This is a fantastic boot! I never liked Nike ’s other boots and usually went with Rockys or Salomons, but these really surprised me. I ’ ve put them through two years of hard wear, including two deployments. They ’ re great for field work, and surprisingly, they can handle the “ intense ” conditions of office life too( perfect for all you back office people who think walking to the water cooler is a workout!). The only reason I needed a new pair is because my dog chewed one up, so they ’ re not dog- proof—go figure. All in all, an excellent boot. Nice job, Nike!

I love this shoe for it's stability and outdoor- ability. I do a lot of walking, training and working outdoors, and need a shoe with fantastic support and stability due to a previous foot injury. The SFB is the bomb- totally fits the bill. It has a wide platform, is supportive but flexible once worn a couple of times and it's easy to clean. I have had some trouble with the rear of the shoe wearing out, and they are 'slick' before you wear them in, but these are minor things.

I 've been wearing these for work for the previous couple years. My first pair had the carbon shank, the second pair does n't have the shank. Either way, they 've made perfect work shoes. They 're tough, take a beating, and look cool too. You should go a half size up for a good fit as these do run a bit small. I have a wider foot, which this shoe accommodates perfectly. Please Nike, do not discontinue this one for a loooooong time. Haaa, love these.

As for this model compared to the Alphafly 2 and original…they improved them tremendously. They are snug without pressure, better foam profile, and the lacing system doesn ’ t untie easily. My first run in these AF3s was a shakeout before a half marathon. Was concerned as the shoes squeaked for about 2. 5 miles but that finally subsided. Have run 2 half marathons in these- each time was PR by 4 minutes. Best thing for me is the low volume toe box. I have narrow, low volume feet. The VF3s are way too baggy in the toe box for me. I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I 'd love to see more colorways. I actually worked in them the first night I got them and had several complements. I felt like I was Tigger from Winnie the Pooh bouncing around the hospital all night.

I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

I ’ m a great lover of Brooks running trainers and have bought these in anticipation of an upcoming marathon. Have worn for circa 30 miles of training runs and they have been a revelation. The cushioning has greatly reduced stress on my knees. Running in these trainers feels effortless and they are so light that it hardly feels like I ’ m wearing anything on my feet! I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. Grab the loops at the top and back to slip on more easily. The laces did dig into the top of my feet, but problem solved with a Lydiard- style lacing( see photo).

Had to go half size up for a bit more length for toes but not a big issue, I have narrow feet and width is perfect. Haven ’ t ever felt a more comfortable, bouncy, carbon plated shoe. Usually carbon plated shoes hurt my feet after a few miles- these don ’ t. Just feel good to run in and they keep your feet turning over. Only complaint is little hard to get on. Also have the Mach 6 as a daily trainer and love that too. Also have the cielo road shoes- try these they are amazing with peba foam..

I purchased both Hoka Bondi 9 and the Skyward. The support is Awesome but my feet tend to get tired faster in the Skyward as opose to the bondi 9. I do 12 hour days, the arch support is great in these i have high foot arche. I do not have leg or knee trouble when wearing the Hokas. At first I thought I needed a half size smaller than normal but after trying definetly true to size.

I 've had these for 4 months now and have racked up about 60( fast) miles. I use these for all of my fast runs from tempos around 6: 00/mi pace all the way down to 30 second 200m repeats. I absolutely love these shoes! I ’ m prone to getting blisters but that isn ’ t a problem any more with these shoes. They are super lightweight, comfy, cushioned but still give you that bounce from the carbon plate. I feel like my runs are lighter and faster. I font feel any shock when I hit the ground so it feels like walking/running on clouds. I can not recommend these shoes enough! I plan on using these for race day. They are so comfy for longer runs and faster speed runs.
