Okay... so yes, this is a regular stainless steel water bottle.... but whoever designed the straw/chug piece is an absolute GENIUS!!! These do wear out with heavy usage and have to be replaced once they start the mysterious slow leak, in which water escapes into the backpack with no discernible source. I 'm glad to see the straw redesign because the plastic bent on the last one, which I did n't like. However, they 're great for hiking hydration in a light pack that keeps my hands free.
