[ I have had several pairs of these and will keep buying them as long as they are available. I use them for everything from hiking and fishing to farm work, roofing and all types of construction. I even have a pair I wear for casual outings. I do n't think they are intended for the abuse I put them through, but they hold up pretty well and most importantly, I never think of my feet hurting while I 'm wearing them, even after long, exhausting days. perfect lightweight hiking shoe for the outdoors. I took these to Alaska on vacation and put them to use. Hiked trails, mountains, roads, rivers, explored tidepools you name it. all around a great shoe. I would recommend pairing these with a good insole if you plan to use them for long periods of time as the bottom of the sole( outside the shoe) is very rigid and durable, but at times the stiffness and hardness can be felt on the bottom of your foot.

So far these have been great in the cold, snowy winter. They seem to be waterproof as advertised and are relatively comfortable. They work well for shoveling and are comfortable enough to wear to quick trips to stores, etc. I would n't want to wear them all day long. Got these because I wanted vegan running shoes and this was the only running shoe that was listed in that category. It says its a cross between a trail runner and hiking shoes and does work for jogging, far nicer than my vegan sambas for that. Wish you guys would add more street running shoes tho, would def pick some up real quick if you added some. These are an awesome sneaker. I love a slip on shoe and these allow you to have a slip on style shoe but still feel nice and snug with their lacing system. The padding around the ankle and heel is SO soft and comfortable. It feels like a tempur- pedic pillow for your foot/ankle. These are great for a trail but also just for normal walks or going around town. My only recommendation for improvement would be that the end of the laces/string bounces around a bit while you are walking. I have just been tucking them back under the laces to fix this but would be nice if there was something on the shoe that could do this for me. Either way, awesome shoe!

As soon as I received Merrell's email about these several weeks ago, I was intrigued. I really liked their look and style; plus being waterproof was also a benefit. As soon as I saw that they had gone on Merrell's Holiday discount, I grabbed a pair at a great price. I 've been wearing Moabs for years and they have all been exceptional. I did notice that the footbed under the ball of my foot seemed to be a bit thinner than my other Moabs. However, it might simply be that these Moab 3 Luxe have a more aggressive tread. Either way, after a day or so the footbed cradled to my foot, and I 've been delighted. I still do need to get used to the newer thinner slightly flatter laces, and do wish they were a few inches longer.

Out of all my high top Altra shoes this is the most lightweight of them all. I have to send the left shoe off to have a lift built onto the bottom, which usually makes it very heavy. It added weight to it, but it is still really lightweight in comparison. Always very warm and durable, just wish you would make this exact shoe with a taller top for better ankle support. I had a stroke and could use a little more ankle support. All in all a 5 star ranking from me!

For having been rocking a competitor brand that's very cushioned, I 've been experimenting and wanted to give these a try. I 'm not hip on the zero drop or whatever chatter. I 'm very basic and oblivious to the jargon. I let me feet tell me if they like a shoe or not. Two features I was focused on in a hiking/hunting boot- light weight and wide width. This boot does not disappoint. They are very light weight and in the field, every ounce you carry matters. And to my surprise, the wide width is actually roomy enough for my 4E wide feet. Plenty of room for thick socks! I ordered a 9 although my normal size is 8 1/2 and probably could have done with an 8 1/2 wide. Normally I have to size up for shoes and boots even in claimed wide widths. These boots are also comfortable right out of the box, with plenty of cushioning. Ca n't wait to get them into the woods and see how they do!

Good boots. Light weight, good fit for me. I often have difficulty getting a just right fit. The Targhee has been a good boot for me in the past. The Apex version continues that tradition for me. Also have had a couple pairs of low top Zionics. I like them but the Apex fits me a bit better. A shade more toe box room. I would n't mind even a tad more. I will likely replace the Zionics with low top Apex shoes at some point. At 69 my feet are more particular than they once were and Keens keep me comfortably on the trail. I bought my second pair of these approximately a month ago. My last pair I used to backpack the Himalayas twice, Colorado, North Carolina and North Georgia. I also used them as my go to hunting boot as well. They 're heavy duty and it taken care of will last for years and years. I brought the leather back to life on mine using mink oil several times. They look good with a pair of jeans as well and make a great statement when worn in. I hated to let my other pair go and buy another pair but they served me well for over a decade. Beware though. They are waterproof and not as breathable as running shoes. So it ’s a little too warm. The soles are soft too. After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I do n't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version... I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.

I had just received my trail glove 8s and absolutely love them! I have owned every generation since Trail Glove 4, which were my favorites. After Gen 5, it seemed Merrell scrapped the wider toe box of the Trail Glove which severely reduced comfort; the Gen 6 and 7s were tighter on the sides, not to mention ugly. These return to the wider toe box, improved arch support, and it seems they reinforced the sides to prevent tearing( which was a problem with the gen 4s and 5s). Not to mention they look nicer than the previous two Gens. I 'm giving these five stars, however time will tell if they are durable. But for now, I 'm satisfied and highly recommend.

This is my second pair. As I get older, I find my feet need more help than they did in the past. I have been walking g 5- 6 miles per day and have recently discovered the barefoot style of shoes. These Trail gloves, while perhaps not as flexible in the sole as some other brands, really feel good on my feet. Plenty of room in the toe box and zero drop adhere to the barefoot style. Also the stack height is just right for me as it protects from sharp rocks. One of my absolute favorite features of these shoes is the burrito tongue. It ’s genius! Typical tongues on other shoes tend to roll to the outside of my feet and become off center, making the. Uncomfortable. Trail Glove 8s do not! Nor do the Vapor Glove 7s. These are a winner for me!

Thank God you got the burrito tongue back. I 've been nursing a couple of TG- 4's in hopes these would come back. I 've had spine fusion and the burrito tongue makes it so much easier to put shoes on. Back flexibility becomes an issue. The denser sole helps a great deal for long days on my feet. Great shoes. No break in period. I took them to Scotland for my honeymoon. Hiked up Ben Nevis when it was pouring rain, feet stayed warm and dry. My only recommendation is to buy more than one pair to make sure they do n't have any weird crease points or hot spots. I had to get 3 pairs in order to find one pair that did n't have hot spots on my pinky toe( weird creasing on the toes). All in all, I would recommend these shoes.
