[ Purchased this jacket for my son for a trip to Zion this January. I was looking for a down jacket that could pack down without a hood( hoods just create more bulk to try and pack down). He has n't used the jacket yet but it fits him pretty well( Large) with room to add a sweater underneath.

[ I bought this for my Dad for Christmas and he really likes it! It ’s his first down coat and he couldn ’ t believe how much warmer he was out in the cold. The black isn ’ t too shiny and the length is perfect. The fit is a bit slimmer near the hips( he ’s about 5 ’ 9 ” and 150lbs), so a tad more shape would be good. Other than that, I ’ m very happy with the purchase!

LOVE this jacket! I 'm 6' 2 and bought XL for extra movement and layering when snowboarding. Pros: The synthetic fill is the best I 've ever felt, I honestly thought it was down fill. I love that it stays warm and holds its lofty puffiness when in wet snow conditions. My other Sitka down jacket loses its loft quickly in the arms and back when I start perspiring from a morning of hiking or snowboarding. But 's it 's so soft a cozy. I often just wear a t- shirt or thin base layer under it if I 'm just staring around a camp fire. It 's very warm and the hand and chin backings are super soft. Cons: My only complaint is that it does n't have a well placed hood draw string for windy conditions. The single draw string on the hood is more a retention string for side to side movement of your head. And the outer fabric is very delicate, I know its gon na snag and tear on a tree branch one of these days.... I personally wish it was a little bit thicker like on my wife 's Expedition down jacket.

[ When I received the Arctic Crest jacket I was at first a little concerned that it would n't be very warm because it was so lightweight. After wearing the jacket for a few weeks during winter in northern New England my worries were laid to rest. This jacket fits just right and is incredibly warm. I feel like the new Omni Heat Artic even works when its cloudy or getting dark. The hood on the Artic Crest has what may be the best fit of any jacket I have ever owned. I also like that this jacket can pack into it 's side pocket for easy minimal packing. Overall very impressed so far!!

I like the jacket for downhill( lift) skiing at Whistler/Blackcomb:- The hood covers the entire helmet and stays up. I like to ski with my hood up when it 's a bit cold.- The big, wide collar to zips up to cover most of my face even when wearing a thick face covering.- It has appropriate insulation. You need extra layers underneath when it 's cold but it should be quite wearable for spring skiing with just a shirt on underneath.- Pockets are where they should be and the right size. Some suggestions for improvement:- There is no place to attach a whistle which would be close to the mouth. The zipper pulls where I would normally attach a whistle are solid and not useful for that purpose. This is quite important when skiing a big mountain resort like Whistler/Blackcomb. There really needs to be a place to attach a whistle near the mouth. I may get a little loop sown in some place on the jacket.- The inside chest zipper pocket should be on the inside of the insulation rather than the outside. This would keep the phone and other electronics warmer.- It would be nice if the collar was just a bit higher, maybe by a centimeter or so. Not a big deal. Overall I am very happy with the jacket so far.

Very light weight. Packing compressed it a lot and it took a couple days for it to expand out. My first time wearing it was in 30 degrees and it kept me very warm. I am 5' 6 '' and a large was a good fit for me, especially for arm length. I am a little concerned about longevity because of how light weight it is, but time will tell on that. Material and stitching are top notch and the jacket is very comfortable to wear. I HATE the feeling of gortex and this has more of silky feel inside and out, which is perfect. For a general use winter jacket this is perfect.

[ I came across this jacket when searching for a synthetic alternative to my down jacket for backpacking. And while it 's maybe just a little too heavy and bulky for my ultralight goals, I bought it because I liked it so much in general( tried in on in a store, bought it on Mossejaw). And now I wear it anytime the weather 's a little chilly. It 's warm, a great fit-- not too tight, not too baggy-- and the material just feels great. I 've also had it out in light rain for half an hour or so, and nothing soaked in. So it really is at least a little water repellent. Only con is, I do n't like the double, left- handed zipper, but I 'll get used to it. And who knows, maybe I 'll end up bringing it on a backpacking trip, since I like it so much. Glad I bought it during the big sale!

I am not a skier but I wanted a jacket that would keep me warm and dry in very cold temperatures and winter precipitation. The day after I bought this I took a long walk along a country road wearing this jacket over a t- shirt with temperatures in the mid- 20s( F) that soon saw precipitation in the form of wind- driven light snow and sleet. I was amazed at the cozy, comfortable feel this jacket provided. I will never second- guess this purchase- love this jacket!

Good winter and low temp jacket. Its longer and a tad baggy/active since its made for riding, so take your normal size and layer underneath for really cold days. It 's super comfortable and will keep you warm and dry. Hood is definitely a little too Raph, it 's made for riding with a helmet on, so its too big for casual wear but I knew that would be the case for any snowboard jacket so it does n't bother me.

