I got this shoes a couple of weeks and are super comfortable

5 Jrex
As comfortable and plush padded as other Hooka's, and water goes right thru and dry in minutes, best of both worlds. I have super sensitive feet and these are as comfortable as super stacked cushioned running shoes and socks

5 Photo guy
I liked these sandals so much I bought a second pair. Excellent sandal to walk in. I 've got a trip coming up and I bought a second pair just for the theme park. Got them on sale at an incredible price.

Great sandal. I have neuropathy and they were comfortable for water activities in Cancun.

5 Utah46
I 've been wearing them for several weeks now and wore them for a week of wet weather in Oregon. Overall the traction( grip) is great, comfort is good, and quality appears to be goid as well. No sore spots, but the `` neoprene '' padding covering the plastic triangle is cut shorter than my previous pair of Tevas and likes to fold under my foot everytime I put them on. Once straightened, it stays in place but is a little bit annoying each time I put them on.

Super comfortable and feel great on my feel when walking or jogging.

[ These are great sneakers... just wish they were only black& white. The pink part on the tongue of the show makes me think about returning. Was looking for a solid black with white bottom like last season. Other than that, great sneaker. They do run a little small.

5 Kit
[ These new shoes are the best I have ever worn from Columbia Sportswear.

I bought these for rainy day runs but have loved them for everything! The fit is nice overall, maybe a little tighter tie box than I ’ m used to for running but still roomy enough to be comfortable. On walks and runs these guys keep my feet so warm and dry! I ’ m actually going to buy a second pair bc they are soooo worth it!

[ Awesome sandals. I have worn Keens for years and I absolutely love them. They wear good, comfortable like no other shoes I 've ever worn. I live in Wisconsin and I still wear sandals and my keen boots in the winter. That's how much I like them.

5 Pgtb12
A comfortable and supportable pair of sandals to wear.

5 Gerald D.
We had trouble finding these in our local area and when I found them online that matched her old pair( that should have been thrown out!) I bought two pair in different colors, her regular blue and a rainbow color. She is thrilled! Thank you Keen. She wears them everywhere; no socks in the summer and with socks in the fall/winter. Don ’ t change a thing!

5 Harriette R.
The newports are comfortable and great to walk in all day.

5 Tommi
I purchased these shoes in early Feb and have just worn them now. I am impressed with the comfort and support they offer. We go on cruises and I prefer `` water '' shoes over sandals. The style is great and I will also wear them for low impact workouts. The fact that they are water proof and dry quickly is a bonus. I wash all my work- out shoes and air dry them. They come out looking like new. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

5 onivan
Bought for my niece to replace the same par which had worn out. Initially they felt rather uncomfortable comparing to the old ones, but lately she told me that the new once are as well excellent and her feet are comfy and cool in the hot sunny walks.

5 mona
[ Very comfortable to walk in and its color shades do not allow it to withstand dirt.

5 Amanda
[ I love these shoes! I had the original Drainmakers and these are my second pair. They really make packing for adventures easy because I don ’ t have to think about hiking and water shoes as two separate things. They ’ re comfortable and have great traction! I recommend these to everybody.

5 Wtrfit
[ I ’ ve been using this shoe for years. The shoe actually lasts several years but I like to switch them out when doing Water Aerobics. They are great if you have feet trouble and I highly recommend them. I am noticing they are no longer in stock and I am seriously hoping they are not going to get rid of this product!

Frequently Asked Questions For Hiking In Water Shoes

When selecting water shoes for hiking, consider features such as waterproof materials, good drainage systems, and traction on wet surfaces. A secure fit is also important to prevent slipping, especially in rocky or uneven terrain. Additionally, lightweight designs can enhance comfort during long hikes.

Water shoes can be suitable for various types of hiking, particularly in wet or muddy conditions. They are ideal for trails that involve stream crossings or coastal areas. However, for more rugged or rocky terrains, you may want to consider shoes with more support and protection.

Water shoes differ from traditional hiking shoes primarily in their design and materials. They are typically made from quick-drying materials and feature drainage holes to allow water to escape. Traditional hiking shoes, on the other hand, focus more on providing support, cushioning, and protection from rough terrain.

Hiking in water shoes is best suited for activities that involve wet conditions, such as hiking along rivers, lakes, or coastal paths. They are also great for activities like kayaking or paddleboarding, where you may need to walk on slippery surfaces. Additionally, they can be useful for casual hikes in warm weather.

While water shoes can be worn in colder weather, they may not provide sufficient insulation or warmth. If you plan to hike in cooler temperatures, consider layering with thicker socks or choosing shoes designed for colder conditions. Always ensure that your footwear keeps your feet comfortable and protected from the elements.

To ensure a proper fit when choosing water shoes for hiking, it's important to try them on with the socks you plan to wear. Look for a snug fit that allows for some movement without being too tight. Additionally, check for any pressure points that could cause discomfort during long hikes.
