Believe it or not my dad had invented the wheel design and handle back in the 80's. I 'm glad to see your improvements to the design. I really like the extension T on the handle. but would remocent one thing and that is something to get the handle up higher so the cooler does n't tip over when you walk upright where it is comfortable. I just made a loop with 2 '' webbing to put around the handle as a quick fix but would love something more purmanent.

he DSG Victory Cooler is a great choice if you ’ re looking for a long duration cooler. Best part is it ’s a fraction of the cost of the other brands. My first impression of this cooler is the build quality and attention to detail. I ’ m always happy to see a product made in the USA as well. The cooler feels sturdy and well made. The lid and hinge both feel strong. I personally like the style of the latches and they are easy to open and close. The carry handles are a thick rope material with rubber grips. I found them comfortable even under the weight of a full cooler. I ’ m impressed with some of the good ideas DSG incorporated. Like the integrated bottle opener which also doubles as part of the ability to put a lock on the lid. I also found the non slip pads on the bottom of the cooler to be helpful when transporting the cooler to keep it from sliding around. I received the cooler as a gift as part of a promotion. I have used the 48 QT DSG Victory Cooler for several trips over the last few weeks. The first thing I noticed about it was the excellent build quality and attention to details. It has comfortable rubber handles, which makes carrying it very easy on the hands. The double latch system is super easy to open& close, and the rubber gasket around the inside of the lid really prevents the cold from getting out and the outside temperature from getting in. This cooler also has a built- in bottle opener( which I have not used yet) and an over- sized knob on the attached drain plug. On both of my recent trips, I pre- chilled the cooler with a bag of ice before putting any drinks inside. From there, I simply added minimal ice( 1- 2 bags) just to see how much ice will melt over different periods of use. During my camping trip, we added one large bag of ice on day 1 and at least 40%- 50% of the ice remained on day 3. In fact, when I returned home… I forgot to empty the ice out that night and I was surprised how much ice was still down in the cooler with my remaining water bottles the next morning( day 4). During our last beach outing, I only added one small bag of ice in the cooler. We were only going out for 4 or 5 hours, so I knew we wouldn ’ t need very much. When we finally got back to our vehicle, I tried to drain the water and not much came out at all. I thought maybe the drain plug was blocked… but sure enough, there just wasn ’ t much melted water in the cooler. The cooler was in the sun for the last couple of hours, so I was surprised by how well it retained the ice inside and kept everything super cold. This is a fantastic USA- Made cooler that I can ’ t wait to use on our next family outing! Let me say that Dicks Sporting Goods( DSG) has really stepped up their game in the outdoor goods market in the past couple of years. They launched a line of kayaks last year that offered great bang for your buck compared to other brands and it looks like they are bringing that same energy to the cooler market. It seems everyone is making a cooler nowadays. They all promise great ice retention and maybe a couple other options, but at the end of the day the only thing that matters is does it keep your stuff cold and does it do it for a long time? If you are looking at the DSG Victory cooler, then the answer is yes. It will also do it without breaking the bank. I was offered the opportunity to review this cooler, in exchange I received the cooler free of charge, and in return I am offering my honest review. First of all, the color on this cooler is really nice. Very deep blue with no evidence of the molding process. The edges are clean and the cooler appears very well made. It has some nice touches like anchor points built into the side, a bottle opener that doubles as a locking point to keep things secure inside, and positive locking latches. It also features a very thick rubber gasket that you can feel when you close the cooler. You can tell some real thought went into making this cooler. It ’s sturdy enough to stand on or sit on, so its great for a campsite. Second, it promises 5 days of ice retention, so I put that to the test. I put in 20 lbs of ice( it will hold almost 30), and I closed it and locked it closed. I did that on a Sunday afternoon. Each day I would slosh the cooler to judge the ice retention. On Friday afternoon it was probably 25% ice, and then on Saturday it was all water. If I had more ice in the cooler, then I think I could have added another day. So, for a trip to the beach or a weekend camping trip, this cooler is going to be perfect. Lastly, this won ’ t break your budget. Similar coolers are at least double the cost, if not triple, and you are getting the same features. And, this cooler is proudly made in the USA. You won ’ t go wrong with this cooler and I would gladly recommend this to anyone in the market for a high- performance cooler.

Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!

If you love cold drinks driving to hot states in the summer or any time this is a great cooler that will do the job. This is highly recommended as opposed to thermoelectric coolers if you need to travel with medication that must be at a certain temperature. The only drawback is that all compressor coolers are heaver by design. The bail handle seems strong enough by design to handle to full weight of the cooler. Where the bail handle attaches to both sides of the cooler body, this is why I gave this cooler 4 stars. It seems to be loose fitting and flimsy at the ends. The handles will just fall down to the sides when let go. The cooling and holding temperature work as designed and the compressor will stay off for about an hour to cool again at the set temp.( 42' F). I recommend the cooler, wish the price was less, great overall satisfaction.

I recently was sent the new DSG Victory 65 Quart Hard Cooler with Wheels from Dick ’s Sporting Goods. When I took this cooler out for the first time, I quickly realized that this cooler has a lot of great features that make up this cooler. The first thing I noticed was that this is a very well- made quality cooler. It looks and feels like a very durable high- end cooler. The external dimensions are 37. 6 inches high by 29. 6 inches wide and 53. 6 inches long. When empty it weighs 30 pounds and can hold 67 pounds of ice when full. I was able to pack this cooler with ice and drinks for an afternoon outside in the woods with my dog. The ice stayed cold all day and we still had plenty of ice left in the cooler after day three. This must be because of the thick foam insulation and the heavy- duty gasket seal on the lid. Also, the locking mechanisms on the front of the cooler ensured that the lid was tightly closed making sure that everything remained cold. The cooler itself is very easy to maneuver. The swing up handle and dual wheels makes it simple to haul the cooler from the garage to the backyard or to the back of my truck. The swing up handle is extremely well made and the textured handles ensured a sturdy and nonslip grip every time I moved the cooler. Even when fully loaded with ice it still can move with ease. When using the cooler, I never found the dual locking mechanisms tough to use like I have on other coolers. They seemed very well made and integrated flawlessly into the overall cooler design. In fact, hearing them lock in place when I closed the cooler gave me piece of mind that my drinks would stay cold. The placement of the metal bottle opener is in the perfect place for ease of use. After I was done with the cooler the cap for the drain plug easily unscrewed and the cooler drained fast. The cap on the drain is also well made and I am sure that it will stay in place for the life of the cooler and not snap off like what has happened to many other brand name coolers that I have used. All in all, this cooler will come highly recommended from me. It is everything I want in a high- end cooler. It has earned a permanent place in my backyard for cookouts and at the campsite for keeping our food and drinks cold and safe. Best of all it is made in the USA.

I was able to test the new DSG Victory 65 quart Cooler with Wheels from Dick ’s Sporting Goods as part of a promotion. My first and overall thoughts on the cooler is that it seems to be build very well and heavy duty as expected from a cooler of this caliber. The wheels and extended handle of this cooler make it extremely nice to move around as I have other cooler this size and once filled, they get heavy. Unfortunately, I received this cooler in the middle of a cold spell and could not run it through its places in warm or hot weather, so I tested it for ice retention in the house. The cooler did very well and held up to other coolers of this caliber. If you are looking for a well built cooler in the 65 quart range I would highly recommend this cooler as I think you will be happy with it.