It ’s a warm jacket! If you layer it with a hoodie or thermal, could be worn in multiple environments and temperatures. The zipper and pockets are great. Lots of storage for items. I had it unzipped and open and in 50F degree weather, and layered up and hood on for 15F degrees. Very versatile and the material is great. It definitely is water proof. Had a rain storm pour on me while hiking and I stayed completely dry.

I have been looking for a good puffer jacket for my upcoming trip to Paris. I 've tried on several different brands and styles of jackets, and none of them came anywhere near close, compared to the Canyonlands Hybrid. The slim fit is absolutely perfect and very flattering, and I really like the features like zippered side pockets and the deep- well interior pockets that will hold my larger items, making it perfect for travel. Plus, my girlfreind tells me I look sexy when I 'm wearing it. Nothing wrong with that!

[ I Love this jacket, I got to wear it to a rodeo and when it got filthy I took the outer layer and put it in the back of the truck and wore the inner layer and stayed clean the rest of the day. It fits very well I sized down since it 's a men's jacket but it 's very comfortable and roomy without being baggy.

I have this jacket and the Primer jacket. This one fits just as well but is a bit heavier and I like it for those colder days. While I do n't use the `` glove sleeves '' I do like them as they do help keep the cold air out of the sleeves keeping me warmer. I love the style of this jacket too. The colors are great and it 's quite the good looking jacket. The breast pocket and the left sleeve pockets are great for holding stuff while skiing or other snow or cold weather activities. Pockets are nicely lined and warm.

This jacket has it all! Starting with storage, pockets on the inside and outside are nicely lined and can hold a fair amount of items. Next is comfort. This jacket is built to withstand harsh conditions but is very comfortable and insulates incredibly well! Zippers and fabric are high quality and seems like they will last a while. I highly recommend this product!

[ I 've been a fan of Showers Pass rain gear for a long time, and this jacket is just my most recent edition. Very thoughtfully designed with MTB in mind. The vents keep you cool when working hard. The detachable hood is a great option, once you figure out where to stash it so it does n't get lost. The sleeves cinch up just right so you can regulate air flow or totally lock it out. The reinforced shoulders are great for those long days out on the mountain. I 'd read in one review that it is n't packable, but I 've been able to fit my medium into a fanny pack no problem. Last, the attached microfiber cloth for lens cleaning is super useful. My chest size suggested a small would work, and it did fit my chest, but my arm length needed the medium. The jacket fits trim and is not too baggy.

I received this jacket in black for Christmas as a gift. It is super warm and windproof with cozy lined pockets and I like the chest pocket for my phone. The fit is comfy, not bulky, and it does not ride up on my long torso, making it a superb layer under waders. It is extremely light and compressible in its own pocket. This thing will keep you nice and toasty on blustery days, without the extra fluff.

[ I bought this jacket with the upcoming Winter in mind replacing my previous ten years ’ old puffer. I can tell it ’s going to be warm enough for the E coast winter but what really blows my mi d is just how light it is. Whereas I ’ ve always had jackets that encumbered my movements and I ’ d simply got used to that fact, this jacket feels so incredibly light and form fitting that it ’s going to be a new experience for my winters. [ Have been on a hunt for a new shirt jack, and this is the one I liked best out the 4 I tried. Very well built, lightweight and wind breaking. The poly insulation is just thick enough without being bulky, and plenty warm. I run hot, so this is great for me. I live in a wet climate, so water resistance is important. When I received this, the first test was to run water over my sleeve in the sink. The water ran right off. Recently had a scrap with a rose branch and the tough shoulder material was unaffected. It 's a nicely styled jacket. I purchased the grey one with the branding blacked out- very cool. Would recommend!

I went hiking in Iceland with this jacket, and let me tell you, it is 100% worth it. At first, I was slightly annoyed with the hood, but now I see why it 's designed like that; my hood stayed on in 60 mph wind! The zipper 's leather tag broke off, but it 's not a big deal. The zipper can be annoying to zip up and get stuck at times. Overall, I was in- 8 degree weather and 60 mph wind and SWEATING during my hike- definitely wind and waterproof. I did but on wax only on the shoulders but you honestly do n't really need the wax, I 've been in rain, snow, hail and stayed dry and warm.

