Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). I absolutely love the Guide 18s! I am training for a half marathon, typically run 30- 40 miles a week. The past few months, I 've gone through several other shoes, had lots of trouble with blisters. This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I ’ m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don ’ t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I ’ d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. I totally recommend these to any fellow flat footed runner, especially if you ’ re just starting out. I ’ ve taken them on trails, pavement, track, and they feel fantastic.

I love these shoes! I had two pairs of the 5s. The rubber did come off on the bottom the first week but I superglued it back on. I hiked the Tour du Mont Blanc in these babies and they did great! Love the extra cushioning and durability. Will definitely buy them again for my next long hike. The extra cushioning prevented any foot pain. I 'd say they lasted a whole summer of maybe 200 miles of hiking!

[ I have been using the Altra Olympus 6 for hiking, running, and fastpacking. This is my first time trying a full- cushion trail shoe, but I have been road running in the Altra Torin for about 6 years. After about 25 miles of mixed terrain, weather and landscapes, I feel this shoe excels in climbing and tackling dry, loose terrain. I felt stable and powerful sprinting up sandy hillsides and dusty singletrack. The shoe absorbs the impact of large gravel, and bites into turns well. I slid around a bit on large wet roots and slick rocks under the stiff midfoot but recovered quickly and happily traded that for the protection from sharp obstacles. The high stack kept my feet dry when encountering mud and puddles, while the well ventilated upper kept me comfortable on long, hot days. The contoured form around the Achilles took a little getting used to, but it worked to lock my heel on ascents; no hot spots. Laces stay tied. Altra gave me this free product to try, and I 'm looking forward to putting many more miles on it.

[ All I run in is Altra 's, so I was stoked when Altra gave me this free product to try. The Olympus 6 's look a bit like oversize clown shoes, however, they are SO comfortable I just love running in them! Recently, I was running up a muddy hill along Minnehaha Creek in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and some guy and his dog tried to run up the same hill, and he started sliding down it! I reached my hand out to help him get up the hill, and so he grabbed onto it, and the grip of these shoes was nearly strong enough to hold up him and me, but eventually he started to drag me down the hill with him, so I yelled at him to let go, as he propelled up. It was reaffirming to me though how well these Olympus 6 's performed compared to other trail shoes- especially on the wet/muddy ground! These Olympus 6 's have one heck of a grip! The colors are decent( I always prefer men 's colors to women 's, but the women 's are okay on this model shoe). The heel is a bit large on me, and the shoes look silly on my skinny legs, but these really are super comfortable shoes that still feel pretty lightweight( all things considered) and really do perform well! For someone looking for a high cushioned shoe with good traction, I 'd highly recommend the Olympus 6 's. Thanks Altra for providing these shoes for free to me so I could review them. I sure do love them!

I love the feel and fit of the Ariel GTS 24. My first pair was a pretty teal blue and I liked that it had color but was n't too wild because I like to wear them for everyday use as well as exercise walking and some running. They do n't look clunky and do n't make my feet look big. I decided to get a real neutral shade next so I got a greyish beige style. Most recently I got the Mercury/ebony/sweet lavender and this is my favorite color so far. Very neutral overall but the lavender part adds a lot of style. They are a very supportive, stable shoe which is important to me as I am in my 70s and need that. The only negative is that this most recent shoe did not have the same type of shoelaces as the first two pairs. Those laces stay tied even when you do n't double- knot them. The laces on the newest pair are flatter instead of round and I always worry they will come untied if I do n't double knot.

I 've spent the summer trying everything to alleviate my sudden plantar fasciitis from orthotics to Hokas and several other brands recommended by lots of sympathetic folks. I do have weird feet. I was looking for a new shoe for my fitness walks. I ’ m a quite speedy walker( 4+ mph) and needed something to support my heel and arches. I tried lululemon and Hokas and both made my arches hurt immediately, I couldn ’ t finish my walk. I tried the Brooks Glycerin GTS and they were amazing. I had one of my fastest walks ever!! I ’ m glad I got the extra supper because my arches hurt a little as I was warming up, but the shoe supported me well and I was able to do my entire walk. The heel is also supportive without being too squishy. I don ’ t notice feeling super hot in them, but I haven ’ t worn them in the summer yet. I bought these shoes and I could n't be happier. I have high arches and I had a hard time finding a shoe that were comfortable and supported my feet. Most running shoes have a high heel drop or a lower heal drop and too much cushion and that is not ideal for someone with a high arch and shin splints. I used to wear the New Balance 9060, which I liked, but after switching to the Hoka Bondi 9, I can confidently say these are even better. These are my comfiest Ryka 's and I own several pairs of Ryka 's in different styles. By comfy I mean soft and cushiony. These are not extremely supportive like Hokas which can be stiff. I walk over a mile to and from work on city sidewalks and am up and about all day. These shoes help keep me moving.

The Devoted Walking Sneaker 's design is brilliant. At first, you think, what 's with this toebox! The width feels just right but the fabric top is oddly roomy with airspace above your toes. The fabric is not stretched tightly, so it 's a bit loose. Your toes can move. Toe bumps are n't rubbed. PLUS the heel is snug. So, when you lace up, your feet stay put and do n't shift around. The snug heel plus roomy toebox mean your metatarsals do n't get pinched or achy. ALL THIS, PLUS the shoe bed is super comfortable with incredible cushioning front and back. For me, the cushioning is so good that I do n't even need my custom orthotics for bad metatarsals, something I 've required for 30 years. fyi my other favorite Ryka model for daily use is Devotion X Walking Shoe, which provides a fit that 's more tailored with fabulous cushioning, also no orthotics needed. I wear my Rykas for everyday/all day use, long walks, and driving( 5- on- the- floor w/ firm clutch).

My feet didn ’ t move around or feel unsupported. My feet feel great after hours of walking.
