Lews makes the best casting rods, the 7ft carbon fire rod is a light comfortable rod ... Feels lighter and more sensitive to bites. ... Used the same reel on both rods and I definitely prefer this one way

Let ’s get one thing straight, I am known for breaking rods.. The Tatula has been holding up great as i ’ ve been using it for a few months since the last rod broke. I ’ ve used it on 30+ lb carps and buffalo with no issues! I paired it up with the Revo sx baitcaster and i ’ ve been loving it ever since!

I own a lot of high end rods, and these Duckett rods are great. I am not sure what the other guy did to break one, but I have hooked some HUGE fish and had zero problems. Micro guides give you an extreme sensitivity and longest casting distance of any rod I own. My favorite set up is this rod in Medium Heavy with Abu Revo Rocket reel.

I have been using Duckett Rods for about 18 months now. I have 22 Mirco Magic Pros and 4 Ghosts and could not be more satisfied with a rod. Super lightweight, strong, sensitive, and has great aesthetic appeal. I 've trusted these rods over the past 18 months to win thousands of dollars on the Bassmaster Opens trail. For whatever technique you 're fishing, Duckett makes a rod for you!

I ’ ve only fished with this rod once but already love it. Excellent casting and good action. Definitely recommend this product.

I read some reviews on Duckett's line of casting& spinning rods and decided to give the Micro Magic casting rod a try, primarily because of the great sale price at Dick's. In a word, it's OK. Alot of complaints about the eyes not holding up but I have n't had any issues yet. It's rated a little soft and found the medium closer to a med light, so I returned it and got a med heavy 7'... much better. Have n't used it that long, but so far so good. Worth the sale price for sure.

I have always wanted to a John Skinner Jig& bounce pole. I first noticed how extremely light this pole is. And its totatlly different from other jigging poles I have felt and owned. I am glad I purchased and Dicks shipping is extraordinary!! Blink of an eye its there. Great purchase and very satisfying shipping. Next I would like to see all the possibilities in a baitcaster reel.

I bought this rod back in April for a June annual trip to the Nantucket Shoals. We use heavy lead to fish fluke at 100' or better there. I did not love this stick for fluke. On a whim, I gave it as shot locally on Long Island for jigging stripers with flutter spoons. I will say hands down this is an awesome rod for that use. Plenty of action in the rod. It bends perfect for fighting big stripers. I paired this with a 5. 3 Avet reel( not sold at Dicks) and it performed great. For me it is not a good fluke rod, but really like it for bigger fishing and active jigging.

Friend of mine obly jigs, he treated himself to a skinner heavy jigging rod. I am new to jigging, went on my friends reccomendatios and got the skinner rod. I matched it with a calcutta conquest 200. Total weight slightly over 1 lb. Lightest oytfit i ever handled. Excellent.

I have used my carbon fiber Ugly Stick for about 2 years now and caught many trout to 21 inches on the 5 ’ 6 light pole. Its sensitive and fun to fish. No issues with durability. The reel bracket can come a little loose with use, but its not an issue. Tight lines!

Bought an UglyStik Carbon bait casting rod. It shipped and arrived quickly, but beware! It came loose in a big flimzy box with zero packing, no bubble wrap, just flopping around in a crushed box. I dodged a bullet and it was OK, but I 'll never order anything like this from Dicks again.

I hands down love this setup for multi- species fishing! I keep it in my tackle backpack and break it out every time. I use a Drop Dead Ned Rig on it and have caught multiple species! Highly recommended!
When selecting a casting rod for light lures, consider the rod's action and power. A fast action rod provides better sensitivity and responsiveness, while a light power rating ensures the rod can handle smaller lures effectively. Additionally, look for lightweight materials that enhance casting distance and accuracy.
Casting rods for light lures are ideal for techniques such as finesse fishing, drop shotting, and light jigging. These techniques require precision and sensitivity, making a lightweight casting rod an excellent choice. They allow anglers to detect subtle bites and make accurate casts in various fishing environments.
The length of a casting rod can significantly impact its performance with light lures. Shorter rods offer better control and accuracy for close-range casts, while longer rods can provide increased casting distance. Choosing the right length depends on your fishing style and the specific conditions you’ll be fishing in.
Casting rods for light lures are typically made from materials like graphite or fiberglass. Graphite rods are lightweight and sensitive, allowing for better feel and responsiveness. Fiberglass rods, on the other hand, offer durability and flexibility, making them suitable for various fishing conditions and techniques.
Yes, when using casting rods for light lures, consider the fishing environment, such as freshwater versus saltwater. In freshwater, lighter lures may be more effective in calm conditions, while in saltwater, you might need to account for wind and current. Additionally, the type of fish you are targeting can influence your choice of rod and lure combination.
