After searching through local sports stores, at the rink, big box stores and websites, we finally chose the Chicago boys rink skates for our 4 and 1/2 year old grandson. They are easy to get on and off, support his ankles, and glide smoothly around the basement floor. They are also suited for the indoor roller rink, which he will be going to soon for a party. He uses them to play roller hockey. Although the shoe is a vinyl, it looks and feels almost like leather-- too bad they still are n't made with leather. We purchased them two sizes bigger than he wears for growth. He wears long sports socks over his regular socks, and that works fine. I would recommend these skates over others that we found at big box stores.

I choose this skate because I am not a white shoe fan and wanted to the black ones. So for women if you choose this skate and have a wide foot I would buy in the size you are. I am a size 7 1/2 and purchased a size 7 men's. These feel and fit great even with thick socks on. Use the charts given as a guide. However, I purchase a different Chicago skate in a size 6 and could n't get it on my foot so the various types of skates matter when selecting a size for a woman. I am glad I ordered these from Dick's the last pair cost me to have them shipped and to ship them back, just beware. Great ankle support, a bit more than the macroblade model. My foot is 273mm and I got the rb80 size 9. Fit nice and snug, comfy, do n't hurt. Wear 9. 5 in sneakers and boots. Definitely worth the money. I do wish they would put a longer frame than 243mm in size 9 and higher, like the 261mm they put in size 13 and higher, for longitudinal stability. Makes sense and they work much better than the 243mm

After looking online these were in the price range I wanted and reviews pointed these were a good substitute for my previous pair. They fit well from the first time I wore them. I will admit that when I first heard of 3- wheel skates, I was a little skeptical about the alleged benefits, having been a 4- wheel inline skater for over 25 years. But after only three months with these skates, I am convinced that 3WD skates meet the hype. My endurance and speed have both greatly improved, although this wheel configuration does struggle on uphill stretches more than a 4WD skate does. One change I wish was made for this model is fitting a faster- ratcheting strap fastener. Oh, and a replaceable liner would be nice, too. Other than that, I have nothing negative to say about the Macroblade 110 3WD. If you ’ re looking to go faster for longer but don ’ t have the budget for full- on speed skates, these are the skates for you.
