Great shoe, it fits really well and Nike seems to have found it's way again by going back to basis. What stops me from giving 5/5 starts is that although it offers an excellent fell and fits like a glove around your foot, I would have liked better support/fit around the ankle( the opening seems to need a bit more cushioning like the Air Max has to offer). Maybe bring back the laces v- shape from older models, it used to offer a bit of a tighter fit. Overall great shoe, I would highly recommend!

During a tennis match or practice you will definitely feel the weight of these shoes towards the tail end. These are definitely on the heavier side compared to other tennis shoes I have worn. Although, they make me feel very stable and secure. The treads seem to be wearing a bit quicker than some of my other pairs but I go through tennis shoes very often playing 2- 3 hours for at least 4 days a week. I ’ ve written this review 3 times but it hasn ’ t shown up- apologies if this is redundant… Great lateral stability but below average energy return when bouncing, sprinting, jumping, etc. all this shoe needs is a full length zoomx midsole or a combination of zoomx and zoom heel/toe pads, softer outsole and a reinforced padded tongue. If done, Nike would have a premier basketball shoe that would rival the GT and Nike signature lines.

Great stability and control. Of all of the current Nike tennis shoes for women, these are the ones that find the balance of stability without being too heavy or clunky. The GP Challenge Pro is the best shoes for anyone playing hardcourt 3+/week. For me, the Zooms are too flexible- there are n't any brakes when you sprint and change direction on hardcourt in the Zooms. Plus the sole of the Zoom wears out too quickly, I replaced them every two months because the tread was gone. The Zooms triggered plantar fasciitis when I wore them because my feet were working too hard in the loose, flexible shoe. A competitor of mine broke her foot the first time she wore the Zooms. First short ball she sprinted from the baseline and broke her foot. No stability. The Osaka's are CUTE but are far too heavy and not breathable enough for a long singles match. Enter the GP Challenge Pro. The upper has reinforcement at the midsole to keep you locked in. It prevents you from sliding through the toe when you are sweaty and chasing short balls. The tread is hearty and holds up with frequent hardcourt use- I am replacing mine every 6 months which is typical if not a little longer than usual. And the sole has an athletic contour with little give that makes the shoe very responsive. They are such a good shoe that you never have to think about them. My only gripe about them is the CHEAP insole. It is so laughably bad it ruins the shoe. I end up using the Sof Sole athletic gel insole. It is easier on the joints and prevents blisters and bunching than the sole provided. With the replacement insole it is a 5 star shoe.

My favorite shoe! Built to last and plays to perform. This shoe fits snug and gives you support so you can excel on the court. You feel ready to attack a move with speed and control. They do n't feel like just another shoe. I bought the vapor 11 and they fo not compare. They feel flat and less support. They are made well but you may burn through the toe area fast. You wo n't burn through the toe in the Cage 4 Rafa. They work for me. I have an average foot with no specific needs. These are my match time shoes.
