Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). These are true to size, perhaps slightly narrow in the toe but not enough to size up IMO. I 'm almost 200lbs which is a lot of force coming down on my feet and I ca n't recommend these enough for heavier people. This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I ’ m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don ’ t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I ’ d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. I love these shoes! I had two pairs of the 5s. The rubber did come off on the bottom the first week but I superglued it back on. I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc in these babies and they did great! Love the extra cushioning and durability. Will definitely buy them again for my next long hike. The extra cushioning prevented any foot pain. [ I have been using the Altra Olympus 6 for hiking, running, and fastpacking. This is my first time trying a full- cushion trail shoe, but I have been road running in the Altra Torin for about 6 years. After about 25 miles of mixed terrain, weather and landscapes, I feel this shoe excels in climbing and tackling dry, loose terrain. I felt stable and powerful sprinting up sandy hillsides and dusty singletrack. The shoe absorbs the impact of large gravel, and bites into turns well. I slid around a bit on large wet roots and slick rocks under the stiff midfoot but recovered quickly and happily traded that for the protection from sharp obstacles. The high stack kept my feet dry when encountering mud and puddles, while the well ventilated upper kept me comfortable on long, hot days. The contoured form around the Achilles took a little getting used to, but it worked to lock my heel on ascents; no hot spots. Laces stay tied. Altra gave me this free product to try, and I 'm looking forward to putting many more miles on it.

[ All I run in is Altra 's, so I was stoked when Altra gave me this free product to try. The Olympus 6 's look a bit like oversize clown shoes, however, they are SO comfortable I just love running in them! Recently, I was running up a muddy hill along Minnehaha Creek in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and some guy and his dog tried to run up the same hill, and he started sliding down it! I reached my hand out to help him get up the hill, and so he grabbed onto it, and the grip of these shoes was nearly strong enough to hold up him and me, but eventually he started to drag me down the hill with him, so I yelled at him to let go, as he propelled up. It was reaffirming to me though how well these Olympus 6 's performed compared to other trail shoes- especially on the wet/muddy ground! These Olympus 6 's have one heck of a grip! The colors are decent( I always prefer men 's colors to women 's, but the women 's are okay on this model shoe). The heel is a bit large on me, and the shoes look silly on my skinny legs, but these really are super comfortable shoes that still feel pretty lightweight( all things considered) and really do perform well! For someone looking for a high cushioned shoe with good traction, I 'd highly recommend the Olympus 6 's. Thanks Altra for providing these shoes for free to me so I could review them. I sure do love them!

I love the feel and fit of the Ariel GTS 24. My first pair was a pretty teal blue and I liked that it had color but was n't too wild because I like to wear them for everyday use as well as exercise walking and some running. They do n't look clunky and do n't make my feet look big. I decided to get a real neutral shade next so I got a greyish beige style. Most recently I got the Mercury/ebony/sweet lavender and this is my favorite color so far. Very neutral overall but the lavender part adds a lot of style. They are a very supportive, stable shoe which is important to me as I am in my 70s and need that. The only negative is that this most recent shoe did not have the same type of shoelaces as the first two pairs. Those laces stay tied even when you do n't double- knot them. The laces on the newest pair are flatter instead of round and I always worry they will come untied if I do n't double knot.

So grateful to the clerk at Tradehome that said- `` just try these ''! I thought the wide toe box was ugly- but my teen age grandkids LOVED them! The colors are great. Turns out that zero drop was exactly what I needed to heal my heel, while the extra cushioning helped me be able to start really moving again. I recommend them to everyone who 's tried everything else and to everyone who does n't want to have to try again and again to help the foot pain go away.( wish they cost less- I 'd have them in every color) Thanks again to that clerk with upside down name tag. I was looking for a new shoe for my fitness walks. I ’ m a quite speedy walker( 4+ mph) and needed something to support my heel and arches. I tried lululemon and Hokas and both made my arches hurt immediately, I couldn ’ t finish my walk. I tried the Brooks Glycerin GTS and they were amazing. I had one of my fastest walks ever!! I ’ m glad I got the extra supper because my arches hurt a little as I was warming up, but the shoe supported me well and I was able to do my entire walk. The heel is also supportive without being too squishy. I don ’ t notice feeling super hot in them, but I haven ’ t worn them in the summer yet. While I ’ d love to wear these everyday, I ’ m reserving them just for exercise, so they don ’ t wear out too quickly. I ’ m normally a size 7. 5 in sneakers and I got a 7. 5 in Brooks.

I use this shoe for running mainly and love the wider toe box. It 's a comfortable fit. The stack is not too high at 24 mm- I also have the escalante racer which has a 22mm stack. I am trying to progress down to minimalist shoes so the escalante 4 are a good step in that transition. I would like to see more choices from Altra with a low cushioning/ stack especially in their trail shoes. But I love that they stay loyal to the wider toe box and zero drop

I walk 7 miles a day and always would wear On Cloud X because they are the only ones that did n't hurt my feet. I have tried Hoka, Nike, On, ASICS, Reebok to name a few and since On changed their Cloud X they hurt too. I love these- they are comfortable and do n't hurt at all.
