I wore them hiking through the local forest preserve with my dogs where there are all types of terrain, and these held up well. They were even easy to clean after getting a bit muddy, too. I didn??? t expect to like these as much as I do. These were perfect for the purpose I bought them for which was for Apple Fitness+ lower body strength workouts. I celebrated my 250th strength workout in these and surprisingly also received the burned the most calories award so I have to believe they definitely contributed to that. I sized down to an 8 from my usual Nike size 8. 5 and glad I did??? the EasyOn coupled with the Hyperlift stability plate makes it so easy to slip on/off. The grip is also phenomenal on these, I??? ll have no issue upping the weight going forward! No cons though note that these are absolutely not running shoes, I wouldn??? t even try as they??? re much too firm/blocky for that.

As someone who lifts weights to workout, I felt stable while wearing the shoe, which allowed me to put more focus on other areas to improve my form. I have had the ride 17 for several months now and I LOVE these shoes! I enjoyed my previous rides( 15) but I did have several small issues with them and the ride 17s have fixed all of these issues! The ride 15s always felt a little narrow on my foot and they were hard to get on…the 17s fit wider and my foot slips into them easily! I have actually considered going down half a size but I live in an area that gets very hot in summer so decided to stick with my size 7s to allow for swollen feet! The previous 15s had very short laces and I had trouble doing double knots for race day…the 17s have lovely long laces so no need now for double knots! There is now a loop on the back of the heel which really helps with getting the shoe on! And they are. very cushioned as well as being responsive! I have been able to do faster sprint workouts( strides) which is really helping with my confidence for improving my next half marathon time! I have a spring half I am preparing for as well as a fall marathon, and although I would love to move up to a plated shoe( such as the endorphin speed 4) my budget doesn ’ t allow for another purchase right now so I will stick with the 17s.

These were a replacement for another pair of ride17 that I had worn out. I spend most of my day on my feet on concrete so cushion is important. I also under- pronate and have plantar fasciitis so it is hard to find shoes that do n't make my feet ache. I tried a different style( triumph) at the recommendation from the shoe store but my feet screamed at me by the end of a few hours. I rec 'd these yesterday and wore them around the house yesterday and today. They are very light weight, breathable and comfortable. They will be just perfect for warm temperatures. My only complaint is the elastic laces which bothered my instep. I switched to regular laces and they are fine. They are not big and bulky like some other sneakers so I love the design and are perfect for everyday use.
