Overall I do recommend this item. Because I ride a recumbent trike and use a trailer for my kayak, I want to transport both. The shorter tongue on the kayak trailer does not fit well under my recumbent trike carrier. Mine is a different situation than most; therefore, I do recommend this. This is my second Saris SuperClamp I have purchased. I gave my first one to my son and daughter- in- law so they could transport their two bikes. What I love the most about this one is the tilt so you can get into your trunk as well as the fact that when you tilt it back in you have more space in the garage. Also like the addition of the wheel straps on this. I am 5' 1 '' so it is important that it is light weight and easy enough to handle. I put it together with no problems.

[ This is my 2nd Superclamp. The first one was destroyed when someone rear ended me. The Superclamp absorbed the blow and saved my car! Two things I like most of that I can fold the rack up and still open the lift gate of my Grand Cherokee and it is easy for my wife to load and unload her bike. Great stable rack that is easy to use.

[ Instillation was simple and quick as is securing the bikes. I used an aftermarket hitch stabilizer for some extra stability. Bikes feel secure in the rack. I took a heavy pedal assist and fairly light hybrid from NYC to Maine and back without issue. The pedal assist has front and back fenders but it was not an issue when securing the bike. I used the built in locks for front tires and my own heavy chains an locks for the bikes when I could n't bring them in and had no issues. It was tricky to find a rack for a 1. 25inch hitch that could solidly secure a heavy pedal assist with front and back fenders and I 'm happy the Saris does this with ease.

Originally I purchased the traditional car bike rack but with having two mountain bikes the fit was just two tight and the bikes were are odd angles. I returned it to Dicks with no issues and purchased this one. It took a few minutes to setup but for the most part it is pretty straightforward. The rack is not to heavy and works very well. It is not a heavy duty as the original bike rack I returned but I suspect it will hold up just fine. If I was to pick out any weak points it would be the plastic adjustment knobs other than it should be fine.

[ We have not had this for a very long time, but it is the best family bike rack that we have had and we have had a TON! We wish we had bought this first. It ’s easy to put on our van( hitch) its easy to load all of our different bikes especially the Trek bike without the quick release front wheel and no bar to go on the other type of hitch rack.

It has almost no movement when driving around. Bikes load up pretty easily once you get the hang of it. I think they could have come up with a better style of strap, but they work

I ’ ve been using the Thule Xsporter Pro Mid for a couple of months now. It was super easy to install on my 2018 Honda Ridgeline even though they mention it doesn ’ t fit. I saw this on a Honda ridgeline at overland Expo. It holds my 2 person roof top tent with ease and I can not wait to get a few more items on it as well

Just received this rack in great condition. Only negative comment I would like to make is that the instructions were horrible. No verbiage at all, just pictures. All the parts on the product sheet were labeled A- Z but no piece itself was labeled. Besides that and it taking some time to set up it fits well with my Thule Tepui Roof Rack

Works great. Like most Thule products the instructions are at best vague. Plan on redoing it at least once. The biggest challenge is the integration with the Caprock. When you put a Caprock over the back you take off the cross bars. So now you have two crossbars with no known future to store or throw away( bleh). I would also note that another three inches in height would make the product much more versatile, as others have noted. All- in- all though a great product!
