These balls are nice quality. They are solid with a slight squishy feeling. When used in the heater pitching machine they come out slower because of their weight. If they get wet or damp they are even slower through the machine. My not have enough velocity to make it farther than 10 feet when wet.( wet because the grass is damp) When dry they can go far enough to simulate a pitcher. Not perfectly but enough for back yard practice.

Everything about this machine is 5 star. So good for teaching kids to hit live pitching. So much fun for backyard baseball. I am not sure who loves it more, the dad's or the kids. Also, jugs is such a top notch company. All of their products are over built in terms of quality. Their spare parts are cheap and easy to find when something breaks. I absolutely would n't but a machine from another brand. My one piece of advice is that the Jugs brand balls wear out quickly, are very expensive, and soak up water. We use Athletic brand foam balls and they work perfectly without the problems.

I have been watching this Marucci pitching machine for a couple of weeks and searching everywhere for a review with no luck. Today I spoke with a very nice lady at my local DSG and asked about the return policy. I was afraid that like many other products, this would advertise 60 mph and actually do 25… she told me 90 days, just to make sure I saved all the packaging. I got it home tested it immediately with real baseballs and was my target at 46 feet consistently for the most part. I switched to dimple balls and grabbed the pocket radar and I was constantly hitting 54/55 mph at 46 ft on target. I was using a 9 hole target and 18/18 balls hit a pocket!

It ’s a bit of work to switch the legs back and forth from the baseball to softball ones so you pretty need to do one or the other in one session. My daughter feels like the low profile legs give her pretty realistic look at how pitches come at her on the games which is a huge plus compared to having hit her off the baseball machines. It was a bit pricey being$ 500 over the machine that throws 60 mph( this one is 70) so I hope my kids are still using it when they face that velocity. I would recommend product!

This machine is for real. A coach friend of mine in California saw it at a tournament last summer and called me about it. He told me, `` You have got to get this machine for your travel team. '' I have been using it the last two weeks with my girls. It is just like hitting in a game. I push the button on the remote and it throws a perfect changeup. I push the button again and it throws a fastball/riser with no delay between pitches. The machine gives nothing away to alert the hitter which pitch is coming. I bought one more than three years ago directly from Jugs. Still use it a LOT! It's fantastic! The on- off switch became sticky but I was able to replace it myself and the part was very inexpensive. Excellent for working on batting mechanics. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I bought this soft toss machine. It tosses baseball or softball to a batter. It runs off a 12 volt rechargeable battery. I have a 20 year old one I bought brand new. It works perfect after all these years. I replaced the batter every so often. I had to replace the arm on it after the 12 year. I called jugs for the part. I sent them the picture of my old machine and model# they sent me the arm free of charge. I own 3 today because I coach and do camps. I have zero issues with any of then except replacing the battery's. I found a good trick to preserving the battery's. I bought a trickle charger at harbor freight. I hooked up this trickle charger to the battery. I drilled a hole for the wire to come out of the machine. I then put a connection on the outside for the charger. I plug in my machine at night when not in use to the trickle charger. My battery's last 2 to 3 years and ready to go any time with out over charging my battery's. I made wooden cases for my machine with foam inside for safe travel. Work horse machine. Love jugs machines. All there products are quality stuff. I only by jugs products.

It does what it says... we put it to the side of the plate loaded it with baseballs and set it up to run... it takes a few tries to recognize the sound and time the pitches.

Parents of two boys
I have been using this for just over a month now and overall I am pretty darn happy with this purchase. The pitching machine locates balls consistently, can use both baseballs and jug balls, and has all the speed that you could ask for. The 10 ball feeder is AWESOME! Can load it up and watch the kids swing. The rotating head is an added bonus. It allows us to use the machine for fielding practice as well. Had experience with the single wheel machines in the past, but in my mind, there is no comparison to this Heater. With that said, buy the Net somewhere else... not their speciality.