First- I will say this coat is AWESOME! I wanted to finally invest in a hardy quality winter coat and this one fit the bill. This is the warmest and nicest coat I 've ever owned. I was tired of the trendy lightweight down coats that do n't actually keep you as warm as you 'd like. There is a kind of pleasure that comes from wearing and enjoying a finely crafted article of clothing and this jacket gives just that. It feels exceptionally cozy and of high quality. Second, I will say that this coat is BIG. I really do not understand Fjallraven 's sizing recommendations. For reference, I am male, 6' and 160lbs with an athletic( I would like to say) build. I find it a little frustrating to read reviews and feedback about sizing but most people do not put their body size in the review for comparison. If I had followed Fjallraven 's sizing guide, I should have ordered a medium. I was torn about which size to order and found it hard to gauge based on reviews, so I ordered a Small and Medium with the intent to return whichever one I did n't want. I will definitely be sticking with the small. The small itself almost feels a tad oversized but I think it will do okay. The medium just feels comically big on me. Even with wearing a shirt and lightweight sweater underneath, I am quite comfortable and still have full range of motion in the small. As far as warmth and comfort, this thing feels so comfortable. I am impressed with the amount of down and insulation in this thing. I live in the midwest USA and our winters get down to 18- 20F on an average cold winter day, usually with several days dipping into the single digits or lower. I walk my dog every morning and enjoy winter hiking and I feel confident and prepared for the coming winter now. So far we have not hit a very very cold day but I did try it out in a morning just above freezing. I wore only a T- shirt underneath while walking my dog and did not overheat in it as others stated- I felt quite comfortable. Part of me wonders if this means I would be a little cold in just the jacket on the really really cold days, but I think it is reasonable to still require a warm base layer or thin sweater underneath to stay warm enough. I feel confident this will be the case. The hood is impressive- big and warm and well insulated and fits snugly enough when pulled over your head and the fuzzy lining feels functional enough to keep out wind, not just a fashion statement. The drawstrings add a nice touch and work well, helping you to show off your lean figure still in a thick coat as you cinch it up around your waist. This helps trap warm air inside and I noticed it also takes a bit of the weight of the coat off your upper body and puts it onto your hips- kind of like the hip straps of a backpack. The zipper is not really as big of a problem as some have complained. It is a bit funny because it is on the opposite side as most zippers for men in the US. Maybe this is a Swedish thing? I 'm sure I will get used to it. Overall, I would say: Stylish, cozy, WARM, quality. It brings me joy and confidence knowing I am well prepared for the coming winter.

I have now become a fan of Fjallraven parkas. I like their casual/outdoorsy design over more formal/urban designs( CG, MK, etc.). I like the numerous pockets of which some are quite spacious. This is a big plus for me over other brands( like CG and MK). Price- wise Fjallraven falls in the middle: they are not the cheapest in the market yet they are less expensive than the so called 'prestigious' brands like CG, MK, N, M, etc.. I find Fjallraven to be as good as any of the them in regards to product quality. The G1000 shell feels very tough and durable. The lining feels good too though I like the lining of Singi Wool better as it feels more organic. Why does n't Fjallraven use the same lining in Singi Down is puzzle- some to me. There are a few caveats though. After getting a Singi Wool in small size which was a perfect fit for me, I bought the Singi Down in small size too. It turned out to be too small for me. It felt particularly tight around my hip. I am 72kg, 178cm tall. Moreover, I got it in Dark Navy color. Strangely, the shell had a green hue to it! It was n't a deal breaker but I certainly preferred a neutral navy tone. I could not return the jacket so sold it online. Since I liked the jacket, I was looking to get one in medium size. Recently, there was a sale on Fjakraven products in a local store at% 50 discount. These were apparently sample units or new units with some defects. Look and behold, I saw a Singi Down( sample unit) in large size( the only available one). I tried it and while it was a bit loose and bulky on me, it was certainly acceptable and the sleeves were the right length. Strangely, the jacket was in a beautiful blue tone( indigo?) that is not available online. The color was like dream come true! So I am again a Singi Down owner. Not sure why this color is n't available online for sale. Perhaps, they are planning to introduce the color in the future or is perhaps this is a discontinued color.

I think I can best summarize my opinion of this coat in that it makes me want to go outside in blizzards. This thing is sooo warm and well designed for practical use; I spend a huge amount of time standing outside for hours in the winter and this is the perfect tool for the job. Not only is it warm, but its also very durable. The external fabric is tough! I have no concerns about it every ripping which is a huge peace of mind, I think the thick fabric also helps protect from wind which is really nice when its blustery. The pockets are very generous and perfect for stashing gloves or other moderate sizes items if needed. I find myself rarely needing the hood but when I do its oversized and very helpful in protecting against flakes or wind. The only thing that I dont absolutely love about this thing is the zipper for some reason its a bit hard to line up, and there is a bit of a learning curve, its funny, every winter it takes me a couple tries when first using the coat to get the feel for it, but after that I have no issus; on the other hand, the zipper is very durable so its not like I 'm concerned about it failing, more that it just takes a bit of a specific 'touch' to get it to line up. Overall I would highly reccomend this, it will last for years( mine has so far, and I expect it will for many more) its also a lot more affordable than other premium parkas, but I think this one is actually warmer and more practical in many ways than its competitors.

[ I spend all my weekends in hockey rinks with two kids in hockey and this thing keeps me toasty with just a shirt underneath. It looks great with the fur removed, and the zipper is not that much of an issue it just zips up on the other side from usual, otherwise it works great. I ’ m 6 ’ 1 ” 185 lbs with athletic build and medium fit perfectly. I ’ m large in pretty much every other shirt/jacket.
