I 'm a skater from way back and these skates exceeded my expectations. The boot feels professional not cheep, the wheels render a smooth glide, I do n't have to change them out. They definitely run large, `` I read the reviews '' I wear a 9. 5, I purchased an 8.. the fit is perfect. I wear thick socks and still have ample room however, they are n't clunky and do n't drag. I do n't know they do it, but this skate is excellent. I recommend this skate for new and seasoned skaters.

I 've only used twice for about 2 hours but I learned how to skate in these and they look pretty. I bought my size and a size down. I kept the smaller size since they do run a little large but both fit.

A lot of the reviews say to buy a size smaller, but I just bought a 9 women's( I 'm typically an 8- 9 normal shoes, and an 8 in men's skates) and they fit pretty well. While there's definitely some extra room, I laced them a bit tighter and they fit perfectly. The boot goes about an inch or two more up your leg than average rink rental skates, so they have more support and feel more `` attached '' to your leg. The toe stops are pretty large and flat( not peg- shaped), so it's really easy to slow down or stop. They do weigh 7. 5 pounds total, so be prepared for a workout. Because of that, it may also be harder to sustain high speeds unless you 're really working at it, but it's been easier for me to stop or slow down quickly. Overall, they feel very sturdy and strong, they do n't hurt my feet or give me blisters, and they roll very nicely. No adjustments required; I skated on them for a few hours immediately after opening the box. They worked very well on the smooth concrete sidewalks at the park, but rolled a little bit easier and faster at the indoor skating rink, so be advised. I ordered them on a Friday; they took about 5 business days to ship. I had to call to change my address while the order was in route, and the customer service representative was very helpful. Overall, great product.
