My wife said, make sure my daughter is protected so we did our research and asked around with coaches and catchers from the tourneys. We visited. Many rave about Jens gear. My daughter has taken several foul balls to the face and a bat tip to the side of the helmet, and it didn ’ t phase her. We pulled her and checked for confusion and nothing. The shin guards have extra padding for the knees and the chest protector seems to deaden the balls. Highly recommend.
