This is the first swimjig I ever caught a bass on. I really love the head design and the double keeper on the hook shank but the best part is the weed guard. It ’s softer than most but still stiff enough to keep it from snagging. Best colors to start with are Tommy gill or the numbers. Bottom line this is a legit swimjig!

So Booyah advertises that this frog is still heavy enough to cast with bait casting gear. I assure you, they 're correct and that any average bait casting gear can absolutely cast this frog! And with the right set up, you can cast it a country mile!!! This product is equally built when compared to it's big brother `` Pad Crasher '' and both are top quality hollow body frogs for a more than reasonable price. These baits get noticed when they are in the water and catch fish! Do n't underestimate the `` Jr '' it's smaller profile will absolutely still catch `` the big fish ''! The full size Pad Crasher is great when hunting that lunker or looking for the kicker fish to take to the scales, but the Jr. is the one in your arsenal that you 'll want to focus on first to fill the live- well or for a fun day of fishing. It's compact size and profile are equally as temping as the Pad Crasher, but to a greater audience of the little swimmers below it. If you do n't have a smaller profile frog, get one. This lure yes is small, but I have caught monster bass and pickeral on these bad boys and none of them have ever broke. Anytime I have the chance to buy them, I 'll take 3 at the least, they 're hard to find in store, but when you do you take it. I always have great luck with the pure white version. I 100% advise you to get this if you want to catch fish.

I live in central New York where huge smallmouth are hard to find! In the last year I have caught six smallmouth twenty inches or better! All were caught on boo yah pond magic buzz baits! I caught several between 16- 19 inches! Last night I got another 20 on the firefly color! I never fished a buzz bait in my life until until a year ago. The results have been simply amazing! I love the junebug, red ant, firefly and firebug patterns! The only complaint I have is I can not get my hands on a limetreuse pattern to save my life! I have tried several brands but none catches smallmouth like pond magic buzz baits! Thank you for such an amazing product! I am one happy customer!

I live in the Texas Hill Country where Guadalupe Bass are indigenous to the region. These little `` Hot water trout '' are ferocious little fish and often do n't take conventional bait like worms and swimming lures. However, they love anything white and on the surface. But NOTHING, and I mean, NOTHING catches Guads like the Pond Magic buzzbait. These things are amazing. I do modify the bait though. I pinch the grommet under the blade and I clean the paint off the flange that sits against the grommet. This induces a squeak that can be heard as far away as your farthest cast. Being that this can be pulled through many kinds of weeds( as long as you do n't stop), I 've had bass chase the lure through weed beds trying to catch `` that critter ''. I 've had them make an attempt 3 and 4 times before being successful. If I had to survive eating fish in Texas and could only pick one lure, the Pond Magic would be at the top of my list.

This lure works great. When the sun gets low, and the fish stop hitting worms, try this spinner bait! It will work until it gets dark! Just cast and retrieve. I love this frog for Shallow fishing along the shore. Always toss on shore and bring back with maybe a snag every 100 casts or so. Only downside is I 'm a catch and release guy and these are a pain to get out without harming the fish. Great frog though, probably my favorite bait.