I was fortunate enough to be sent the DSG Victory 65 Quart Hard Cooler with Wheels by Dick's Sporting Goods prior to it's release for testing and an honest review. Upon delivery of the cooler, I was immediately impressed with how well built it is. The cooler weighs about 31 pounds empty so it's light enough for a single person to move around while feeling incredibly sturdy. I stood on top of the cooler and it supported my weight( 225 pounds) with zero flex or concerns about breaking it. The latches are very easy to operate while still feeling like a secure latch, so much so that my 4 year old was able to get drinks out by himself. There is a bottle opener built in in metal latch in the middle with an option to padlock your cooler shut. The side handles are a little narrow and do n't give quite as much space to grip the cooler as I would like which makes it a little difficult to lift when it's fully loaded. The wheels and handle are a very nice addition to help move around the cooler since it can easily weigh almost 100 pounds fully loaded. I decided to put the cooler's claim of 8 days of ice retention to the test and it passed with flying colors. Here in Central Florida, the temperatures during my test were in the low 80's each day of the test and the cooler was left outside receiving full sun for about 5 hours of the day and shade for the remaining 5- 6 hours. I did not pre- chill the cooler. I used 40 pounds of ice, a few sodas and a hot dog to keep track of food temperatures. With opening the cooler a few times a day to take pictures, check temps and simulate normal use, the cooler finally lost it's last ice cube after 8 and a half days but the insulation was able to maintain food safe temperatures on the hot dog until the next day. I was very impressed with the cooler's performance and it will be my go- to for all future outings.

I got lucky and was picked as one of the first people to review the new Victory 65 wheeled cooler from DSG, so I decided to take it up north with my father in law to our 10 acre camp in Baldwin, Mi to check on everything and start to get ready for spring. The DSG Victory 65 fit nicely on my suv's hitch carrier, and looks pretty cool riding there. Seems like it is very sturdy without anything I can see that would break or get damaged. The latches work great and are easy to use. The wheels worked well even in frozen snow. Also, for a cooler this size it is n't too heavy like some others I have lifted. I did n't get to test the Ice retention as you can see from the pictures, spring has not yet arrived in Baldwin, Mi like it has down here in the SW part of the state. There are two things about this cooler that set it apart from many premium coolers, first, the wheels do n't take any space from inside, it has a nice clean rectangular shape, and second, the Victory 65 is made in the USA, which is awesome! This cooler turned out to be much more than I even expected. Not only is it a good bit larger than I expected it to be, the quality and thickness of the material is better than I expected. I have no concerns about this being able to float around in the lake with us or even in a pool on a hot summer day. It also has cords making it easy to attach to tubes or the back of the boat to keep it close. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

Fantastic water source for camping. Kept water nice and cold for several days and provided an easy way to refill bottles and camelbaks with ice cold water for hikes. Keep in mind that 8 lbs of ice will take up 1 gallon of volume. If the water is room temperature when you put it in( like those 5 gallon containers you re- fill at the store) then you will need approximately 12 lbs of ice just to even get it cold( with all the ice now melted and none leftover). So I ’ d recommend pairing 24 lbs of ice with 3 gallons of room temperature water. That should leave you with roughly 4. 5 gallons of ice cold water and 12 lbs of ice to make sure it stays cold.

While the Silo is a great product. I sure wish they would offer them in colors like everything else. Reliable and effective like every other Yeti cooler. We take this to the beach and use it for margaritas. Love it! Easy to clean and stays cold all day, even when the margaritas don ’ t last that long.

I researched for about 2 weeks after my “ USA made ” lifetime cooler broke after a few years of lite duty. After all the reviews and research I decided on a orca cooler and guess what? I didn ’ t make a mistake I would put this on yeti level with a better warranty and being made right here in the states. My cooler came with a big scratch on top but it looks like something shipping did. Im impressed with all aspects of this cooler my favorite parts are the handles and the bag on the back all very sturdy and high quality. If I get good longevity out of this as I feel I will you guys have a life long customer.

Keep in mind it ’s a 30qt cooler therefore it ’s a small cooler than most but it ’s perfect for me bc I can fit all of my fav drinks and snacks for all of the functions.
