The Contour casual has the same benefit of the excellent gripping sole( without spikes) and also the ability to go car to pro shop( not wearing out golf cleats). The leather on this shoe is amazing and if you 've owned FJ before, you know to buy something when it's available because there's always the poss of things changing in future years with sytle etc. The functionality of this shoe is A++, the quality is A++, the durability is A++. I can not speak for waterproof quality as I have not worn the shoe in wet conditions, but FJ has always warrantied thier products well and so I think that will be A+ as well.

I 've had these for six weeks of summer on sidewalks and woods' rutty trails where they 've been great-- perfect insulation from the ground's surface, good traction on wet and/or uneven ground, plenty roomy for my wide forefeet whether w/ socks or not, and w/ a springy stride. They are also too wide in the heel but nonetheless keep my heels from sliding around. And they 're the best clog design IMO for staying dry in light rain w/ a wide- enough umbrella. The only downside I 've noticed is that small gravel can get stuck in the soles if on pavement. Would love to have them in all white.
