[ I have had several pairs of these and will keep buying them as long as they are available. I use them for everything from hiking and fishing to farm work, roofing and all types of construction. I even have a pair I wear for casual outings. I do n't think they are intended for the abuse I put them through, but they hold up pretty well and most importantly, I never think of my feet hurting while I 'm wearing them, even after long, exhausting days. [ I was finally happy to see a wide light weight hiker from Keen. For awhile most of their light weight hikers never came in wide, so this is very welcome. The shoe overall is well build with solid traction. They are sneaker comfortable out of the box but I do wish they had slightly more arch support. The lack of arch support was solved by using a Keen foot insert, the k- 10. Tons of room the toe box too.

I bought my second pair of these approximately a month ago. My last pair I used to backpack the Himalayas twice, Colorado, North Carolina and North Georgia. I also used them as my go to hunting boot as well. They 're heavy duty and it taken care of will last for years and years. I brought the leather back to life on mine using mink oil several times. They look good with a pair of jeans as well and make a great statement when worn in. I hated to let my other pair go and buy another pair but they served me well for over a decade. Bought a pair of these in 2001 and they were ready to be sent back to Danner for new soles. Come to find out my wife and mother in law sold that pair in a yard sale..:( Waited things out and they came on sale at Dick's for just under$ 285. Pulled the trigger for another pair of 8 EE's and just could not be more pleased. This time, bought the new Danner DXT Comfort Insoles( direct for Danner), and they made the best hiking boot, even better. Yeah, They are a lot of money, but they are well worth every penny. With the Mountain light IIs, 1/2 size down is the right fit for me with the EE wide fit. And, Dick's had the boots at our front door in two days!!!

As soon as I received Merrell's email about these several weeks ago, I was intrigued. I really liked their look and style; plus being waterproof was also a benefit. As soon as I saw that they had gone on Merrell's Holiday discount, I grabbed a pair at a great price. I 've been wearing Moabs for years and they have all been exceptional. I did notice that the footbed under the ball of my foot seemed to be a bit thinner than my other Moabs. However, it might simply be that these Moab 3 Luxe have a more aggressive tread. Either way, after a day or so the footbed cradled to my foot, and I 've been delighted. I still do need to get used to the newer thinner slightly flatter laces, and do wish they were a few inches longer.

This shoe is a reinvention of the Moab Smooth from a few years ago that was probably the best boot made by this company. In this new version there have been some upgrades in terms of styling, but as with the original one of the best features is that it's much more water resistant than the traditional boot with the brushed or `` suede '' style material. None of their boots are truly waterproof but this one probably comes the closest so it's my favorite and I 've bought several pairs already.

[ I purchased these for carrying heavy loads in the Adirondacks. So far they have performed as advertised. The sole is nice and stiff for supporting your weight. There is also ample grip on any terrain. The boot kept my feet warm on a cool day. No experience yet in hot weather. They are a bit heavy but they are bullet proof.

[ I usually don ’ t rate products but these boots are great. They took virtually no time to break in even though they are a bit stiff. Use them hiking in the mountains and the give me great support which is mainly what I was looking for in a boot. Be aware they are a bit on the heavy side but for me they are worth it. I have used them one season and they still look great, very tough exterior really resist scuffs from rocks.

I have a pair of the military issue version of these boots, love these boots! I walk my dog in the high desert of NM around 4 miles a day. The are just right, not to heavy but give great support and protection in the varying high desert terrain. Just purchased a new pair, these are almost exactly the same as the issue version. The only difference is the new version has hooks at the very top lace, opposed to the holes on the mil version, which is even better!

[ Had these boots for a month now, I have not had the privilege to take them on a serious hike yet. I have had them off road in mud, the treads load up, but do self clean. The Gore- Tex liner works good, almost too good. My feet seemed to overheat in temps over 30 degrees. They are comfortable and require no break in period. I can see why Danner Crater Rim boots are a boot of choice for SOF operators in Afghan and other challenging environment. Best of all they are American made!!

Out of all my high top Altra shoes this is the most lightweight of them all. I have to send the left shoe off to have a lift built onto the bottom, which usually makes it very heavy. It added weight to it, but it is still really lightweight in comparison. Always very warm and durable, just wish you would make this exact shoe with a taller top for better ankle support. I had a stroke and could use a little more ankle support. All in all a 5 star ranking from me!

For having been rocking a competitor brand that's very cushioned, I 've been experimenting and wanted to give these a try. I 'm not hip on the zero drop or whatever chatter. I 'm very basic and oblivious to the jargon. I let me feet tell me if they like a shoe or not. I 've already taken these puppies on some monster trails and I do n't feel pain or discomfort after being on my feet for so long. From a mean 15 miler with 4k in gains at Great Basin to a 10 miler with 3k gains around Mt Charleston. These shoes still look fresh and are keeping me happy! I 'll keep putting them to the test, but so far so good

I love these shoes. I walked the Cotswold trail in them and never had wet feet. They are very comfortable! I ’ m getting a second pair for when these ones wear out. I am on my feet all day for work and these have been a game changer. I only wish the top holes were replaced with hooks. That ’s all!
