This is a fantastic boot! I never liked Nike ’s other boots and usually went with Rockys or Salomons, but these really surprised me. I ’ ve put them through two years of hard wear, including two deployments. They ’ re great for field work, and surprisingly, they can handle the “ intense ” conditions of office life too( perfect for all you back office people who think walking to the water cooler is a workout!). The only reason I needed a new pair is because my dog chewed one up, so they ’ re not dog- proof—go figure. All in all, an excellent boot. Nice job, Nike!

I love this shoe for it's stability and outdoor- ability. I do a lot of walking, training and working outdoors, and need a shoe with fantastic support and stability due to a previous foot injury. The SFB is the bomb- totally fits the bill. It has a wide platform, is supportive but flexible once worn a couple of times and it's easy to clean. I have had some trouble with the rear of the shoe wearing out, and they are 'slick' before you wear them in, but these are minor things.

I 've been wearing these for work for the previous couple years. My first pair had the carbon shank, the second pair does n't have the shank. Either way, they 've made perfect work shoes. They 're tough, take a beating, and look cool too. You should go a half size up for a good fit as these do run a bit small. I have a wider foot, which this shoe accommodates perfectly. Please Nike, do not discontinue this one for a loooooong time. Haaa, love these.

[ I typically run around 30k a week in my local reserve. I found these shoes to be super soft and very responsive, which provides a comfortable ride on concrete pathways and on paved roads. The sole provides excellent grip and stability. The upper part of the shoe provides excellent breathability and helps to keep my feet free of moisture from sweat. It fits pretty much to the size indicated and has a wide toe box which allows my toes to move freely. Wow. These are awesome. I ran my last half marathon in the Pegasus trail, and I was less than impressed. I went to the Wildhorse but felt those needed more cushioning. When I started doing road races in the vaporfly, I was really hoping that Nike would do some sort of vaporfly hybrid shoe for trails and I feel like this is it! I took it right out of the box on a 7 mile adventure, with about 2k feet of vert in the first 2 miles and then a downhill 3 mile run on a fire road, before hitting 2 miles on pavement. They performed superb. They are ultralite( 6. 5oz in my size) and have a super wide toebox, which is unlike most Nike products. This means that you ’ re not gon na get any pressure on your toenails and they ’ re not hitting up against the front of the shoe. They ’ re super breathable and the carbon fiber plate definitely gives you a little propel forward. I ’ m so excited that Nike finally got a contract with Vibram because the soles are incredibly grippy. I don ’ t know how this shoe would do on super technical terrain, considering it is a race shoe, so it ’s meant to be fast and agile. But I don ’ t know if it would protect you from kicking a rock or hitting a rock with anything near your ankle. You ’ re definitely gon na feel that. I ’ m all in for taking this on my next race and super excited to see how I perform in this shoe. I love that there ’s no break in time with Nike ever and I ’ m really happy to see that they have stepped it up with their trail running shoes. We needed this!

I 've been using the gore- Tex trail shoes with Currex high arch insoles for more than a year of consecutive daily running. I was doing more trail/gravel running til late winter& switched to the track for later runs. This is my first carbon plate Nikes and I ca n't believe how much faster& lighter they feel on my feet. Of course now I want to try the vapor/alphas as well. I have really high arches and it is like they made this shoe to fit me perfectly. I may end up putting my insoles in but I had not even needed them for my first week of runs in them. I 'm definitely going faster than I 'd even imagined. Great shoes. I 'd love to see more colorways. I actually worked in them the first night I got them and had several complements. I felt like I was Tigger from Winnie the Pooh bouncing around the hospital all night.

I ’ m relatively new to road racing( having done just one half marathon this year) and this is my first carbon shoe. My warm up mile was light and breezy in this shoe and my speed work was definitely faster than normal. I struggled to run slow in these shoes for my cool down mile- your feet turnover fast in these shoes. I did have to size up a half size from a 7. 5 to 8, but super pleased after just one run. I worry that the 8mm drop is a little too high for me to use on long runs tho, but we ’ ll see.

Good looking shoe out of the box, and super light weight!! depending on which Nike shoe I buy, I ’ m a 9. 5/10W, so I went with a 10W to give my toes extra room. Perfect fit with enough room. After putting them on the shoes were super comfortable very spongy and supportive. Took them out for a 3 mile run the next day and they were amazing, responsive, no heel slippage, feet weren ’ t sliding, and honestly make you want to go faster. Can ’ t speak on previous models of the zoom x as i never tried them out, but would definitely recommend this one if you ’ re looking for a daily trainer for short, longer miles, speed work etc.

I ’ m a great lover of Brooks running trainers and have bought these in anticipation of an upcoming marathon. Have worn for circa 30 miles of training runs and they have been a revelation. I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

I have been running in Glycerins or similar Brooks for 6 years, these are completely different and Amazing. It ’s either the extremely light weight, or the carbon plate, or the rounded toe and heel, who knows, but they are Fast. They also like a high speed to feel natural, anything faster than a 8: 00 min mile and they really start to do what they were made to do- the shoe Becomes more efficient at higher speeds.

Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. Grab the loops at the top and back to slip on more easily. The laces did dig into the top of my feet, but problem solved with a Lydiard- style lacing( see photo).

Had to go half size up for a bit more length for toes but not a big issue, I have narrow feet and width is perfect. Haven ’ t ever felt a more comfortable, bouncy, carbon plated shoe. Usually carbon plated shoes hurt my feet after a few miles- these don ’ t. Just feel good to run in and they keep your feet turning over. Only complaint is little hard to get on. Also have the Mach 6 as a daily trainer and love that too. Also have the cielo road shoes- try these they are amazing with peba foam..

We have had the Adizero TYO and recently the Nike Dragonfly, and so far these seem like better spikes. More supportive, lighter and very aggressive roll. Have used them in an 800 and 1500 so far. Will also be using them for the 3200m. Interesting that no top runners use these, but will use Hoka or UA. Does n't make a lot of sense given how good these seem. I 'm not sure why Saucony does n't sponsor anyone on the track.

The Edge model was better for my cadence style running with the plate lower in the sole. Easy to run fast. These do great up and down hills. Upper works well and keeps my feet cool.

[ Was looking for the perfect gravel bike shoe and I found it! Shimano comes with an amazing reputation for quality products and customer service( that I hope I never have to use). These shoes fit perfect right out of the box, were able to be adjusted for my two screw clips, and overall feel very secure with the boa closure. I bought this and I got it yesterday and I was extremely happy about it. I ’ m very active in the gym and I ’ m a nurse who walks a lot by the way. I jog in the treadmill for 30- 45 minutes without stopping but not doing it lately. I can last about 10 minutes only coz of the shoe I was wearing. I have one fave shoes from Nike, Zoom X. But I tried Hoka for the first time. This was my first one. This shoe I highly recommend to anyone: nurse and athletic or athlete. Very comfortable, cute and stylish.
