[ I 've had a few pairs of this shoe for a couple years now and it's the perfect climbing shoe. This model is also an upgrade from the 2018 version. They are technical and a tiny bit aggressive, but still softish. The best part is the closure system. The length of the strap is adjustable, which is amazing because the shoes do stretch a tiny bit as you break them in and they mold to your feet. And even after breaking them in, they 'll be tighter when they 're fully dry and looser when wet from sweat. Being able to adjust the length of the strap is critical and means that I can always have a perfect fit. Speaking of fit, I have narrow, low volume feet and these are one of few shoes that fit me well.( If you have higher volume feet, check out the men's version, Kronos). And they are very comfortable for climbing shoes. The only weird thing about these shoes is the history of the sizing. I had the 2018 model( which was also great) in a size 8, but a size 6 in these fits exactly the same. I 'm not sure why they changed their sizing. My normal street shoe size is 7. 5ish. Overall, these shoes are my absolute favorite and I hope they never get discontinued because they are my forever climbing shoe--- I buy a pair whenever I can get a deal. I wish Evolv made a more aggressive version of the same shoe!

Excellent cushioning and support, good tread, and the leather exterior withstands all of the wear, rear, and abuse my husband puts them through everyday.- 0. 5 stars because we can ’ t find the Ironclad in stores anymore, and while we ’ re happy to order them online, it would be nice to get them locally from time to time. [ Searched around a lot. Bought these because my husband has Vasques and loves them. They ’ re comfy so far( just worn around the neighborhood and a couple short 1- 2 mile hikes). Grip seems good. I wore them in some slush/ice and had no issues. I think they ’ re really attractive. Was worried that the white sole would stain easily and look junky, but so far it ’s been fine. Haven ’ t been in mud yet though. I gave the comfort 4 stars because there ’s a spot where the upper was rubbing when I was breaking them in. It ’s gotten better and I imagine it will go away once they ’ re fully broken in. I ’ m also not used to having that much ankle coverage, so it could be that that ’s affecting me.

Being a Transplant from coast of North Carolina to Massachusetts in the early sixties. I learned very quickly that the Sorel Caribou boot was the Best way to keep feet dry and relatively warm in the Great white Tundra of the North East states. So when I wanted a nice pair of casual waterproof winter walking boots in the Chelsea style, I was thrilled to see that Ariat made them! Note: I first purchased reg width( wide, my width, was n't avail at the time) in size 8- 1/2 the boot itself fit perfect but the tops were too narrow above the ankle& rubbed my leg. I exchanged for wide width( avail after Christmas!) size 9( as 8- 1/2 were n't avail), I so wanted these boots. The top part above ankle does n't rub( yay) but the boot is way big for my foot. I bought super thick wool socks and manage but still too big on my feet, they slide as I walk. An 8- 1/2, wide- width would 've been perfect for me but I do n't believe they return 2x's. I wear them but can not walk fast in them and I 'm a NYer, oxymoronic. Highly recommend Ariat's Wexford Chelsea waterproof boots regardless! Super boots.

I want to start by saying that I have been a loyal follower and buyer of Salomon boots for as long as I can remember. For at least the past ten years, I have worn them every single day. I replace my boots annually—not because they wear out or break down, but simply because I love the feel of new boots. In fact, I still have all of my previous pairs, except my very first ones( which I should have kept as well). Each pair continues to serve me in different ways. When I first purchase a new pair, they become my work boots, while the older ones transition into hiking boots, allowing them time to break in naturally. After about six months, I begin using the newer boots for hiking, always carrying an extra pair in my pack in case I need to swap them out—usually due to an issue like water getting inside. Let me emphasize that under normal conditions, these boots do not get wet inside. However, if fully submerged underwater—which I have done on several occasions—they will absorb moisture. When this happens, I hang the wet boot on the outside of my pack to dry while I continue my journey. I can confidently say that Salomon makes outstanding boots. They have been an essential part of my adventures, and I highly recommend them. Great boots, great company, and great experiences with Salomon!

Boot met and exceeded expectations. First pair of Salomon ’s and could not be happier. Great support, and waterproof membrane has helped so much. Used them on a late season hunt and kept my feet warm and dry.

I bought thease boots a yr ago. Went on a serious hike at 14000 ft elevation for a few weekends. Bottom sole had a blow out. Was able to have it replaced with the warranty.
