OMG I CAN NOT say enough about these boots.... I will be ordering them in all 3 colors. I had yet to find a hiking boot that didnt cause me foot pain, blisters, or hot spots.... until now. These fit my feet perfectly. The toe box is typically where i struggle with hiking boots- blisters and pain of the great toe and medial ball of foot. Even while breaking these in I did not experience either of these issues. I have tried SO many other brands without finding the right fit.... i resorted to hiking Montana's Mountains in luna sandals because i could not find a hiking shoe/boot that didnt cause foot pain. Needless to say sandals and mountains are not ideal BUT they were better than the issues i had prior to trying these bogs boots! These will be the only hiking boot i will ever wear!!! PLEASE DO NOT CHANGE OR DISCONTINUE this item!!!

I do n't mind these boots but they feel more like a winter boot than a rainboot. They are quite heavy for a rainboot and they rub on your lower calf/upper ankle if they 're not snug. I wish I would have went down a half size or worn thicker socks. You must wear taller socks so it does n't rub on your skin. Overall, they are a great boot and it's almost like they have a dual purpose; rainboot and winter boot.

I wear size 6 1/2 but was advised to go up a half size since my feet are wide. They were too tight so I got size 7 1/2 and they feel much better but I am breaking them in before a winter trip to Japan where we will be doing a lot of walking. The boots are a simple style which I love and will keep my feet warm. I looked at many other winter boots on several websites and none can compare to the Cedar Quilt and I love the color green so this was perfect. I will attach two photos to the review. The photos are not edited and the one true to color is the one showing the side and bottom of the boot.

I wear an 8 across the board in all brands and very rarely have to size up or down. I needed to size up to a 9 for these boots. They were difficult to get on in my regular size. Bought this Chelsea boot to wear around NYC around Christmas( and light hiking in parks) with some ice and light snowfall on ground- super flexible, water proof, my wide high arch bunion feet are happy with no break in period. Seriously worn them on planes, trains, city walking,( carefully) on icy snow park, subways etc. I wish there were more colors- a cool one pink would be awesome. Soles are removable, so there is the option to put in your own.
