As someone with a lot of foot problems, finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and that look nice had been a challenge. After trying similar LL Bean and Timberland shoes, I finally got the Moab 3 from Merrell. After 4 years of daily use and frequent outdoors activity including outings with my son's scout troop, the upper started to crack where my foot flexes. The sole and lining was still in good condition with reasonable wear. With a rainy camping trip looming, I got the replacement pair and have been just as happy with the new shoes as I had been with the old ones. These are super comfortable and very lightweight for a mid hiking shoe. The outer is only slightly tougher than a normal running shoe, but waterproof. Of course the outsole is much grippier. These are extremely lightweight and comfortable for me. I ’ m pretty thin though, and I can see why some say they have trouble fitting with wider feet/ankles. The shoe has no tongue, so it doesn ’ t splay open as far as other shoes. If you have big ankles and/or wear your tennies wide open& untied, this shoe will not work out for you. This is for people who cinch& tie their shoes so they can be active without them falling off. If you ’ re going to give these a shot, know that they are oddly small in length relative just about any other shoe of the same size. I read this in reviews, so I ordered a half- size up& my toes are still right at the end of the shoe. Full size up recommended.

[ I had a pair of Newton Ridge 2 last year that held up very well, except for the tread wearing down to almost nothing, and water would trickle in after they had aged a few months. Moving into the Newton Wander has felt like a big step up. Cosmetically they look much nicer, and have a sleek look. They clean up very nicely too. I work in a lot of slick, and icy terrain so my biggest selling point is traction and durability. I have slipped around here and there wearing these, so that's why I have to dock one star. When hiking, working, climbing traction is absolutely key, and these unfortunately could be better in that regard. That aside they keep my feet dry, warm, and comfortable without making my feet sweat, and even after a long day at work my feet are n't aching at the end of it. All in all I do recommend these boots, but to advise caution on overly slick surfaces.

I ’ ve been wearing Merrill shoes since I was in the Army. I got this particular model in 2010 and it felt like I was Spider- Man humping up and down the Hindu Kush. I also recommend the chameleons! So now that it ’s been ten years I picked up going for long walks and was wearing tennis shoes. I went back to these and love them! The only issue is my left foot toe bed was rubbing but it ’s an uncommon issue and only happened AFTER my eight miles during a cool down mile. I previously did ten miles in these and had no issue! No limping, no true pain beyond having walked ten/eight miles, no blisters. I ’ m happy the quality is still top notch since 2010.

[ I have hiked 1000's of miles on Asolo boots over the years and had many models. This one runs a tad bigger ue I have always been a 10 in the boot line so I would say it fits more like a 10. 5 but comfortable. Very rigid sole, which I look for in a boot and slightly on the heavier side, which does n't bother me. I did see where someone complained about a stitching clustster were the toungue is sewn together amd that was rather uncomfortable as it sat directly beneath one of the lace locks. I took a pair of flat nose pliers to the material wad.. for lack of a better term.. lol and worked it over a bit w the pliers squeezing and turning wo tearing it! So do n't go to crazy just cruah it down and it solved that problem rather easily. Great boot. Fit is larger. Crush the extra material to soften it.

Keens have always been very comfortable right out of the box, and these were no different. I have a high arch and wide feet but these fit well without being too snug. I also have a pair of Keen Targhee Slip On that are great for everyday... especially in the winters in New England. These boots are perfect for hiking, snowshoeing, and( more recently) shoveling.

Hike 6 miles per day. Half asphalt and half gravel. To Date= 54 miles in these boots. Break in took 40 miles. Cons: 1. Blister: Still have Blister on right heel. 2. Ankle: Inside Right ankle was sore through 40 miles. This was due to rubbing up against part inside ankle padding that attaches outside Hook Eyelet. Pros: 1. Sturdy- No breakdown of any material or stichibg above the sole 2. Comfortable- After break in period of 40 miles, ankle pain went away. Hard to tell boots are even on during each hike. 3. Sole- Slight wear on heal and outside ball- nothing significant 4. Grip- excellent. I do have to go down hill on 20% grade for 70 feet on loose gravel, no slip Overall 1. I Recommend these boots 2. Water Resistance=??- No rain or puddles where I live yet

I bought these boots I swear about 8 years ago and they are still going strong. I have worn these two work and worn them to climb and hike and my feet have never gotten wet. They are better suited for the cold but I 've worn them all year long. I really ca n't believe how long they 're lasting. And I really ca n't believe they still have this model. Usually they change or discontinue a model of shoe but these bridgers are awesome.

[ This is my 4th pair of Oboz Bridgers. I use the 10 '' insulated for winter hiking and snowshoeing, the low for rocky terrain in warm weather, and have been running a set of Premium Mids for fall hiking. These things are incredibly well constructed, very supportive, totally waterproof, and super comfortable. With my current mids having put in a long service life, including plenty of winter wear, I was due for a new set. They 've made some thoughtful improvements to the tongue and lace hooks, but everything else that I love about the shoes remains intact. The factory insoles are great, but I do swap them out for a set of Superfeet as a personal preference. Despite a lack of insulation and good breathability, there is enough material and protection to make these a bit stifling in warm weather. The added benefit is that they are great during chilly hikes in late fall and make great everyday shoes for winter. As has been my experience with Oboz, I did bump up a half size and it fits perfectly.

[ This is my second pair of Oboz Boots, having purchased and used the Yellowstone II several years ago and wearing them on numerous hikes and camping trips. I ’ m still breaking them in, but I am very happy with them so far. The color( Sahara) doesn ’ t look at all like the pictures online and they are actually much more olive green in reality. Personally I like the actual color even better than the online pics. Comfort was fairly good out of the box…there is a spot on the outside of the left boot that can get uncomfortable after a full day of wear, but I ’ m guessing this will work out with more break in since they are leather. Overall they feel very well made and look great. Weight feels good for the level of protection and durability offered. I can ’ t wait to get them out on the trails!

Very happy with these. Much easier to get on and off than my old original Keens with a new enclosure design, and they still cinch up fairly tight. I would normally get a 11 in a Newport, got 10. 5 in these sandals.
